- Minos Beach Art Hotel

The resort is located by the sea, close to a small, rocky inlet of sand. It is just 1 km from Agios Nikolaos, the centre of Cretan culture. Guests can explore the lovely nature around the Agios Nikolaos Lake, which is only 15 minutes away. Furthermore, the beautiful Vai palm forest is 95 km away. Heraklion Airport is about 64 km from the resort. This deluxe waterfront hotel is an excellent 129-room establishment, set in a tranquil, colourful location surrounded by flower-filled gardens. There is a well-equipped conference room with wireless Internet access point for business travellers, whilst leisure guests are provided with a games room, TV lounge and a variety of services. Guests can wine and dine in the bar and restaurant or give themselves over to relaxation at the SPA. An outdoor pool and various land and water sports are available for active recreation.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a lovely stay at this amazing art hotel. The bungalow situated at the waters edge was beautifully decorated with a relaxing and homely feel. We visited all the restaurants and both the service and the food was otherwordly. The knowledge about food and wine was exceptional and I was recomeneded potentially the best wine I ever had in my life there. It is a beautfil spot for a calm and relaxing getaway and even thoe it was fully booked it felt calm, relaxing and not crowded.
Absolutely incredible room with the most breathtaking view. Everything was beautifully designed, elegant and so thoughtfully prepared. The lovely welcome and the upgrade made the experience even more special. Truly unforgettable — thank you for making our stay so amazing!
The grounds are outstanding, absolutely stunning. The food is outstanding. The staff is attentive. However, the rooms we stayed in, beach side bungalows, were substandard. The poor room design and lack of amenities hampered our experience. My chief complaints are the following:
Cement floors-no padded rugs; Unable to open suitcase because built in space for luggage only allows for carryon size; Very little vanity space in the bathroom because an oversized sink takes all usable counter-space. All bathroom items have to be stored on shelving in luggage area; Towels are in sink area while shower is in the back of the bathroom; No seating to entertain or play cards in the small living area; Air conditioning is less than adequate; Toilet paper is awful; and No Comcast available.
Madly in love with this place 💙 We usually never go the same hotel twice but this one is worth breaking the rule. There is no place like Minos Beach Art and it’s perfection in every way: the staff is soooo kind and attentive, nothing is too much. The overall experience is beyond great, the ocean views are incredible, the hotel itself is stunning and the food: omg 👌🏻. Big shoutout to the pastry chef and make sure you book a table at Bouillabaisse, one of their amazing restaurants with another AMAZING view!
Minos offers a very calm and inspiring atmosphere. The sunbeds next to the crystal clear ocean are divine and I love love LOVE that little spot 🥹🤍 Our room was beautiful and very clean, we love the turndown service at night.
My camera roll and Instagram are full and so are our hearts. I can’t wait to come back here, making it an annual thing🎉 💙 Thank you dear Maria, Konstantinos and all others to take such good care of us💙
The staff, the hotel, the rooms, the art, the location, the grounds, the services, the amenities, the activities and the overall atmosphere…all are simply amazing!
