Lovely hotel with great views
Just had a fantastic stay at this beautiful hotel. The views from the pool and bar area (and also our room) were exceptional. We were allocated a comfortable, spacious room with an enormous balcony which included a seating area and loungers for all 4 of us. The hotel is very clean and the pool area was wonderful. Very quiet - we never had any issues getting a lounger. As you are high up there was always a lovely breeze which made the high temperatures comfortable. There is a shingle beach immediately in front of the hotel and a 5 minute walk to a sandy beach. The loungers here were very reasonable - 10Euros for 2 loungers plus parasol. The town is about a 15/20 min walk - not the most pleasant walk (unless we missed something), but the area around and close to the lake is lovely with lots of bars and restaurants. There is not much of a supermarket close to the hotel - only one that sells very basic snacks so you need to walk to town for anything more substantial. The staff were lovely - in particular, the lady on reception - I think her name was Elina, went out of her way to help us secure extended accommodation on our last day as we had late transfers. Also the head bar man and all the bar staff were fantastic. A big shout out to the guys that will take you to and from your room in the golf buggies also. As described, this hotel is VERY hilly. We are young and fit, but this was quite a shock on the first day, despite expecting hills. We were at the highest point of the hotel - however a couple of days in we discovered there is a lift around the level of the pool which takes you to reception. We had no issues once we discovered this. Food is as expected for a hotel buffet. We didn't have any issues with choice. The hotel will let you swap your evening meal to lunch if you wish to eat out. Entertainment is on the quiet side, but we were fine with this as we were happy to play games and take in the views. All in all we had a great stay here and we would recommend this hotel.
