- Mistral Bay Hotel

This hotel enjoys a great location in the delightful surroundings of Agios Nikolaos, in close proximity to the picturesque harbour area. The hotel enjoys ease of access to a host of local attractions, where the essence and intrigue of the area can be uncovered. Guests will be impressed by the charm and elegance that greets them from the moment they step through the doors. The guest rooms are tastefully decorated featuring soothing, natural tones, as well as modern furnishings. The hotel guest rooms provide an ambience of tranquillity and rejuvenation, where guests can experience the utmost in relaxation. The hotel affords guests a number of exemplary facilities, catering to the needs of business and leisure travellers alike
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Mistral Bay Holel is located in the city center, the sandy beach is nearby. The sea and the views are magical, the water is warm. Also close to the hotel are cafes and restaurants, shops. The hotel has clean comfortable rooms, various food. Special thanks to the manager Tanzil for helping to resolve all issues.
I’ve rested in this hotel twice and can sincerely recommend it to friends. It has been renovated this year, so everything is clean and neat. The hotel is located in five-minute walk from popular sights, shops, cafes and beaches. Soft pillows, tasty breakfasts and dinners, friendly and helpful staff, roof bar with tasty cocktails what can be better?) My room with a view of the sea is just breathtaking.
An excellent hotel with a great price-to-quality ratio.
The location is practically on the first line and very close to everything: the city center is only a 5-minute walk away, while the beaches can be reached in approximately 3 and 5 minutes respectively. Restaurants, supermarkets, and the town center are all nearby.
The sea view is absolutely stunning.
Special thanks to the manager, Tanzil, who was incredibly helpful with everything—from hotel-related matters to providing excellent advice on excursions, car rentals, and other local activities.
Breakfast is somewhat repetitive, but the selection is good and sufficient. Dinner, on the other hand, is excellent with no complaints at all. The only minor inconvenience is that when the hotel is fully occupied, the restaurant may not accommodate all guests at once, so I would recommend coming in the middle of the serving hours rather than right at the beginning.
The rooftop features a bar, a jacuzzi, and sun loungers, all with a beautiful view. The hotel pool is relatively small and is more suitable for children, so I would not rely on it as the main swimming option.
The common areas are very clean. Room cleaning is somewhat basic and superficial, but not to a degree that causes any significant concern.
I highly recommend booking a sea-view room from the start—it is definitely worth it.
It is true that the hotel entrance is accessed via stairs, but even with a child and a stroller this was not a major issue, especially considering that the entire town is built on hills with frequent ascents and descents.
This was the first experience of vacationing in Crete: every day was incredible. The hotel is located in the very center of Agios Nikolaos (5 minutes walk to the sea). There is a very nice cafe and many souvenir shops near the hotel. The hotel has been recently renovated, the rooms are small, but very cozy. The hotel also has a swimming pool (on the first floor) and a jacuzzi (on the 8th floor, from where you can enjoy an incredible view of the surroundings and Mirabello Bay). Breakfasts and dinners are delicious (but drinks are added for dinner for an additional fee). All the hotel staff are extremely friendly and smiling. Thank you to the manager Tanzil. He helped with all questions, organized excursions and paid due attention to the guests. We recommend choosing this hotel for a vacation. If in the future we consider a vacation in Crete - we will definitely return to this hotel.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel and are so glad we didn't pay too much attention to some of the previous reviews. It was exactly what we needed.
We upgraded to a sea view room, and we're so pleased we did. The sunrise each morning was spectacular and made the upgrade well worth it. The room was on the smaller side, but it was spotlessly clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
The staff were brilliant throughout our stay—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The food was good, with plenty of choice, and it was regularly replenished, so there was always plenty available.
The only thing to be aware of is that there are quite a few steps leading up to the hotel. If you have mobility issues or find walking difficult, this could be a challenge. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
