Situated on a hill overlooking Mirabello Bay in Agios Nikolaos on the island of Crete, this warm and bright family-friendly hotel is the perfect place to spend a delightful sun-filled holiday. There is a beautiful pebble beach in the immediate vicinity of the hotel and the city centre of Agios Nikolaos is only a short walk away providing shopping and entertainment. Guests can make use of the extensive list of helpful services offered by the hotel's friendly multilingual personnel. Guests may pass the time in the hotel's games room and lounge café bar and breakfast room where a delightful breakfast is served each morning. The hotel has spacious traditionally decorated rooms each with air-conditioning, some with balcony or terrace and home appliances.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This was our second visit to the Miramare and we enjoyed it just as much as the first! The views from the hotel are literally breath-taking!
There is a pebble beach not far from the hotel and a beautiful sandy beach about a 5-10 minute walk away.
The staff are a credit to the hotel - from Manolis and the ladies at the Palm Bar, to the waiting staff in the restaurant (Sophia/Sofia and Alkis - so lovely).
We were All Inclusive and always found something we liked (gyros and chinese night our favourites). However, we did eat and drink out quite a few times at Lake Voulismeni.
One morning we got up to see the sunrise and then took our swimmers and enjoyed a dip just off the pebble beach where all the locals go.
We did a trip on the land train Little Train Tours which we really enjoyed (4 hr trip). Would also recommend a boat trip round Spinalonga although we didn't do it this year.
As everyone mentions the hotel is on a hill so not suitable for those with mobility issues.
One other thing I would mention, unfortunately we were unable to book a 2 bedroomed room so we booked two separate hotel rooms (adjoined by balcony) and tourist tax for 2 weeks for 2 rooms was 280 Euros! We knew it would be around the figure but this needs to be factored in when you go.
Fantastic hotel with excellent facilities and a wonderful atmosphere. The spa was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. A special thank you to Eleni and Smaro, who were incredibly professional and highly skilled massage therapists. Their treatment was deeply relaxing and of exceptional quality. I highly recommend both the hotel and the spa!
This is a lovely spa based in an idyllic location overlooking the mountains and sea. There is a great range of treatments on offer at reasonable rates. From the moment we entered Effi was incredibly welcoming. Also, the back and shoulder massage from Eleni was heavenly! I was left fully relaxed and revitalised. Many thanks
Superb spa with a wide range of treatments at a reasonable rate. Effi was incredibly welcoming from the moment we stepped through the door. Also, the neck and shoulder massage from Eleni was absolutely heavenly! I was left totally relaxed and revitalised. Thank you
Very relaxing with gorgeous quality products and professional service. Everyone was especially friendly and caring.
