The excellent beach hotel Stella Village enjoys a privileged location in Analipsi, only 10 metres away from a private sandy beach. The renowned holiday resort of Hersonissos can be reached within a 10-minute drive. Heraklion, the island's capital where most of the museums as well as an international airport can be found, is just a 20-minute drive away. The hotel provides quick access to highways. The family-friendly hotel offers a range of accommodation types, from rooms to apartments and bungalows. They are bathed in natural light, airy and spacious, and features include air-conditioning, fridge and lateral sea, mountain or garden views. Children will love the mini-club, playground and the 3 children's pools. There are 2 large swimming pools for adults, internet corner and WIFI in the main building, sports facilities as well as two fantastic restaurants and two poolside bars. A wonderful hotel for a family holiday under the Greek sun.

Clean with great pools, but let down by the food and all-inclusive rules
We stayed at Stella Village in July, and unfortunately, we wouldn't go back. While the resort itself has some great qualities, the dining and service quirks really let it down.
The Positives: The resort and hotel grounds are beautiful and kept spotlessly clean. We never struggled to get a sunbed in the mornings, and the main pools were quiet and relaxing, which was a huge bonus. The daytime entertainment and activities were good, and the water park was a lot of fun—though it gets very busy, as it’s the only place with a snack bar serving proper food. Overall, the staff were very friendly.
The Negatives: The food was easily the worst part of our stay. Despite having two restaurants, they serve basically the same selection, and surprisingly, there is no dedicated kids' buffet. The all-inclusive drinks package was also frustrating. It strictly runs from 10 am to 11 pm (you have to pay after that), and drinks are served in annoyingly small glasses. Getting a drink in the restaurant took a very long time, and if you tried to go up to the bar to order one yourself, the staff were not very accommodating. We booked an upgraded room, but our mini-fridge was completely ignored. We didn’t receive a single bottle of water until the last two days of our trip, when they suddenly dropped off seven bottles each day. The nighttime entertainment also left a lot to be desired. Finally, keep in mind that the handful of shops on the beachfront are highly overpriced. You are much better off taking the 15-minute drive into town. Overall, it's a nice-looking resort, but the food and awkward service mean we won't be returning.
The Best Family Holiday We’ve Ever Had
I cannot fully express how incredibly impressed we have been with our stay at Stella Village. This has honestly been the best family resort holiday we have ever experienced.
The resort is immaculate, the food has been outstanding with exceptional quality and an incredible variety, and every member of staff has been professional, courteous, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The daytime activities are fantastic, and the evening entertainment is of an exceptionally high standard. From the kids’ club and children’s cinema nights to the spectacular nightly shows, there is always something enjoyable for everyone in the family.
The biggest highlight of our holiday, and the main reason we chose Stella Village, was the incredible water park. Simply put, it is amazing! We spent most of our days switching between the water park and the resort pools, and every one of us had an absolute blast.
The water park has genuinely thought of everything. There are dedicated areas for babies, toddlers, older children, teenagers and adults, with three separate slide zones designed for different age groups and thrill levels. Whether your little ones are just starting to enjoy the water or your teenagers are looking for adrenaline-filled slides, there is something for everyone. It meant our family could enjoy the experience together while everyone had attractions perfectly suited to their age.
The water park also has its own spacious swimming pool surrounded by plenty of sun loungers, making it easy to spend an entire day there. The snack bar is exceptionally well stocked and serves everything you could want, from burgers, chips and pizza to delicious local Greek dishes, fresh fruit, ice cream, cakes and refreshing slushies. There is also a fantastic selection of soft drinks, beers and other beverages included, so you never have to leave the water park to enjoy great food and drinks. It truly feels like a resort within a resort.
Another fantastic feature is the private beach, located literally across the road from the resort entrance. With comfortable loungers and its own beach bar, it’s the perfect place to spend a relaxing family day by the sea while enjoying the beautiful views of the Cretan coastline.
Another highlight of our holiday was the professional photography service available on-site. We booked a family photo shoot and were delighted with the experience. The photographer made everyone feel completely at ease, and the photographs are absolutely beautiful. It was such a wonderful way to capture memories that our family will treasure for years to come.
The all inclusive package was exceptional and offered far more than we expected. In addition to the excellent buffet restaurants, there were snack bars available throughout the day serving a great selection of food whenever you fancied a bite to eat. The drinks selection was equally impressive, with a wide range of cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, slushies and soft drinks all included as standard, making the all-inclusive experience feel genuinely premium.
Another fantastic feature of the resort is the two well-stocked on-site shops. Whether you need holiday essentials, baby formula, toiletries, snacks, drinks, inflatables, souvenirs, fridge magnets, photo frames or gifts to bring home, they have it all. We were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was, making it incredibly convenient without feeling overpriced, as is often the case at holiday resorts.
The resort is also just a short taxi ride (approximately €15) from Hersonissos, where you can enjoy a lively shopping area along with a great selection of restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars. Despite its vibrant atmosphere, it is very family friendly, and we always felt completely safe.
We also enjoyed several water sports in Hersonissos, which we booked through the on-site excursion representative. The service was excellent and gave our family the opportunity to experience Crete in such a fun, exciting and memorable way.
Our experience has been so wonderful that we are already hoping to return next year. Stella Village has exceeded every one of our expectations and created memories that our family will cherish forever.
We would wholeheartedly recommend this resort to any family looking for an unforgettable holiday.

