Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I have been staying at the hotel for the past 6 years, and in the last two years, its standards have shown a slight decline.
The rooms are a good size and are decently furnished. Most guests stay only for a few days so 6 coat hangers would not be an issue but for a 2 week holiday, there isn't a great deal of storage space. The fridge is useful as is the kettle.
Although the bathroom is adequate, the shower tends to overflow onto the bathroom floor like in many Greek hotels. There is a blind to pull down but this meant that it was very difficult to manoeuvre in the shower. There was plenty of storage place for the toiletries.
Breakfast is the same every day and is basic. Orange juice is post mix from the machine. It often needed topping up with water as it was too strong. There were frequent empty spaces on the breakfast trays which meant either waiting for them to refilled or choosing from a restricted range. In a country of lots of fresh fruit, the only fruit options were tinned peaches or fresh apples.
The hotel is clean but the room cleaning isn't daily as it has been in the past. Small details are overlooked at times. There was only 1 cup for a 2-person room, twice the much-needed bath mat wasn't replaced when the wet one was taken away, several days the bins weren't emptied, one day we had a couple of towels short. All minor but they added up over 14 nights.
The staff are fantastic especially Monique on reception. Reception seemed to be manned less than previously. As I know the area/hotel, it wasn't a problem.
There seem to have been some cost-cutting measures that have impacted negatively on customer service.
From the moment we entered the hotel until we checked out, we were made to feel very welcome guests. We had a room on the 3rd floor with our own very private balcony , sun loungers and jacuzzi!! It was amazing . The room was beautifully appointed. Simple but pleasing. White and spotless . Had everything we needed. The shower creme and shampoo were baby powder scented ! So lovely. We had a very nice continental breakfast for a very reasonable €7 ! Hotel is perfectly situated . A five min walk to the lake and port. Would def return.
Welcoming greeting. Had a 2 night stay in the Deluxe Double Room with seaview and minipool. The room is spacious and nicely decorated. Large balcony area which had sun loungers, table and chairs plus the minipool. Views are great. Overlooking sports running track and the sea. Wish there was instructions how to use the minipool. The water was a bit too cool. Our fault we could have asked. Great location. We found a sandy beach close by too. Visit Jollies bar a few doors along. Nice little find for a beer and cocktails.
The man at the reception desk was less than friendly when we arrived. The next morning the only thing he said to us was “ card”, meaning our key card for the room. The bathroom was incredibly small. I am 5’6” and had to sit almost sideways on the toilet because the shower stall was so close. The vanity with sink was right at my elbow. There was no glass on the front of the shower stall and the entire bathroom got very wet. If you are a large person using the bathroom could be very difficult if not impossible. The name of the hotel includes the word “harbor”. It is near the harbor, not harbor side. The only view from our room was the back of the surrounding buildings. On the plus side: comfortable bed and adequate breakfast selection. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
Room was dirty and showers is so small you can not bend to get you soap.
It is run down hotel, gym joke. Breakfast basic eggs was allways cold. Pool area was so dirty we only when ones.
Balcony is so small it is a joke
No wifi on our floor for our stay.
