Olivar Suites deliver excellence again
This was our 5th time staying at the Olivar Suites and we have enjoyed every single visit. We look forward to returning as soon as we leave. We have previously mentioned a lot of the staff, but this time we need to recognise the front desk team and the reception team led by Angela…sorted out a minor issue we had and left us feeling delighted by their commitment and service…we can’t tell you how much they went out of their way to solve the issue (together with the GM), it was truly “above and beyond” 😎🙏🙏 Again, we want to say thank you to all of the hospitality staff, most of whom we have already mentioned before as they were, again fabulous! See you all in June, we can’t wait 🥳 Special mention to Jenny, Housekeeping, for her wit, service and wonderful care

A lovely location and amazing service
In the end I decided to give this five stars but it was a fine line.
First all the pluses of which there are many. The service at the Olivar Suites was simply the best I have ever had in 30 plus years of staying in good hotels. It is really amazing and this was at the end of a long summer. Second the rooms. Nicely designed and the plunge pool was great. Possibly a bit more privacy for the bathrooms. Third the breakfast. Really, really good but a minor quibble - they need to sort out the long queues to actually get in around 10am. Fourth the beach is great and yes you do get other tourists wandering through but the sun beds are nicely laid out and again great service with iced water etc. Fifth the hotel bar on the beach is good and the snacks were more than adequate. Particularly nice burger and fries in olive oil. Sixth we really liked the fact we were in the middle of the village very close to supermarkets and bus stops to take us into Corfu Town
So why only just five stars?
Messonghi is full of good to really nice tavernas. None of them are particularly fancy but they are fun and the food can be excellent. As a group we went to the hotel restaurant on the last night and it was frankly very underwhelming. The food was expensive, lukewarm and not well executed. They can do an amazing breakfast so why not dinner? Personally I'd halve the price and do straightforward Corfiot cooking really well. At a €100 a head this was a slightly unfortunate end to an otherwise wonderful holiday.
That said I would highly recommend the Olivar Suites. Wonderful location and above all wonderful people. For that alone it deserves five stars.

Great location, great suites, terrible at Breakfast
The location is beautiful and we had an upgrade to the superb beach front suites. Overall service was good but breakfast was a disaster with 30- 40 minute waits and queues everyday….. only on the last day were we told we can have it for free in our suites!!! Local restaurants Bacchus and Kostas are great and you are very close to them. On a sunny day I am sure they don’t have an issue with Breakfast but the lack of any visible management engagement over the issue was disappointing.

Wonderful, tranquil oasis 🤍
From the moment you arrive, you feel truly taken care of by every single member of the staff. The hotel is beautifully designed with a big attention to details. Rooms are tucked away amidst a lush, magnificent garden. The private beach and the beach bar are very well organized, with breathtaking views over the sea and the mountains. Food is fresh and delicious. Cannot wait to be back to Olivar Suites next season!
