Here you are not a number. You feel that all staff treat you like an individual with a genuine interest in your conversation. Our superior room on the west side was faultless with exceptional views across the bay. On a half board package the buffet style offerings were amazing with plenty of choices to choose from. Thank you to the Head Chef & Spiros so meticulous in his presentation. Not forgetting Head Waiter Miltiadis who went above and beyond with his duties. A special mention must go to Leo and his team whose staff show a genuine friendship for each other from the reception & concierge. Vanessa & Loretta were such a pleasure to deal with, making arrangements for boat hire and knowledge was very much appreciated. The restaurant and pool/patio bar staff were all smiles and could not do enough for you. Special mention to Marina & Alexia who served us well without being annoying on the up- selling. The housekeeping team again were courteous and polite and provided an excellent service. The occasional towel art was a special touch. I must also mention the hotels Avation spa. Our experience starting with the steam room, sauna & salt room as a preamble to an amazing massage should not go without mention. Again the care and thought provided by Georgia, Maria & Sia made us feel so special. Our boat hire with Captain Leo and his team at Argo boats is also highly recommended. Seeking out hidden bays and caves in Liapades bay not forgetting Paradise beach too. As a complete novice this adventure was a highlight for me. Akrotiri Beach resort is highly recommend. Without doubt this whole experience for our 50th wedding anniversary was the right choice and one that we will repeat in the near future.
The incredible team who run this hotel are world class, from the reception, to bar, house keeping, spa and the waiters, everyone was amazing! So much care and attention given. Always happy and helpful, day or night. Nothing was too much trouble. So welcoming and real genuine pleasure to serve you. Thank you to everyone and wishing you a fab summer x
Fabulous hotel with amazing views around the bay, loved the pool area and the pool bar food was great too. Our room had an amazing view and the bathroom was really lovely. Restaurant for dinner was superb with tables overlooking the water, can recommend the cheese dough balls and the Greek salad!! All the staff were great, nothing was too much trouble
Be advised... This hotel includes a lot of walking up and down the stairs to access the beaches... Which is very good if you want to include small workouts in your vacation. :)
Pros:
The hotel grounds and rooms were pretty clean and quiet
Cons:
Really enjoyed our stay. The food was delicious, the pool area was very relaxing and staff were very hard working and attentive.
The views from the hotel and surrounds are absolutely stunning. The location is perfect and the reception staff are very helpful.
Rocky beach was a favourite spot to swim in the sea, great for snorkelling, a real highlight of our stay. We hope to revisit again and would be disappointed if this area wasn’t available!
The hotel was close to excellent boat trips, walks to the small port area, small local beaches, La Grotta and other local bars (Tango cafe bar & Unlimit cocktail bar within easy reach by foot, both great for drinks and friendly service!).
It was easy to book boat trips, we did so via the Get Your Guide app, but there are many places locally to do so in person. Paleo Sea Travel were excellent, would highly recommend their 2 hour speedboat trip to paradise beach, caves and yali beach (stunning waters).
Water shoes are a must. The local beaches are lovely but very stony with pebbles.
Our room was good. However, bed was a bit hard for our liking and sleep was disturbed by this, would also benefit from some small maintenance jobs in the room if we are being really fussy (end of tap outlet appeared to be missing, glass screen slightly damaged and misaligned on the balcony). View from the room was spectacular though, lovely products in the bathroom and the house keeping team were very efficient.
Liked the music playing in the background around the hotel. The evening entertainment could be made more of in the wonderful space they have; this is a very quiet hotel, which suited us this time.
We caught the Green Bus into Corfu Town (€2.80 each way) bus stop just outside hotel main gate - we got off last stop before main bus station in town. Would recommend getting the bus back from the central green bus station in Corfu Town to get a seat - it gets busy and most of those picked up from the stops along the way had to stand. The main station is not too far to walk out of main shopping area.
While overall we were really impressed with the hotel’s main restaurant and service, the balcony area could benefit from a screen outside on the left hand side - this area is close to hotel driers/ ac units and a screen would improve the atmosphere/view if you sat this end for a meal. We also noticed that the driers here blow some fluff out over onto the adjacent cliff vegetation during the day.
We stayed half board which was great but would’ve expected to have access to drinking water without cost - we had to pay extra for this.
We enjoyed our time here as a couple and would definitely look to return in the future with family members.
