Simply wonderful
So pleased to have been able to return after Covid cancellations to find my favourite place better than ever. A small privately run hotel in a fantastic location close to beautiful beaches and the town centre. It is kept extremely clean with the most comfortable of beds, nice swimming pool and lovely on site restaurant and bar for when you don't fancy a night in town. That said for me it is the staff that make this a stand out place to stay, I use the word staff in it literal term but they are more of a family who make their guest feel part of it. I was welcomed with a smiling face at 2am after a long delay arriving and felt immediately at home. I will not mention individual names as I wouldn't want to miss anyone out, they all know who they are and everyone of them plays their part to the utmost thank you all so much for a wonderful holiday see you all again soon.
Fantastic Hotel
This hotel is an absolute gem. Had a fantastic week staying here at the beginning of June after a postponement of 2 years. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the facilities were everything we needed and the location is just a 2 min walk from the beautiful Almiros beach and a 25 min walk to Agios Nikolaos. but the best thing about this hotel is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Vasoliki, Dina, Maria and Michalis (apologies for the spelling!) in particular were so lovely. The owner Annette was just the best host-Informative and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
Great hotel
Very friendly small hotel very clean and spacious with air conditioning The rooms have a small balcony with table & chairs . Bar restaurant on site with a pool Beach is behind the hotel a short walk. But not suitable for.anyone who has a walking problem as the steps are steep and uneven
Batter than Ever
We reviewed this hotel 6 years ago and this is our fifth visit .. I shouldn’t have to say anything else really. This is of those rare establishments where they genuinely care whether you are having a good holiday. New management has definitely injected a new dynamic into a tried and tested formula. A lovely small hotel. Looked after by loyal staff who know their customers. Fabulous breakfast - eggs cooked to order - I have tried to replicate them at home to no avail- probably because you need the place and the people to go with the breakfast. It’s just a short walk to the wonderful sandy beach of Almiros and a slightly longer walk into the picturesque town of Aghios Nikolaos. The taverna attached to the hotel serves tasty food at reasonable prices- served with a warmth and care which had us returning night after night. A hire car is a good idea if you’re after exploring more of the island and the hotel manager is a mine of information. The Naïades Almiros River Hotel remains a true taste of traditional Cretan hospitality in an increasingly commercialised world. Recommended.

Can't wait to go back!
We went here for my 60th birthday and what a holiday! Giorgos, Klio and Maria are the perfect hosts and the rooms, swimming pool and grounds are relaxing and private. With a traditional Cretan breakfast and fantastic dinner menu, just 20 mintues from Agios Nikolaos and 1 minute from the beach, we had the best time and have booked to go again in September.
