- Galini Sea View
The main building is a built in a private extent above the sandy beach of Agia (Santa) Marina. It is a fish village hardly 8 kilometres away from the very beautiful city of Chania and 22 kilometres from the international airport Daskalogiannis in Chania. The hotel has an excellent view of the endless beach and the gorgeous Cretan sea and the unique verdurous landscape. It has a la carte restaurants in order to cover all expectations of our Guests, relaxation and non-stress areas such as heated swimming-pool, fitness center, sauna, steam bath and massage room. Our Guests can also enjoy a lovely cocktail or coffee in one of the Bars of our Hotel, gazing at the immense sea. These services are offered at the main building of the hotel. There is a shuttle bus (30 seats) to transfer our guests from the main building to its annex buildings and vice versa.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I was a bit nervous before arriving here after seeing all of the bad reviews however we actually had a great time! The entertainment team were brilliant and the children and adults were constantly entertained from yoga to waterpolo! My son loved the daily dance on the bridge! Views were absolutely stunning from tha bar and also from my room on floor 5. Sunrise was amazing from the balcony. The hotel is set in different levels on a hill however we didn’t mind as we don’t have mobility issues, people who do would struggle. The beach pool and bar was lovely, the lady serving food there was fantastic and also did the best pizza and cups full of fresh fruit! The beach itself is also beautiful. Gyros from the pool bar were lovely, and so was the ice cream! Banana was my favourite! Food in the restaurant was a bit repetitive so we did eat out a couple of times but mainly filled up on the snack bars throughout the day. Would also like to mention the people who drive the golf cars to take u around the hotel, both so friendly, habibi!! All in all we had a great time and staff worked hard and all friendly. Defo not a 5 star so I believe the bad reviews are from people expecting 5 star standards.
Animation Team(Elias & Az) are amazing
Overall, we had a great family holiday, but the hotel was nowhere near 5* - worthy of a 3*. However, the staff were lovely and very helpful. We especially loved the entertainment provided - a big shout out to Melissa, Aneta, Az and Elias for keeping our family entertained from morning til night!!
Great place Lovely beach and Nice personal Luca is the best
This hotel is simply a cheat, both in terms of rating and all inclusive. The hotel is old, dated, the rooms are small with old and basic furniture, small TV and incredibly poor maintenance. We had broken glasses between balconies, chipped tiles and steps on staircases, dirty and small swimming pools. The first night we found brown marks on the bed linen and the reception gave us new sheet, asking us to change it. The place is generally dirty, including the rooms. The food is no more than a canteen, with limited choice and no allergy corner. If you have coeliac or any other intolerance, please refrain from coming here. Also, the restaurant is open at very limited hours, outside that time there is only basic pizza or gyros available. We booked a sea view room, which is in a separate building on the main road. For food we had to cross the main road and waiting for a club car to take us up to the reception. Overall, this is no more than a 3 star place. There are also added costs to use facilities. We had to pay € 3 per day to use the safe, € 15 per day to use a sunbed on the beach, € 10 deposit to have beach towels. The all inclusive stops at 11 pm, after then you have to pay for drinks or anything else. hence, it is not all inclusive. However, we hold Lastminute, Booking.com and any other holiday provider equally responsible, as there is no quality control. This place is sold as 5 star all inclusive, clearly not the case. We asked for a refund and they agreed the amount of € 2755.20. Interestingly, to book exactly the same room on Booking.com at the same period the cost would have been € 5179. Again, very poor customer care. Finally, the staff are insufficient in number, and despite they are kind and do their best, it is obvious that the majority are untrained. Please avoid the Italian restaurant in the complex, the quality of food and drinks is even lower than the main canteen, if possible!
