Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
very nice and warm environment. The staff is very nice here and the hotel is very nice.
Relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff in hotel ,especially bar man Alexander made us the most delicious drinks 🍸 and made us laugh so much that we would like return back again
Do not be fooled into thinking you booked a 5 star hotel. At the time I found this hotel (booked about 6 months in advance) it seemed like a bargain, good price ,location , amenities, a 5 star. We were looking very much forward to have a special holiday. Special it was not, rather a very mediocre experience in all that it offered. Food was ok, I could find something to my taste every meal (which cannot be said by rest of the family), in any case a buffed food offer is not a 5 star, isn't it. The room was fine for 3 people, but again not special, and not fit proper for a 1.85 m lad. Amenities - it is called spa hotel, TBH I haven't seen anyone using the spa during our stay, and certainly was not appealing after seeing it with the attendant. Pools ok, if your idea of beach holiday is to stay by pool all time. Location, it left to desire we haven't booked close to the beach, if we didn't hire a car we would had struggle commuting to the beach each time. Have to admit, in the evening the mountains/hills silhouette provided a beautiful backdrop. The artistic programme in the evening was provided by visiting artists each day. Some good at entertaining , some not so much. It looked like the hotel was not interested whatsoever on what is going on in the evening, no one in charge of entertainment, no excitement , announcement what programme to expect, etc. The staff was friendly enough, but I could not escape the feeling once they lost hope for being tipped, they get desintedested, can't blame for this. All in all , the experience would have been good if we booked a 3* hotel, borderline acceptble of it was 4*, but there is no justification to pay for a 5*, and have the standard we had . I would not recommend to anyone looking to for staying in a high end hotel, just plainly it is not.
We were really happy for amazing of the staff and the comfort of all areas . We enjoyed all the time the food and the drinks . All the pools are clean and well equipped.
As others have said, definitely NOT a 5 star hotel. Our room wasn’t ready on arrival around 4pm, Had to wait for an hour and a half only for the room still not to be ready and moved to a ‘better’ room despite being under the impression we had paid for that anyway. Room was never really cleaned properly in 9 days and had to go to reception to request more toilet paper! Water in fridge never replenished either Kettle and cups in rooms but no tea/coffee provided. Restaurant and Bar staff were very pleasant and helpful but food very limited and not too great to be honest. Coffee at breakfast was absolutely awful and undrinkable. There were plenty of subbeds although we were there just before the summer holidays started, but many were broken and uncomfortable. Top pool was nice but quite dirty by the end of the week. Day of check out as we were gathering last bits and pieces, house keeping wanted to come into the room at 0930 despite not having been in until 3pm for rest of the week and arguement at reception as they hadn’t made us sign for our towels or safe key so were not going to reimburse our deposit-how else would we have the items if we hadn’t paid the deposit originally! Only saving grace is we hired a car from Bali, very reasonable and nice to get away from the hotel. There is a shuttle bus into town but only used once as had a car after that.
Entertainment in the evening was ok, similar singers most evenings.
Crete is lovely, and so glad we were able to get out and about, I would return but definitely not to this hotel!
