My family of four chose Lyttos Mare this summer and we think it is quite possibly our best summer holiday ever. The hotel told us after we had booked that they had introduced a no under 12 policy, which was okay for us and actually made our holiday more peaceful. On most days we had access to one of the pools all by ourselves. The food was generally very good and the staff mixed very good cocktails. The beach bar chap was generous with his measures which made one afternoon quite eventful! The beach was lovely, even though it was windy on a couple of days.
Loungers were reserved in the mornings and it is quite sad to witness some people claiming loungers by the pool and yet not turning up for hours. But, there are plenty of them and we always found space for us four.
The hotel entertainment staff were brilliant, especially the young man who dressed up whilst taking aqua gym - very funny and friendly.
Just a couple of minor points, the family room was very nice, but having a slight opaque window between the family bathroom and the bedroom was a bit odd.
My daughter was regularly woken up by a delivery lorry below her bedroom from 5 am in the morning, so maybe that could be looked at.
Otherwise, fantastic hotel, worth every penny.
I went to the spa and I really enjoyed the massage. It was very relaxing, and my therapist afroditi was very professional and attentive. I felt much more relaxed afterward, especially in my neck and shoulders. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it!
I visited the spa and had a wonderful massage with Jessie. She was kind, professional, and attentive, and made the whole experience so relaxing. I left feeling refreshed and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend Jessie!
It was perfect Afroditi was amazing!!! It was the best massage I have ever had π©·π©·π©·
The location is very good, half an hour drive from Heraklion Airport, near the village of Anissaras and the city of Hersonissos. The location of the resort is truly remarkable because you can see both the sunrise and sunset in the sea! This resort has everything you need to feel good. The beach is large, with fine sand and a smooth entrance to the sea. Sun loungers for everyone. The beach is cleaned daily. We stayed in a double room with a sea/pool view. It was a fairly spacious room, well equipped (including a table and iron). Cleaning is done daily. The main restaurant is very spacious, including an outdoor terrace. Plenty of food for almost all tastes, good quality, very well cooked. Towards the beach there is a smaller restaurant, the so-called Thymari Greek Taverna, where you can have lunch and dinner. It was our favorite, because it had a charcoal grill where they prepared some special delicacies! No reservation is needed. Also worth noting is the Argentinian Steak House a la carte Restaurant. Reservations are required here. We went one evening and it was really classy! Stylish dishes, appropriate wines, ambiance, etc... And the bars are beautiful, open from morning to evening, with a wide range of drinks and small snacks. The resort staff is dedicated to their work and does everything necessary to make the guests feel good. In conclusion, Lyttos Mare is a resort that we really liked. When we return to Crete, we will choose Lyttos Mare again.
