Decided on a last minute week long package here, based mainly on the great reviews on this site but overall we were a little disappointed. We’re a well traveled couple in our late 50’s & we enjoy the quieter hotels & resorts now so in that respect it ticks the box. Our room was across a dirt track road, not in the main part of the hotel & we had to lug our cases up hill with quite a few steps to reach it. I have slight mobility issues & had to wait half way up for my husband to come & rescue my case as I couldn’t manage it.The room was basic but clean. Breakfast was more than adequate, self serve buffet style & eaten outside. We enjoyed walking into town in the evening for a good meal & found some very nice restaurants. It was about a 25 minute walk at our pace. We spent our days reading & relaxing by the pool. There was a small scrubby beach close by that we visited for approximately an hour & didn’t bother going back to as it really wasn’t great. As a beach lover I was really disappointed. The owners of the hotel are friendly and work very hard because seemingly (we were told) it’s very difficult to employ & retain staff. Once a week they hold a Greek night that is also open to non residents. It was the highlight of the time we spent at the hotel. Good food & good fun. On the last full day of our holiday we were packing up our belongings & discovered that we had been the victims of theft. As smokers who occasionally vape, we had brought with us a brand new & sealed vape kit-for emergencies! When we picked it up to pack it was no longer sealed-in fact it was just an empty box-the entire contents had been taken-a disappointing end to our stay. We didn’t bother reporting the theft, for a £15 kit it wasn’t worth the hassle but for future guests it might be worth bearing in mind. It’s a shame when the owners try so hard to run a successful business to have to say that overall it just wasn’t up to the standard we enjoy.

Wonderful stay at Mediterranean Blue Apartments in Kavos, Corfu
What a lovely holiday we had at the Mediterranean Blue Apartments. Penny and her staff were so accommodating and made our stay really special. Our room was lovely, clean and overlooking the Ionian Sea. View was breathtaking. We booked bed and breakfast, breakfast was 5 star! Pools were beautiful and grounds were well maintained. The private beach was fantastic and complimented the beautiful Ionian Sea which is so still, warm and stays shallow for a long way out making it a perfect place for swimming. Greek night at Mediterranean Blue was fantastic. Loved the plate smashing.
Excursions can be booked on site and we enjoyed a lovely day in Corfu. Visiting tge fortress is a must with panoramic views. Unfortunately our boat trip to Paxos and AntiPaxos and the Blue Caves had to be cancelled as there was an electrical storm, so unsafe to travel.
Kavos has some lovely restaurants and bars. Everyone is so friendly.
Would stay again. Thanks to Penny and her wonderful staff.
Excellent holiday
We stayed at Mediterranean Blue from 31/08/2026 until the 11/09/2026 The owners Penny and Billy were amazing so friendly ,they worked so hard to please everyone staying there ,always smiling ,happy, always offered to help you and to make sure you were you was having a wonderful time. The cleaning lady was brilliant sorry I can't remember her name she worked so hard and our room was always kept clean. We can't fault the Mediterranean Blue at all it was prefect in everyway ,such a relaxing wonderful holiday. We had breakfast included ,there was so much choice of hot and cold food but we only ate it a couple of times due to getting up early and going out to the beach. We got a moped for 8 days which was brilliant as there is so much to see and do in Corfu . It is about 10.mins walk to the main stripe and we walked along the beach to get there perfect place ,we love Kavos and will be going back again soon

Lovely family holiday.
We choose this hotel because of the great reviews and it didn't disappoint. Penny and her team are wonderful friendly and the most helpful people who made our stay one of the most chilled out holidays we've had.
We booked a two bedroom sea view apartment (Room 405) over looking the hotel pool with views to the sea and main land which was beautiful especially watching the sun rise and sunsets from our balcony. The rooms were basic but clean, comfortable and adequate for our stay. Air conditioning worked brilliantly.
We stayed half board. The food was delicious and plentiful. But if you've got a veggy and fruit hating teenager like mine you may struggle. He mostly had meat and rice each evening. He did enjoy the pizza and bbq night though! Breakfast was good too but the swarm of wasps in the mornings wouldn't allow us to eat in peace. We ended up taking food back to our room to enjoy without being pestered. Wasps are a big problem at meal times all over the island. I found if we came down a little later in the evening to eat they had mostly all gone to bed.
We booked 3 trips with Penny, Corfu town, boat trip to Paxos and Aqualand. The Greek night at the hotel was so much fun!! We also took advantage of the free transfer to Tex mex in Kavos on our last night which i would highly recommend the food was delicious. Kavos itself in very run down and absolutely dead during the day. We didn't experience the nightlife as we prefer the quieter atmosphere back at the hotel but I'm sure it comes alive later in the evenings.
On our last day our flight wasn't until 9pm we stayed around the pool and had lunch at the hotel. Penny kindly let us use a room to change and shower before our departure which was very much appreciated. She also arranged a private transfer to and from the airport .
This was the first time we have visited Corfu and I know it won't be the last. I would definitely come back to this hotel for a chilled out pool holiday. My boys loved it. It feels safe, welcoming and friendly exactly what you need for a perfect family holiday.
Our lovely stay in Med Blue
We had a fantastic stay here so relaxing and very traditional heres my thoughts!
The staff are the most helpful ive met in years Penny Marios Panos and the rest are great and will get things done when you ask real quick .We spent a lot of time in the pool area the pool was warm and clean and the beds comfy the bar played chilled music and the burgers and chips were a big hit with our 14yr old twins and 11yr old girl who had upteen delicious milkshakes.
Panos the daytime barman was a brilliant guy who was very nice to me and especially our daughter who loved sitting at the bar at lunch chatting with him and me.
Breakfast was nice the lovely little lady in there made sure fresh eggs kept coming out they were really well cooked ( only thing it could do with are some proper English sausages to be fair ) but great choices. The beach is 2 mins away and the sea warmer than a bath! Its quiet and great views of the mainland and Paxos , Greek night was great. Dinner again fine but if you have a fussy eater it can be difficult as not much plain choice for kids so maybe have some pasta or chips nightly with plain chicken for the little ones.
The rooms are clean comfy and we had an amazing sea view. Very traditional.
I will say one thing and im only being honest as i think its important firstly if you dont like cats be weary theres at least 7-10 living on sight they do sit around your beds and your tables and sometimes jump up but we loved them!
Secondly and my only real negative wasps at every meal trying to eat your food ( you eat outside ) not stingy buzzy wasps but silent ones but really annoying having to constantly bat them away as they land on your plate it did sort of make mealtimes a quick as you can eat and go but it did not affect our love of the hotel!! So a great place and if you want the traditional small greek hotel experience this is the place!!!
