Big place good for children
The good points This hotel is huge, the water park for children is amazing and the other pools are much quieter if you can drag them away. Plenty of sun beds everywhere and you cannot reserve them so the morning panic didn’t exist at this hotel. The hotel is spotless, lots of staff around who are approachable, we did find reception the most unhelpful but the day staff who are also the evening entertainment staff were really knowledgable. The kids loved the shows and the bingo and the evening was made perfect by the large queues for cocktails moving really quickly. They were amazing and included non alcoholic ones for the children. Seriously this hotel catered for just about everything. But Crete has always been a good place to go for a holiday and worth the 4 hour flight even with 6 and 7 year old boys. We had the garden view superior family suite. Which was incredible and cleaned everyday. Again spotless. It had its own separate screened bedroom for the boys but by the time we all went to bed after such a full day we didn’t need to separate the room as we slept like kings in those comfortable beds. The not so good bit; The food for meat eaters is great in all the restaurants but we are vegetarian and that was really poor. There is only so many times I can eat spaghetti and salads the choice was so limiting. Breakfast was good but had a choice of every sausage imaginable except a veggy one. I did ask and was just told no. I was really glad it was only for a week but just to say my meat eating family were impressed with thier choices. I should have realised as when we arrived the food on offer In the veggy section was pasta in cream sauce and Brussels sprouts. Football: we came here for the football training but I he coach said that he had to have more than 2 boys attend the session and just gave us a ball. Now that was the really disappointing part as I had specifically booked this as a football academy hotel. The boys however played a couple of games on their own and went back to the water park. Just be aware of this on booking. Would I recommend this hotel, yes,just take supplies if your veggy and do t expect the football to be happening.

3 star for cleanliness
We got back from this hotel on Friday morning and for cleanliness I would only give it a 3 star as we got to the hotel late at night and our room wasn't cleaned properly , the bathroom was dirty and I had to wipe down the sides in the room before putting our stuff out. One of the days the cleaner wiped our bathroom sink with a towel from the floor and glasses in the eating areas were mostly not cleaned properly as each one I picked up it had marks on it. Found some of the reception staff to be quite rude aswell.
On a more positive note we would totally give 5 star for the animation team who were absoloulty fantastic with our teenagers and really made their holiday brilliant. Best animation team at any hotel I have been at. Big shout out for Hamid, Mike, Romeo, Andreas, Jenny, Jenna, Gerda and Lucky. You guys are fab !
