The Filion Suites Resort and Spa is a tranquil traditionally styled property offering excellent accommodation on a 17 acre plot surrounded by olive trees close to the village of Bali (2 km). Bali itself has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a small, well protected bay that is excellent for swimming and water sports and with a complimentary shuttle bus service 7 times from 09.00am to 18.00 pm daily to the beach, guests can get there with ease. The taste of a cocktail or a snack next to the sea breeze is a memorable experience. The friendly water sports staff, will welcome the guests for a trip around the bay on a water-ski or fun-ride or take it easy in a canoe or pedalo with local charge. Private yachts, motorboats and catamarans are available for rent and sail, too. Tours/excursions service, wake up service , ironing service and a luggage storage is available. There are plenty of facilities for everyone at the Filion Suites including three renovated large outdoor swimming pools, two outdoor children's pools, tennis court / basketball ground / table tennis, a kids play area, an indoor playroom and a conference hall. The spacious fully renovated outside area with private terraces overlooking the beautiful gardens provide stunning views of the majestic Cretan landscape. Guests will also find an internet corner and those with their own computer can enjoy FREE Wi-Fi connection ALL around the Resort. The hotel offers also currency facilities to change on-site and the reception stuff will advise you how to visit the famous Cretan sightseeing. Every Thursday noon a cooking lesson by creating Greek Specialties is provided free from our kitchen Chef. Filion Suites Hidden Gem
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing hotel with incredible views and fantastic staff!
We had such a great stay here. One of the first things you notice is the incredible views of the mountains and the sunsets, absolutely beautiful and something we never got bored of.
The staff throughout the whole hotel were fantastic, especially the bar staff who were always friendly, welcoming and made the experience even better. The reception team were also brilliant and always did everything they could to help and make sure guests were happy.
The food was awesome with so much variety every day. Some of my favourites were the rabbit, beef and lamb dishes. Breakfast was also great, especially the fresh omelettes and pancakes.
The entertainment was really enjoyable. One night in particular stood out with George Rasoulis performing Popular Rock Acoustic. It was such a professional, excellent show and a real highlight of the holiday.
Our room was always clean and well looked after. The cleaner came every day, tidied everything, topped up the water and replaced toiletries whenever needed.
There’s also a small shop on site which is extremely convenient. It has pretty much everything you need including cold drinks, cigarettes, clothes, towels, snacks, sun cream and plenty more. The prices were also very reasonable and didn’t feel like typical expensive hotel prices.
The free shuttle service to Bali Beach was great. They usually had around three shuttles available for each time slot, so getting down to the beach was easy. A couple of times we took a taxi to Baboo Beach Club which became our favourite spot to eat, drink and swim.
The pools around the hotel were all lovely, refreshing and kept very clean. There were also plenty of sunbeds available which made relaxing easy.
The hotel is built into the hillside so there are quite a few stairs and walking involved, but there is a lift from floors 1–5 which we used a lot and it really helped.
Another thing that really impressed me was the WiFi. It was included, reached every part of the complex and was honestly the best internet connection I’ve ever had at a hotel.
Overall we had an amazing stay. Beautiful location, great food, brilliant staff, clean rooms and everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Would definitely recommend! Such value for your money!

Best all inclusive hotel/resort in crete
Its a beautiful hotel inside of a valley, one of the best panoramas i have seen in a hotel. Very friendly staff, great food and drinks. The bus to the beach is really great. It goes non stop in peak times. Very comfortable rooms, i really recommend to stay here
Not 5 star
We recently stayed at filion expecting a 5-star luxury experience, but unfortunately it felt much closer to a 3-star hotel.
The views are absolutely stunning, and the walk down to the beach is lovely if you're comfortable with steep hills. If not, the complimentary shuttle into Bali and to the nearby beach is very useful.
The room itself was clean, but finding bugs in both the sink and the bath was disappointing and not what you'd expect from a hotel claiming to be 5-star. The pool areas looked nice, but on several occasions we found plastic cups and wrappers floating in the pools even after they had supposedly been cleaned.
The food was one of the biggest letdowns. The selection was basic, lacked variety, and often felt repetitive. It frequently appeared that food from previous meal services was simply reused later in the day. We regularly noticed the same dishes from breakfast appearing again at lunch, and items from lunch reappearing at dinner, often looking as though they had just been left sitting out or reheated rather than freshly prepared.
On the third day of our holiday, I ate a salad from the snack bar that tasted strongly of washing-up liquid. Shortly afterwards, I became extremely ill and spent several days of our holiday feeling unwell. While I can't say for certain what caused my illness, the timing was concerning, and the uncovered food at the snack bar did little to inspire confidence. Much of the fruit, salads and cakes were left uncovered for long periods, which isn't what you'd expect from a hotel advertising itself as 5-star.
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but there were a few disappointing interactions. At 11pm, when the main bar closes, the barman rather abruptly tells guests to leave, which isn't the level of service you'd expect. We also enjoyed the evening entertainment, but one of the live performers approached us after their set to tell us we weren't allowed to chat amongst our friends while they were performing, which felt unnecessary and made for an uncomfortable atmosphere.
The hotel's private beach gets extremely crowded, although there is a beautiful cove nearby with a much nicer atmosphere if you're willing to pay for sunbeds.
Overall, there are some positives, particularly the scenery, the entertainment, and the shuttle service. However, these don't make up for the issues with cleanliness, food quality, and the overall level of service. If you're booking this hotel expecting a genuine 5-star luxury holiday, you may be disappointed. In our opinion, it's much closer to a 3-star experience.
