This exclusive beach hotel is situated on a private peninsula in Crete, right by the sandy beach and surrounded by beautiful Botanical Gardens. The complex lies within minutes of the picturesque fishing village of Agia Pelagia. There are also many shopping venues as well as countless bars, nightclubs and restaurants in the vicinity. Links to the public transport network lie within easy walking distance. Heraklion, the capital of Crete, is a 20-minute drive from the hotel and the airport is situated approximately 25 km from the hotel (roughly a 20-minute drive). Alternatively, Chania airport is 100 km away and it is 150 km to Sitia airport.
This upscale resort hotel is located on a private peninsula, 20 minutes from the City and the International Airport of Heraklion and next to the traditional fishing village of Aghia Pelaghia. Out Of The Blue Resort & Spa is ideally, centrally situated on the island of Crete, providing easy and quick access to all Ancient Sites for excursions. The property is outstretched over this unique peninsula resembling a Cretan Village and is surrounded by a Botanical Park of 167.000 sq. m. / 1.796.920 sq. ft. with beautiful Aegean views, extensive gardens, green pathways, ponds, cascades, a small river, 2 beaches. The property features 460 rooms, maisonettes, suites and villas, 4 restaurants, 5 bars, two beaches and a unique Minoan Amusement Club for our little friends.
Each of the comfortable, tasteful rooms comes with an en suite bathroom, a king-size bed, a cosy seating area, a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a hire safe, satellite/ cable TV, a radio and a minibar/ fridge. Internet access is also available as well as centrally regulated air conditioning and heating. Each room also features either a balcony or terrace with a panoramic view of the sea and the garden area.

Amazing time
The relaxing massage with Maria was amazing ! She was very attentive. The pressure and movements were perfect, I felt so relaxed after the massage. The facilities are clean and the atmosphere is very calming. I highly recommend !

We really enjoyed our stay and were very happy with our experience.
Although some of the rooms and several common areas could use some renovation, we heard that renovations are already planned, which is great. For us, this did not affect our stay at all. We slept very well, and we really didn’t mind that the floor had some scratches or that the room furniture wasn’t the newest.
Our room was clean and had a beautiful view of the sea, which we absolutely loved. ❤️
The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would especially like to mention the teams at the Beach Bar and Ikaros Bar — they were fantastic and made us feel very welcome!
The surroundings are simply beautiful, with amazing gardens and wonderful plants everywhere.🌿🌺

Food was very repetitive pretty much the same food choices every night for 7 nights and not good for fussy eaters, breakfast had the most choice and good selection but lunch and dinner was not great, if your not a big drinker I would recommend room only and uses the extra money for all inclusive to eat out at the nearby restaurants. Location scenery is lovley and lots of nice nearby beaches however apart from a few bars and restaurants nearby there is nothing else near so if you like to keep busy and sight see then I would recommend finding somewhere closer to chania or heraklion as you are abit stranded here in the middle of nowhere. The resort is lovley but I would say more 4 star as it is needing some tlc and updating wakkimg around things where falling apart and they were just patching things up instead of replacing. The staff were really freindly though and They did however upgrade our room for us to a private pool room however we did not utilise it and the main pool is very small. As the beach the resort is on is so lovley we spent most of our time down there and not even in the resort. Save your money and book a nearby cheaper place with breakfast only and utilise the extra money you would have spent staying here all inclusive to use on eating out and booking activities instead would be my advice as the main thing this hotel has to offer really is its in a lovley setting and that's all you seem to be paying for.
