- Elia Agia Marina Resort

The hotel “Elia Agia Marina” is located right in front of the beach with a direct and easy access to it. It comprises 35 rooms each about 25 m², decorated in a modern and minimal style and equipped with an air conditioning unit, mini bar, satellite TV, phone, safe vault, hair-dryer, and an espresso coffee maker. A free wi-fi internet connection is available in all areas of the hotel. The hotel restaurant offers tasty dishes from the Cretan, Greek, as well as international cuisine, and a snack bar offering hot and cold plates, cooling drinks, coffee, and alcoholic beverages to take by the pool and the beach. Our reception staff is available 24 hours and are always willing to help you organize tours and trips during your holiday and to assist you for an unforgettable stay.
We stayed for 4 days in October and enjoyed our time there. The staff are good, the rooms are excellent and cleanliness is superb. There are good choices for breakfast but the cold selection is better than the hot. There are lots of places nearby to eat and drink and the bus service to Chania worked very well. We booked a classic swim up room mainly to ensure that we were on the ground floor. Internally, the room was excellent but the pool was so small as to be pointless - it would accommodate 4 people, but only if they were standing upright. I can only think that the rooms with bigger pools were 'superior swim up rooms'. I did not complain because when looking at the photo on the website, the 'classic swim up' was our actual room. As noted, the pool was less important to us, and I only mention it to help people to make the right choice in room booking.

Agia Marina is a great place to stay!
I tried to change the dates of this booking and the customer service was unfriendly and shockingly poor. There was no understanding of my experience and they seem to be a very commercial and corporate hotel with no real personality. I would not book this hotel as this speaks volumes for the way they treat people.
The hotel Elia Agia Marina Resort is compact and shares facilities with its sister hotel Elia Agia Marina Hotel. There are only 35 rooms across both hotels. They share a bar & restaurant. There are 2 small pools with little space around them. The main pool sits in front of the restaurant. They were hardly used by anyone in the 10 days we were there as the beach is directly behind the hotel with very comfortable sunbeds and waiter service. There isn't really an option to move the beds and the shades are static so you are stuck with when in the sun and shade. The sunbeds & hotel bar are open to outside users. They have to pay for sunbeds. Rooms are nicely done. Compact with no drawers space & hanging space too short for maxi length dresses. Could do with some hooks for towels, as nowhere to hand them. Lovely large walk in shower with really good water pressure. Most
Fantastic beach resort with fresh, delicious food at very reasonable prices. The sunbeds cost €15 per person, and the full amount can be used towards food and drinks, which makes it excellent value. The sunbeds are also high quality and very comfortable.
What really makes this place special is the team and the managers. They are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and provide outstanding service, even while working long hours in the summer heat. Their dedication and positive attitude make every visit enjoyable.
This is my third time visiting this resort, and it's one of the main reasons I keep coming back to Chania, Greece. Compared to many other Greek islands I've visited, this place truly offers affordable luxury. I highly recommend it and can’t understand why this resort isn’t more mentioned on social media.
