Fabulous Thalassa.
Our 2nd trip to Thalassa, another Fabulous holiday. Everyone at the hotel is so lovely from Reception, pool bar, cleaners and Manos in the evenings. Staff all the same from our last stay, they work very hard, but all get on so well. Had a lovely evening invitation to a repeaters evening, lots of other people had returned which just says it all. Crete is a beautiful place, lots of lovely restaurants, plenty of things to do. Thankyou to Thalassa, will see you again soon.

Rooms are very good with up to date technology to wire up - very clean -
There is a problem beside the pool where an attendant swipes towels bags and all for people who are not by the pool / this is unnecessary, iratates clients and is very selective at times , a more mature attitude by staff is required.
The hotel complain of lack of numbers on theme nights . Firstly there’s too many of them , 4 in a week , a complete lack of atmosphere with no music directly attached to the restaurant and the issue of 15% discount was highly questionable in the bill in the end I never got a breakdown ?
The yoga morning is only once a week - should be 2 at least -
Overall yes a very good choice of a hotel , staff excellent , though you feel , they are chasing themselves at time

Great hotel, Lovely attentive staff, Great location and I would definitely return especially for a chilled relaxing holiday.
Hotel was faultless and staff were friendly and very attentive. Spotlessly clean and rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen changed every other day. Pool area, beach area, pool bar and restaurant and main restaurant were all great with a good selection of drinks all reasonably priced. Location: Great location, near to bars and restaurants all within walking distance and a 30 min cab ride to Chania town centre (about 20 euro). Main street sometimes doesn't look really busy but a lot of restaurants are beach side or up side streets opposite the beach. Also about 40 mins to the airport.

Great holiday just a tad quiet for us
Stayed at the end of May 2026. Beautiful hotel ideal position on the strip and straight onto the mostly pebble beach (beach shoes a must). Approx 15/20 min stroll onto the old village (turn left and at the petrol station right up the hill) few nice restaurants in the old village.
Hotel very clean when we stayed it was full capacity however no trouble getting a sunbed. The only downside was it was so laid back and older clientele and we are not young young! not many English people staying at the time and no one really spoke, odd person would say morning. No background music round the pool other than the pool bar but that was turned down low. Nice when the restaurant next door hosted a party as we enjoyed the live Greek music and dj 🤣. Entertainment on an evening need to be livelier singer and guitarist on a couple of nights but it was classic tunes some good ones I might add but stripped back down slow. Only a handful of people attended. Drinks obviously cheaper out of the hotel. Some lovely tavernas beach bars on the beach left and right out of the hotel. Rooms immaculate all you need proper hairdryer, shampoo conditioner shower gel coffee tea bottle of wine water and even bar of chocolate 🍫 Water station to refill your water bottle Gym Staff are great friendly. Breakfast delicious All in all a great hotel if you want chill laid back and quiet. We just like abit of atmosphere.

An absolute gem of a hotel!
It was described as a beach side ,peaceful adult only family run hotel….and thats exactly what it was , and more..it totally exceeded our expectation!
From the moment we arrived to check in at reception at 10 pm, we had a warm welcome, our bags were taken to our room, and we were given info and advice about the hotel.
The room was stunning, a duplex, exceptionally clean, and with everything you could need.
Breakfast was beautifully prepared, displayed , topped up…and delicious.
The setting of the hotel couldn't be nearer to the beach..the sound of the lapping waves was so lovely.
Im not sure who does the interviewing and recruitment for staffing the hotel..but they have it spot on. All the staff are friendly, attentive, smiling and just seem happy . There is an atmosphere of calmness that extends throughout…
We had a fabulous 10/7 stay. Thank you to all the staff…
