Great family vacation at the Domes
Incredible experience for our whole family! Amazingly beautiful location and views of the Mediterranean. Staff was very friendly across the board, including Petros, and they were instantaneously responsive to all our needs. We wished we could have stayed longer.
Super luxurious holiday in idyllic location
The hotel resort, which was like a small village in size, was ideally located in the beautiful bay between Elounda and the village of Plaka.
On entering the hotel, there was an immediate sense of ease, calm and luxury.
The suite that I stayed was was elegant and stylish in decoration, with a large television, mini-bar, safe, hairdryer, lots of towels, sofa, armchair, terrace and the most comfortable king size bed.
I was there for a week, half board, and in terms of price, this was the luxury holiday, so not cheap at all, but worth it, I felt.
Everything was spotlessly clean and the daily room service was excellent.
All of the staff, from the bar staff to the managers were friendly, professional and kind. I recovered from cancer last year, and this was my first holiday in a long time. One of the Customer Relations Managers very thoughtfully and kindly left a vase of flowers outside my room and a small gift with a card. I received a glass of champagne and a hug from the restaurant manager on my last night .
The resort was very peaceful, in terms of noise around the rooms, which was good. It would've been nice if they hadn't insisted on playing music all day at the beach from 10 am onwards. Sometimes you just want to gaze at the waves and let your mind wander in peace.
There were several swimming pools, but I preferred the beach and the shelter of the pine trees over the sunbeds. The sea was lovely to swim in and totally clear. All sunbeds and towels for the beach were provided. There were several restaurants to choose from, one gourmet with Michelin star chef, a lovely fish restaurant right by the beach and an Italian restaurant. The food and choice of wines was excellent.
There was also a spa on-site, where I had the most wonderful massage. It had plunge pools, a sauna and steam room, as well as Elemis facials and other beauty treatments.
Altogether, the holiday was like a dream.

I would return for a longer stay
A little over one hour's drive from Heraklion airport, the resort sits on the beach. very friendly staff, clean rooms, great food, well-designed resort

I came in 2021 and it was wonderful real charm to the place as it recovered from Covid. Whilst the village and people are outstanding and Plaka beautiful the resort not been upgraded tired looking and got a room with pool stairs that nearly came apart. Platinum Loyalty means nothing at this hotel if and status level won’t count for anything in room preference or upgrades even if staying for 9 nights which we were. They tried to give me a lesser room than what I booked under on arrival citing full occupancy. Wouldn’t come back to this hotel as over priced for facilities and rooms.
Loved it!
We loved our time at the hotel. The staff really make it - concierge, porters who drive the buggies, and the staff at Antoninos and at core in particular - all wonderful. If you are on dine around would recommend using the à la carte options on the nights that core is closed. We didn’t love the buffet offering, was not as nice as the other restaurants, each of which were fantastic, core in particular. The manageress and her team there are wonderful and the food is amazing. The haute living option is a great one.
