The club resort is located by Agia marina, 7 km from the old town of Chania and 20 km from the port of Souda. It is built on a hill, 150 metres from the sea, bus station and the centre of the village, which offers a great variety of facilities. Agia Marina is well known for its natural beauty and entertainment options and it offers a number of restaurants. Shops, bars and nightlife are to be found about 2 km from the hotel. The famous Knossos archaeological site is approximately 140 km from the hotel and Souda airport is around 28 km away.
All the 134 room and suites are in small buildings located throughout the lovely gardens and offer all modern facilities. In the two main buildings there is a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a bar, TV lounge and a buffet and à la carte restaurant. Younger guests may let off steam in the children's playground. Further facilities available to guests at the air-conditioned hotel, which was renovated in 2010, include a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom, lift access, a games room, café and a car park. Wireless Internet access and a laundry service are offered for additional fees.
Each room is tastefully furnished and decorated and features an en suite bathroom with shower, bathtub and hairdryer, a double or king-size bed, a kitchenette with fridge, and a private balcony or terrace. Other in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a radio, safe and individually regulated air conditioning and heating.
There is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, with a separate children's swimming area and a poolside snack bar with sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. Guests may work out in the on-site gym. The nearby beach is sandy.
Buffets are served for breakfast and dinner. A la carte options are also available for lunch and dinner.

Lovely Hotel - Up a Steep Hill
The hotel was lovely but up a very steep hill. There is a lift that takes you part of the trip up the hill which helps. Using the lift you need the 4th floor going up for reception. Food - Breakfast was average the hot food was lukewarm warm most days but there was quite a bit of choice. We had a Club Sandwich by the pool which was lovely. Pool Area - Personally I like room to move the loungers around as my husband likes the shade and I like the sun. But the have loungers set in lines made it really difficult. They look lovely but we felt a little uncomfortable trying to move them into the shade etc. Also the pool is all one depth which for me was to deep to stand. (I am only 5ft though) Reception - friendly and helpful Room - quite small my husband and I were constantly in each others way while try to change etc. Gym - my husband went most mornings.
Although nothing major put us off this hotel we probably would not return but that is personal choice.

A really great hotel
Just returned from fabulous 9 day break with my Mrs. This hotel was excellent and well exceeded our expectations. The great variety of food available at breakfast and throughout the whole day and the service was of a really high standard nothing was too much trouble. We must mention the exceptional bar and waiter service delivered by Chrysa and Raine they made the whole holiday the best it could be and definitely a hotel we will be returning to, thank you.

Some of my experience
Out room is vers comfortable, everyday the staff clean it, the space of it is ok. The barthroom has everything we need. The clever idea was made a handbasin outside the bathroom The staff is very helpful, everyone is nice and polite. The area is so beautiful and the most important to us that is cosily. The location is near to the beach, restaurants and main street Yes, I recommend this place to couples but without kids. One of the most important thing thah added to the value is not too many guests. Here is quietly and calmly. I love this hotel bcause they have an elevator. The road to the hotel is difficult. Maybe i will back here
Disappointing
If you like spending 4star plus prices for at the best 3 star hotel this is the one for you . We booked a room with a garden view on arrival was taken to one of there least modernized rooms of the hotel that more resembled cell block h. Our garden view was a banana plant that litterely covered our balcony which rose up from a car park . Not exactly a garden view . On complaining on a few occasions was told it was a garden view . When asked if the manager would come and explain the view was told either he was busy or not at the hotel . So we never got to speak with the manager . Which we found unacceptable. We paid a price to get what we thought would be a lovely hotel and room . But left very dissatisfied that one the room wasn't fit for a 4star plus hotel and two the manager couldn't be bothered to come and see us. We also stayed on a half board deal. Now we have stayed on this sort of deal everytime we go away and know really what to expect but with this hotel found after a few days the food to be very similar every day. And not the hottest . Bland and basic . The only positive I could say is that the reception area bar area and pool area are lovely with great views. Also majority of the staff were friendly. Summing up we are not people who moan about things . But after a hard year and deciding to pay more than we would normally do . Was very let down by this hotel and its manager .
Great vacation
Im solo traveler, I came in the middle of September, the location of Theo Hotel are great, the bus stop is very close so you can easily take a trip to Chania Town and see beautiful Old Town, also from Chania you can take a bus to another city Rethymno, the staff are friendly, excellent customer service from reception, bar staff and restaurant , always happy to help you with anything you need , the hotel is located on the cliff but have own lift so no issues to get downtown where you have local taverns and lots of small shops , thank you Theo Hotel for pleasant holiday
