Koni Village

Honest Review We have just returned from a week here. Was dreading it after reading negative reviews. We arrived late,in the rain and a power cut, dropped our bags and headed to the bar. Paid drinks only, but Micheal was fantastic we had free drinks lots of apologies and had a laugh. Our opinion on the food which was the part I was most dreading! Food was lovely not lots of choice but plenty for everyone, greek dishes, fish, grilled meats,salads, potatoes ,rice,pasta,chips. And yes there was no toaster which wasn't the end of the world. Weather was not the best but it didn't spoil our stay. Our room was 702 ideally situated not far from restaurant or ber. I had emailed ahead asking for a lower room and a kettle to be put in my room. It was clean comfortable beds and shower was superb. We walked down into stalis most nights after food. Took about 10/15 mins. Overall we had a great stay. Don't let negative reviews put you off. The only bad part is the hill upto the hotel. Enjoy your holiday.

My husband and I have Just come back from a week at koni village. We couldn’t fault the staff, the hotel is on a deep slope and I couldn’t climb that steep hill every day, so I requested a lower room, and they gave me a low room. We were all inclusive but we like a coffee in the morning and evening so I asked at reception if I could hire a kettle. The next day a kettle was in our room. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and were cleaned regularly. The communal areas were always spotlessly clean. The pool was always clean and we saw a guy taking samples and checking the water every day. It’s a bit of a walk down to beach road via the underpass but we didn’t mind the walk. The only thing that let it down was the food … there was always plenty of options but sadly it was always either cold or Luke warm. Even when we were first in the restaurant the food was never hot. We managed toast in a morning and salad at lunch but we ate out every evening. Other than the food the hotel is really good.

Jut returned from a week at Koni village and I was pleasantly surprised. The whole place is really clean and the staff very helpful, the barman at night is such a lovely guy. I requested a room lower floor and to be honest it was the lowest you could get, room 101. Open the door straight on to the pool at the bottom, perfect! Now for the food - after reading reviews I was dreading it but you know what - it wasnt that bad. yes sometimes it was repetitive but we always found something to eat. Would I eat there for every meal - no! there are plenty of restaurants close by that you have to try just to mix things up abit. There was a toaster at breakfast and sprouts made an appearance a few times. Drinks - I think I have to agree with most people on this one, they are watered down. I had a vodka and I could hardly taste it. We walked into Stalis at night and to be fair this could also be said for some of the bars in the village. I'd definitely come back if it was a cheap last minute deal like I had this time. The hill is definitely something to consider if you have walking difficulties.
