The hotel enjoys an ideal location, set in extensive grounds between the blue sea and the fertile hills, in the settlement of Ormos in the northern part of the city. It faces a pleasant bay, offering guests a spectacular view of Aghios Nikolaos, with easy access to the beach, shops and taverns. It lies only 10-15 minutes' walk from the city centre and only some 200 m from the nearest bus stop. The Knossos Minoan Palace, Lassithi Plateau and the Heraklion Archaeological Museum are all some 70 km away. It is also 70 km to Heraklion Airport
This air-conditioned beach apartment hotel features a 24-hour reception and 24-hour check-in/check out service, a hotel safe and a currency exchange facility, a TV room, a breakfast room and car parking facilities. The 2-storey buildings are set at a distance of approximately 30 m from each other and comprise a total of 85 rooms. Access to rooms on the ground floor is via 4-5 steps. Rooms on the 1st floor may be reached by stairs only as there is no lift access.
The spacious rooms are tastefully designed in local style, and most come with built-in beds, whereas some have bedsteads. The twin-bedded rooms are on one double built-in base with two separate mattresses and are made up as two separate beds. All rooms feature a private bathroom with a shower or bathtub and a toilet. The rooms are also equipped with a telephone, a hairdryer, a radio, a mini fridge, a safe (extra charge payable on-site), air conditioning (extra charge payable on-site) and a balcony or a veranda with a view of the sea, garden, mountain or swimming pool.
The hotel features an outdoor freshwater swimming pool with parasols and a poolside snackbar. Hersonissos Golf Course is only a 30-minute drive away.
Guests may select their breakfast from a lavish buffet.

Fabulous!
Our second visit in two years. I also visited what was the hotel Crystal, the building next door, back in 1990, I didn't realise the link before visiting in 2025. Well worth paying extra for the sea view superior room; something we left too late to arrange last year. Shawn greeted us at reception, and given he was relatively new, he was utterly charming and knowledgeable. He gave us a lovely refreshing welcome drink and helped us with our cases. A lovely handwritten note was left for us along with a fruit basket and a bottle of wine in the room. Eirini on reception was as lovely and helpful as last year and helped us arrange the hiring of a scooter again. She was also really helpful arranging access to a room on our last day given our evening pick up, something they offer when availability allows. The manager Nikkos made a point of saying hello and ensured a further warm welcome. All the staff we encountered were absolutely wonderful. So so friendly. House keeping were masterful at towel folding/arranging! For a mid price hotel, the hotel, facilities and staff are fantastic and we'll definitely be back. Thank you to everyone who made our short break memorable again.

This hotel is amazing staff all very willing to make your stay a happy one it’s like one happy family it’s very clean maids change your towels and bedding every day top your fridge up With water and milk & coffee If your not very good walking you will have to jump taxi €8 as it is 30 minutes walk into the town , would well recommend this hotel
Excellent Experience!
The hotel was fantastic! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Great location a little way out of the town and a lovely relaxing environment! The rooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained! Would definitely recommend for a trip!
Exceptional Service That Feels Like Home
We had an amazing experience at this hotel, and I especially want to mention Dimitris and Nikos, who provided truly exceptional service throughout our stay.
From the moment we arrived for a very late check-in around midnight, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Even though there was no food available at that hour, they genuinely tried to find a solution and make sure we were taken care of.
Throughout our stay, whenever there were any logistical issues or unexpected situations, they were always there to help, find solutions, and make things right. They were extremely considerate, attentive, and generous, and we really appreciated the way they handled everything.
What stood out the most was the personal and genuine way they treated us. You don’t feel like you are simply dealing with hotel employees — you genuinely feel like you are being welcomed and taken care of by friends. Their kindness, warmth, and willingness to do that little bit extra made a huge difference to our experience.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Come, stay here, and enjoy an amazing experience that genuinely makes you feel good. A huge thank you to Dimitris and Nikos for making our stay so special!
An unforgettable experience: We were welcomed like family!
My daughter and I spent 4 magical days at the Vasia Ormos Hotel, and it is impossible to leave without expressing our deepest gratitude to the entire team. The staff possesses an unlimited amount of kindness and availability. Since we were traveling together, they constantly went out of their way to give us the absolute best recommendations for local beaches and restaurants to visit. Maria at the poolside snack bar and Eirene (I hope I am spelling her name correctly) at the front desk were absolutely exceptional. The level of personalized care here is unmatched. And what can I say about the Chef? The moment he learned that I only like salted butter on my toast—and realizing the breakfast buffet only had unsalted butter—he personally prepared salted butter for me every single day and always checked in to see if I needed anything else. Truly an extraordinary gesture! The impeccable cleanliness, flawless organization, inviting room balconies, and the sweet daily touches made this trip deeply memorable. It was so special that leaving was incredibly hard; I couldn't go without giving Eirene a huge hug, and I actually left with tears in my eyes. When you check out of a hotel feeling like you were treated as family, you know you are definitively in the right place. We will absolutely return! Thank you for everything!
