This comfortable hotel is situated in Aghia Pelagia. The 60 welcoming rooms offer a perfect place to relax at the end of the day. Undergone a full renovation the past two years this hotel offers ergonomic double rooms, Suites and Master Suites and a specious residence with two separate bedrooms. This hotel is suitable only for adults. Pets are not allowed at this property. Guest in our hotel can enjoy our a la carte restaurant, two bars and a swimming pool.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Firstly there are alot of steps down to the hotel so if you have big suitcases it’s a bit of a pain. Considering the room was booked a year ago , when we arrived at the Hotel, our room was not ready so had to stay in a suite which was lovely but a bit of a trek when we had big suitcases. We then we had to change accommodation again a couple of days later because the suite was not available and we then had the dreaded trek back to the reception with all our luggage with no assistance.
THERE IS NO LIFT which it states on their website . This would have made our lives a lot easier than having to carry our luggage up all the stairs the Hotel has .
Unless you go to breakfast really early there are not enough tables so afew times we had to go and eat out for breakfast which again wasn’t a problem but something we had paid for when we went bed and breakfast.
There is not alot to do in area and would suggest only a week as 2 weeks is way too long .
To get to the main strip is about a 20 min walk .
The hotel was clean and to be honest we did not really see any members of staff to ask for any information .
Would we stay here again ?? Definitely not !!
A good hotel overall, front of house can be a little "funny" sometimes but overall I would recommend this hotel. It's a nice quiet location close to a lovely little beach which is separate from the hotel. Down a hill (as the hotel is situated on a cliff) but its not a bad wonder down regardless of other reviews. Nicely located only a 10mins walk from Agia Pelagia Breakfast is good, nice continental plenty of choice and the breakfast staff are very welcoming. Pool is small but with the beach so close its not really an issue tbh. Amazing views from a sea room!
We stayed at this Hotel last year too. We had a suite then, which was nice, but it had issues. We thought we would go back again this year...
What a disaster.
If you want peace and quiet in an adult-only hotel... FIND ANOTHER! The building of a hotel behind it is an occupational hazard and acceptable, although it is excessively noisy. However... what IS unacceptable is the extremely loud shouting, laughing and talking exhibited by the cleaning staff early morning!
NO respect at all for folks who are there to be at peace on their holidays! ALSO, if you like to have a smoke-free experience, STAY CLEAR! The cleaners smoke within the halls whilst talking and shouting, which brings the smoke into rooms through the AC!! NOT ACCEPTABLE. I do not smoke and do not want it wafting into my space either!
The Hotel reception could not give a proverbial s... either. They are non-committal, complacent, rude and non-active. The proprietor is too busy with his image and protecting the CLEANING LADIES WHO SEEM TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER!? NOTHING IS DONE ABOUT THEM?
The quality of cleaning leaves a lot to be desired too, whilst they were there, they broke the toilet seat and did nothing about it? The reception did NOTHING to replace it, even after several reminders and prior knowledge of it, and left it for days! The cleaners are lazy, rude and dismissive, and do not clean rooms properly, but the hotel turns a blind eye to it?
Last year, I was disturbed by the invasion of the hotel receptionist coming to the room with the cleaner after the cleaner had insinuated that I had made a mark on the floor which she could not remove! The mark was already there when we entered the suite!! I was angry and insulted.
The whole hotel is badly run. I tried to tell the proprietor's son that we were blocked in the car park by someone who was possibly a resident, and could not leave, and in return was treated with disrespect. He carried on walking, telling me where the reception was, never looked at me and shrugged his shoulders, telling me that they would have moved by the morning!! Hardly useful given that it was only lunchtime! RUDE, UNHELPFUL AND COULDN`T GIVE A DAMN.
The handles were falling off the patio doors, the curtains were old, damaged and falling off the rail when drawn, and the furniture was ramshackle and ill-fitting. I have nothing good to say. The hotel boasts satellite TV? The TV was tiny, like a monitor, more like... and had only 6 barely watchable channels, which were ok if you are German! Nothing is catered for in the English language. A joke. The w-fi is also very poor.
The worst thing for me is the disgusting smell of sewage, which comes from the toilet and bathroom drains. It is overwhelming, incessant and disgusting, and smells like the cesspit is just outside the rooms? Even when the bathroom door is kept shut, it pervades the room and is very sickly.
Lastly, can I mention the pool... On the hotel pics (which look like they were taken years ago when newer), the pool looks large and clear. The reality is murky water, dirty with no clarity after the groundsman jet-washed all the rubbish from the poolside directly into it!? NOT CLEAN. The pics also make it look 10 times bigger with a wide-angle lens!?
Listen, folks, I am NOT a vindictive person, but all this is ACCURATE. Spend your money elsewhere. We went for 3 weeks and I couldn't wait to leave the room! Not worth the money we paid, and I regret going back after my misgivings last year. The cleaning ladies rule! Watch out, the reception will not support you!
Also, if you have bad knees... defo go elsewhere!. There are very steep climbs in this hotel, with NO lifts for anyone unable, arthritic, disabled or not 22 years old! Tons of steep flights of stairs on top of a steep walk uphill to get to the reception to begin with! Not set up for bad knees or older people, I`m afraid. The bay is beautiful, we love it, but there are FAR better places to stay in Agia Pelogia!
Be warned, this is ALL true. Would NEVER go back.
This hotel and its non-committal, complacent, rude staff get barely a 1.5/10 from me! Dont let the nice pics fool ya, ok! On top of this is the indignity of having to pay a Climate tax` upon checking in. 105 euros, in our case. This proprietor does NOT use this money to improve this hotel!
Saving grace is the breakfast staff downstairs, who are delightful and do not deserve to have to be in this hotel. Breakfast was the only good thing about the whole experience.
It was a nice pleasant place to stay. The hotel has several buildings, and depends on the room you get, you may have a sea view, just like we did. The room is clean. What I didn’t like was that the electricity only works with the key card from reception. One inconvenience is that once you leave the room, the power also goes off for the fridge. The breakfast is repetitive; there isn’t much to eat apart from eggs, some cold cuts and cheese, and for dessert pancakes and croissants. The hotel has also its restaurant where there is delicious food. in front of the accommodation there is a beautiful beach, a little bit too crowded.
I chose to stay here for a solo seaside getaway and was not disappointed. The hotel is immaculate and all staff are so kind and helpful, my room was large and had everything I needed, including a mini fridge! With a small outdoor area to sit in the evenings I had such a glorious time spent here. It is a short, but steep, walk down the Psaromoura Beach- an idyllic beach with clear seas! I enjoyed walking into Agia Pelagia which was only a 10 minute walk where there was another equally as gorgeous beach, as well as many places to eat, drink and shop! This hotel has so many amenities which I will make sure to use more next time, excellent value for money and truly a beautiful place to spend a nice holiday away.
