Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed at Bali Diamond Hotel for four nights with two other groups of friends, drawn in by its adults-only policy. The location was lovely—right on the beachfront—but the beach had a large inflatable assault course for kids, which didn’t match the adult-only vibe. Luckily, a quieter and nicer beach was just a short drive away.
The room was okay, but we had repeated issues with the electricity tripping, and the air conditioning was underwhelming—it never felt as cool as the set temperature, especially compared to other hotels we stayed in. The extractor fan in the bathroom was blocked with dust and didn’t function at all, so we had to leave the bathroom door open constantly. Linen changes only every three days also felt below par for this standard of hotel.
Breakfast was very basic, but fine if you’re not a big breakfast eater—I just had a couple of espressos each morning. The bar was decent, although it was odd to see children running around in the evenings despite the hotel being advertised as adults-only—possibly relatives of staff.
We went there 14th to 21st Oct 2025 , lovely hotel and staff but built on a hill which is ok if the lifts work as it’s like a maze with flights of steps to everywhere and some rooms don’t have lifts to them so you have to carry your very heavy cases to get there , lift out of action on arrival with promise of it’s going to be fixed , never fixed , lovely rooms and views , very clean but the breakfast is disgusting , cooked before 8 then laid out in the back of the bar , 8 to 10 so if you arrive at 10 you will be eating fried eggs etc that have sat on UNCOVERED food warmers for over 2 hours , nothing is cooked fresh for you , never known this before , do they think this is how we eat at home ! We personally like a cooked breakfast so we stuck to jam on toast , plenty of fruit and yoghurts etc , lovely location but woukd choose another hotel if we went back
We enjoyed a wonderful week at Bali Diamond. We checked in later due to our flight arrival time. Staff could not have been more helpful, changing our rooms slightly so that we had a twin room for me and my Mum just next to the double room my aunty had. Lift access up to our room level. Rooms were spacious and well equipped with fridge, kettle, tea, coffee and sugar plus glasses, mugs and plates (with cutlery!) so we could have snacks (baklava) on our terraces. The bathroom was great, a lovely rainfall shower, with soap and small shampoo/body wash bottles. Nice to have bathrobes and slippers! Beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was cleaned and beds made every day, and bedding and towels changed mid week. Breakfast was a feast with many options including continental with cold meat and cheese, delicious Greek yogurt, and fresh fruit. There was fresh bread and pastries available with various toppings, also cereal. There was a fantastic choice of different hot foods, juices and different teas and coffees. Many thanks to the lovely lady who was taking care of everything. The terrace was set with tables and chairs, and had lovely views across the pool to the sea and mountains. We needed a taxi one day, and that was arranged for us. The beach is right opposite the hotel with sun loungers available to hire. The beach is beautiful, a sheltered sandy bay with great snorkelling at one end. Galini taverna, right next door, was a real bonus. All in all it was a fabulous place to relax and provided a base to explore. 100% would stay there again.
We stayed here for ten nights at the start of May 26 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Situated in a small picturesque bay, with another two bays ten minutes walk in either direction. There are three or four restraunts dotted arround this bay and further places to eat in the other bays. Early season meant it was very quiet and peaceful, just as we like it. Hotel was spotless, room cleaned every day. Unlike other mediteranean hotels we have stayed in, where the electrician has done the tileing and plumbing and the plumber has done the electrics, the finish in the rooms and guest areas was all finished properly to a good standard. Comfortable bed, good shower, cheerful pleasant staff and brilliant views just ten meters from the beach. The hotel is nescled into a hill and as such the layout is quirky and involves a few stairs but no was problem for my wife and I, both well into our seventies and yes there are lifts on most floors but not one single lift from bottom to top. I liked the layout, as sunbeds on each level were only a few yards from your appartment, so no need for the rush to find a sunbed arround the pool each day. The breakfast is a buffet so will not please everyone, especialy if you expect a full english each morning, in that case, better going next door and order from the menue, don't let it spoil your holiday for the price of a pint. The buffet had lots of variety and as with all buffets of this sort some good some not so, cerials, fruits, cakes, savories, breads, hot dishes, jams/spreads etc, but always something you could enjoy. Before I finish I must give a shout out for "Bali Travel", we went on a couple of trips with them and they were excellent. I recommend the excursion to "Chania" lovely scenic old town with lovely harbourside port
Small but lovely hotel steps from the beach. Modern and airy with lovely well appointed rooms, comfy beds, air con, nice shower, internet tv but wifi for guests can be patchy in the rooms. In room safe free.
Very clean with towels for room and beach / pool changed every third day.
Breakfast is buffet style, don't expect cooked to order but every day was fresh and nice with lots of choices. Served at the pool bar with a lovely view. Evening & daytime snacks can be ordered from the bar but would recommend many of the local tavernas especially Nest in the next bay to the north.
Staff were all friendly and helpful, all very chatty and nice. Be prepared for hills & steps both in the hotel & outside.
Beach is nice for swimming, sunbeds 20euros for the nicer ones close to the edge. Lots of locals using the beach also. Food & drinks service from the hotel to the beach.
Lots of nationalities in the hotel and a range of ages but quiet.
Showers & toilets by pool can be used for later transfers as our room being used that day & checkout 12 noon.
Don't forget there is a 10 euro per day tax for a four star hotel payable at the end of your stay. This is a government tax and not the hotel.
We paid €80 for private transfers from Heraklion. Would recommend doing so as busses struggle to get to reception.
Overall, would happily go back.
