The hotel was absolutely gorgeous! If you love taking photos as much as I do, you will definitely enjoy this place. The beautiful colorful flowers, white buildings, and plenty of palm trees create a perfect, picturesque synthesis.
The housekeeping staff cleaned and tidied up our rooms daily, which we highly appreciated.
As for the food — it was delicious, diverse, and constantly available at different locations. They truly focus on taste and high quality. 10/10!
Dinner at the Thalassa restaurant was a wonderful experience, thanks to the incredibly welcoming, attentive, and caring team. A special thanks goes to Mohana, who made our stay even more pleasant with her friendly, attentive, and always smiling personality. The other members of the Thalassa team, the main restaurant staff, and the super energetic animation team were also fantastic. All of these wonderful people worked together to create a pleasant and unforgettable atmosphere every single day of our stay. Thank you so much for choosing your staff so carefully!
The only disappointing thing was that we also wanted to have dinner at the Pergola restaurant. Unfortunately, we didn’t book it in the first few days, and when we went to make a reservation closer to our departure, we were told there were no spots left for any of the remaining days. It was a pity because we had to leave without trying their dishes, missing out on another great dinner. So, a quick tip for future guests: make sure to book both restaurants during your first few days!
Thank you, and I wish the best of luck both to the hotel and its future guests!
As someone who always checks reviews of hotels before we book I wanted to leave my honest feedback of this hotel.
From the moment we arrived to today (our last day) we’ve had the most amazing time. If you’re looking for a modern hotel then this isn’t the place for you, whereas some may call it “outdated” I would say it’s beautiful, picturesque, traditional white and blue buildings with bursts of colour from the carefully tended flowers and plants.
Room- We booked a family apartment and it’s great. 2 rooms - one with a large double and the other with 3 single beds and even had a panoramic sea view which we weren’t expecting!
Food- I read another review which slated the food but I have to disagree. We’ve stayed at other hotels which offered more choices overall but their food was bland and extremely repetitive and cooked en masse. All the food we’ve had here has been fresh and tasty. At dinner there is always a fresh fish and a fresh meat being prepared and at least 2 different pasta dishes cooked infront of you by the chef. Then the other side is dishes from the theme (Asian night / Mexican night / Greek night etc) the Mexican night was my favourite! My other half is very fussy and has always found something to eat and when we mentioned he doesn’t eat cheese the chef personally cooked him adaptations. For children there is a dedicated children’s food area complete with small tables and chairs and a tv showing peppa / Mickey Mouse etc Lunch - there is a snack bar with the best gyros and grilled vegetables which are delicious!
Also the pizza and crepe corner which are both available most of the day are kept very busy!
Drinks- a brilliant selection at a variety of bars, delicious cocktails (Hugo spritz and woo woo to name 2) and great soft drinks too (pink lemonade and lemon slushies - highly recommend!)
Staff- they’re all brilliant. Poppy at the pool bar is brilliant and works so hard endlessly serving up drinks! The restaurant team are fantastic, nothing is too much. 2 members in particular see my daughter coming and get her fresh pizza every dinner. The 2 ladies at kids club- Katrina and Mimi are wonderful and have made the holiday very special for my daughter who is 6. The reception team are also brilliant and help with anything you might need.
Shop- it’s refreshing to have an onsite shop that doesn’t blow the bank, and they have everything you might need, there is also a spar a short walk outside the hotel.
Entertainment- such a hardworking team, so much energy and enthusiasm. If you want to join in great, if you don’t they leave you alone. 8.30pm every evening there is a mini disco which the children love. There is always live music up in the top bar and an evening entertainment in the amphitheater, one night a week (Thurs) is a pool party with fireworks which can obviously be noisy but my 2 year old slept through both nights with white noise.
Cleanliness- everything is spotless.
Sun beds- no sunbed wars that Iv seen. We’ve always managed to get a bed.
Area- although there isn’t anything on the doorstep you can get on the little train to take you to the old town / port which we did one day. It picks up and drops off from the hotel.
We’ve stayed at various places in Greece and I would highly recommend this hotel. We’ve had a brilliant stay and will be sad to leave tomorrow!
The food was delicious, extremely fresh and tasty. The service was excellent - thank you very much ☺️
Lovely authentic hotel restaurant could do with updating
Positives first- Great looking apartment village, typical white washed design, simple clean and tidy rooms, lots of family friendly pools, right on beach! Staff were really attentive, we loved the creps and pizza constantly available.
Negatives- we had some problems with our room initially so our review may be slightly bias unfortunately so dropping a star. However it is quite a remote location, fine if you don't want to leave the resort, but we did. Everyone takes the sunloungers with towels early even though they state you shouldn't do it! We ended up having a confrontation with a french family over it, it was quite intimidating. The buffet food in our opinion was quite basic, no greek options! ( Try the other a la cartes as much better) We felt it wasn't really a 4 star, in the UK I would have put this as a 3 star.
We personally would not return but recommend the beautiful 'palace' selection Laguna next door instead! That was amazing and we were given a free upgrade by the wonderful concierge staff as apology over our room issues... So it all ended up being a great outcome.