Gorgeous holidays
Our 4th holidays with Stella is almost over, luckily to keep the magic going, the next one is already booked. Like always, fantastic holidays with Stella! The place is an oasis with beauuuutiful gardens of flowers, palm, olive and fruits trees. Great value for money - all inclusive package- and even more with their loyalty program. Here you'll find the artists of hospitality you have always hoped for! Everything is designed to make your life easy, smooth and enjoyble. All staff is working hard and with dedication and they are always so kind, so welcoming, so helpful! Special thanks to Ms Eleftheria, Ms Stella, Ms Camille, Ms Vasia, Mr Mike and his assistant. We were again pleasently surprised like every year of the investissement they keep doing. This year, rooms and swinming pools were nicely refurbished and re-designed, a bar was installed at the beach, activities for teenagers introduced, even little houses for cats built. Kids and adults we all have enjoyed the simply fantastic waterparc with its many slids and under the careful eyes of lifeguards, the 6 swiming pools, the safe, sandy and free of charge beach, the very large choice of food and drinks, the endless number of activities. We also appreciate the possibility to get and exchange pool towels and to order drinks from our seat at the pools.

Great holiday
We stayed at stella village for a week it was a really good holiday. The beach out side is very good for snorkeling. All the staff are very friendly one staff named jeric is extremely nice and he was at the water park bar. The atmosphere was great with great entertainment for all ages. The rooms are nicely sized with nice views of the pool. It's great value for money and definitely worth picking other others. The rooms and area is constantly being cleaned and very tidy. There is nothing dirty about the place
A few tweaks would make this place perfect
Family of four with 2 boys (15 & 12). Stayed in superior room. Block 400-404. 14 nights from late June. Room was a great location in the complex. Room was ideal. Quirky separate shower and toilet set up, shower door is directly into the main bedroom area. Issue with leaking during use - using a towel at the bottom to force the door more into the shower tray limits the leaks into the room. IMPROVEMENT - slight angle to shower edge to prevent leaking into bedroom when in use.
Shower has shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. Handwash and hand cream provided next to sink. IMPROVEMENT- onsite shop start to sell the shower gel/ Handwash/ lotion in the rooms.
Plenty storage for clothes for 2 people and the empty cases. Plenty of power sockets and USB ports. Travel adapter plug sockets affect bedside light switches - best to use the sockets at the dressing table worktops.
Very welcoming and informative check in. First time visitors, treated like friends from day 1. 2am arrival at resort. Lovely cold plates (pasta, sandwiches, fruit) water and soft drinks in the room fridge for us. No bottle opener for the metal bottle tops provided in superior room.
Kettle with tea/ coffee / sugar/ creamer in room. No teaspoons provided in superior room.
Air conditioning easy to use - make sure sliding door and room windows are fully closed. Room safe worked as soon as we entered the room. Any issue may require safe reset by front desk (only available during the day).
Food - the food available at Stella Village was excellent. We have stayed at many all inclusive 4 and 5 star resorts. Stella is on par with 5 star places we have stayed in Tenerife. Smaller trays of well cooked food, not huge catering platters. Food was checked and replaced frequently. Salt and pepper on all tables to adjust seasoning to your own tastes. Stand outs - breakfast - omelettes, waffles, grilled veg, fresh fruit and Greek yogurt options. Lunch - pizzas/ pasta, salad offerings, gyros. Dinner - soups, roast meat and fish, side veg, dessert options. The staff in the restaurants are all friendly and work extremely hard.
Poolside bar - staff are really good fun, work extremely hard.
Pools - pool set up is organised. We tended to stay around the animation pool, where the aqua gym was held. IMPROVEMENT- if sunbeds were allocated to rooms it would prevent frustration from people who like a longer sleep on holidays.
À la carte restaurant- we had an issue with the food during our first week booking therefore cancel our second week booking for the à la carte. If staff here had dealt with this better, we may have kept our second booking. This was the only downside of our stay.
Waterpark - from our experience the staff kept strict but polite adherence to height restrictions. The set up is fantastic. The food at the water park is varied. More snack bar than restaurant style but all cooked well, can be personalised to remove items from burgers or gyros.
Animation team - the team are great but not pushy. Activities are ongoing from mid morning. Our boys loved the football (arranged for late afternoon). They met good friends from different countries.
Ice cream hut - the ladies in this hut provide our sweet treats from mid morning. Ice cream, pancakes, waffles, small selection of wraps, sandwiches, cakes. This was one of our favourite places to visit after lunch.
Cleaners - if do not disturb is selected, fresh towels and water are left outside room. If please clean room is selected, room is cleaned.
Onsite shop - the shop stocks most things you would need. Larger market outside complex and others a short walk into town.
Late check out is difficult in summer. We booked shower room. Room is extremely hot, no air conditioning. If there is an option, ask for the shower room access outside reception, not the shower in reception.
The staff throughout the resort work extremely hard and really made our holiday.
We had a fabulous holiday and have booked to return.
