AWFUL! DO NOT STAY HERE!
Possibly one of the worse hotels I’ve stayed in. Upon arrival you are presented with a weird drink in the reception and given a list of the hotel facilities. There is then no explanation of the list, you are expected to find your own way to the room. We hung around the lobby for 20 minutes asking where our room was because no one was showing us. Eventually, a staff member aggressively told me a cart delivered me to my room. We then waited another 10 minutes for said cart to arrive. The room was clean which was the highlight. We paid for a sea view and it was barely that because the hotel is located across a highway from the beech. We were then told the restaurants could only be dined in 3 times a week. Despite paying for all inclusive. No one informed us you could dine at the restaurant if you had booked 24 hours before. Some of the staff were lovely but they looked stressed and overworked. The pool staff never once asked if we wanted drinks and we were shouted out for approaching the pool bar because we had to order through the staff stood around the bar. No one explained this. You had no chance of getting remotely tipsy because the service was just that poor and the alcohol was just that weak. I’m really not sure how this place got 5 stars and I’m not sure how TUI present it as a platinum hotel either.
If you’re reading this and you’re used to luxury, this isn’t it. Pay the extra few hundred pounds and go elsewhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

All-inclusive, featuring high-quality food and branded drinks. The variety and choice of food are excellent! Management and staff are on the same line... the customer is king. Hygiene is top, too! This hotel is highly recommended!!!

This was our 5th time at this hotel. We had yet another amazing two-week stay at Anemos Luxury Grand Resort, and as always, the hotel and Crete itself have not disappointed.
The resort is beautiful, with spacious rooms, lovely pools, and easy access to an amazing beach. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxed without feeling crowded.
What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. They made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
The food in the main restaurant offered plenty of variety through “themed” evenings, and the quality was great. We especially appreciated being able to enjoy lunch at the beach bar - it became our favorite spot, especially for the view it offers and for the atmosphere.
The location was also excellent for exploring western Crete, with easy access to places like Rethymno, and many nature spots being a relatively short drive (under 1h) from the hotel.
We traveled as a family with children (6&10), and the resort worked very well for us. It offered a nice balance between relaxation and activities, and we left with many wonderful memories.
The only suggestion we would make is to expand the gym. It was very popular and often completely full, making it difficult to find space to work out. Adding more mirrors would also be a great improvement, as currently only a few people can exercise in front of the mirror, while others have to use the area near the cardio machines. It would make the gym experience much more comfortable for guests.
Thank you to the entire team at Anemos for making our holiday so enjoyable. We would definitely love to return.
