It was a really nice experience and a great workout.
Avoid Paleokastritsa Palace Hotel – The Worst All-Inclusive Experience in 30 Years Rating: 1/5 Recommendation: Avoid. Go to Cooks Club Corfu instead for a vastly higher standard in every area. If you are considering booking the Paleokastritsa Palace Hotel, look elsewhere. This was comfortably the worst all-inclusive experience I have had in 30 years of travel. Check-in & Service: When checking in with my daughter, I requested twin beds. The staff spoke to me very rudely and flat-out refused, absurdly arguing that a double bed is "the same thing" as twin beds. Rooms & Cleanliness: We were placed in the dated lower section (room numbers starting with 001, 002, etc.). The entire area—both inside the room and along the corridor—had a foul, overpowering sewage smell. The lower pool was also visibly dirty. Food & Dining: The food in the restaurant was practically inedible. There are no dedicated dietary options or vegetarian menus. To make matters worse, staff actively restrict how much you can eat, limiting you to just two slices of pizza rather than letting you serve yourself. In a bizarre move for an all-inclusive resort, you are even forced to pay extra for basic drinking water. Drinks & Bar: The drinks quality is shockingly poor. The wine is dreadful, and the "cocktails" are a joke—their idea of a Sex on the Beach was literally cheap wine mixed with orange juice. The only passable drink was the beer. Atmosphere & Entertainment: The entire property feels old, tired, and unkept. There is zero evening entertainment, leaving the hotel completely dead at night because every guest flees the property to find better food and atmosphere elsewhere. Save your money and peace of mind by booking somewhere else.
