A 5💫 People's Hotel
Firstly let me dispel any concerns you have...... Is Hotel Ziva a European 5💫hotel.......Absolutely! To put that into context......we usually go to Rixos Dubai this time of year, my disappointment at being unable to go was swiftly dismissed following my experience here. Would I return to Ziva.....too right I will. From our initial, comprehensive greeting by Aspa, I inherently knew it was going to be special.......but WOW, what a Gem of a hotel. The staff bend over backwards, to immerse you into a 5 star, pampered experience. The food is varied and tasty....you know when you look at dishes and they don't live upto the taste test? Not here......they all burst with flavour and fill your expectations.....the main dilemma is chosing which dish to order, not a bad dilemma to have on holiday. There are an Army of cleaners, who Meet & Greet you, that keep everywhere spotless. Rooms are spacious, and well equipped......albeit, I did miss a vanity area and mirror in the bedroom......Hey Hotel Ziva, some ladies don't like to put their make up on in the bathroom 😉 Activities are in abundance, throughout the day and evening, and the entertainment team, although they must be exhausted, always smile and chat to you in such a genuine manner, they are the best I've seen anywhere on my travels. Matthew is such a lovely guy, you have a hidden Gem in him and his team. Favourite foods I could write a stand alone review on........but do try Yai Yai for Sofrito and Moussaka. The Maître d' is so welcoming and beautiful and Stefano tends to all your needs. If you desire fish.....Fusions Tuna is to die for, please don't leave without trying the Sesame Mousse, I'd visit this restaurant just for the mousse! Fusion is the most beautiful venue, with attentive staff and the greatest ambience. Talking of restaurants, I personally booked on the app with no issues and rebooked Yai Yai and Fusion, except for Pappous, just couldn't get a slot.......spoke to other guests, who were struggling and the hotel sorted out a slot for Pappous, no problem......it was a stunning Greek Grill experience too. Didn't try Italian, I personally loved everything on the menu, but sadly, my husband couldn't find enough choice for his personal needs [ he is sensitive to peppers], so we gave it a miss. Pools are all different and spacious, with great loungers, we were drawn to the Infinity pool, great bar, great midday snacks, great servers, received a lot of pampering there by the staff, felt really spoilt. Bar to sunlounger service......great idea. Please consider trying the 'Romantic dinner', if your budget allows, the Hotel adds a cabana for the day. So........morning to early evening you relax in your cabana having chose your venue, with iced water, pink bubbly, a stunning bowl of iced fresh fruit......the servers bringing you drinks throughout the day [we had a nice little siesta in the shade of the cabana]. Then on the evening, stroll to a solitary dining area by the waters edge, for a spectacular 4 course candlelight dinner.....the Chateaubriand is the best [supersedes, the Burj Al Arab in Dubai!] Big shout out to Chef, and Christina for the spectacular quality of the food. During our 10 day stay, my husband experienced an urgent medical event, I wish to extend a massive thanks to Alexander and Nassos on the night shift, who assisted in a calm and proficient manner. Also Aspa and Lenka, who subsequently followed up daily on my husbands health status, and ensured we had all we needed. The servers and bar staff in the main lounge were lovely and ensured a regular supply of our favourite tipples.....great venue for chatting or meeting people. Lovely to have smoking areas, feels inclusive, but allows people to choose where they sit. Costas in the world buffet, and his army of servers, work like a well oiled machine, lovely to watch, and the highchairs set up with their utensils is a great touch. Will we return to Ziva?.....Too right we will!!! See you all in 2027 And remember......'Never forget the difference you make'

Excellent Second Stay
Our second visit to this wonderful hotel and we were not disappointed. The setting is absolutely beautiful and everything about the place is warm, welcoming and friendly. It has become a firm favourite for us. We stayed in a sea view bungalow and one of the real delights is wandering around the pathways between them enjoying the views, the planting and the sense of peace and quiet. The views of the sunrise each morning are really stunning. The bungalows are comfortable and clean and have everything you could want. A thank you to Maria who took care of ours for the week. A real strength of this hotel is the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff. They are so welcoming and never mind going to extra mile to ensure your stay is the best experience possible. A special mention to Angelina on Reception, Costas and Maria in the main buffet and Vasiliki who kept us well hydrated on our sun beds down by the beach. The food and drink is of a very good standard. The is a a lot of choice, both of food and places to eat, and I don’t know how anyone could be bored by it. The hotel caters for older couples and young couples with small children alike. There is a lovely mix of both these groups throughout the hotel which manages to create a happy and relaxed atmosphere for all. We really cannot wait for our next visit to this fantastic hotel.
Lovely family-friendly hotel
Overall we had an excellent 7-day family holiday at Hyatt Ziva in September (booked when it was Dreams)- we thought 4.5 stars would be about right, but didn’t want to mark it down too much.
We stayed in a standard in-land view room, which turned out to be in a separate little block slightly away from the main hotel- room 716. There were some steep stairs up to our room, which was a little difficult with a 17 month old and his pram, but the area was nice and quiet. I don’t really see the appeal of being a ‘preferred’ member for the price point, so we were perfectly happy with our choice.
We spent most of our time during the day near the lagoon pool, which although is a beautiful and fairly vast pool, is pretty cold! The heated pool near the beach isn’t as easy for kids to get in and out. So a bit backward really. We ate once at the Seaside Grill, which is in a lovely setting- food was pretty good, nothing amazing, but we had a great evening here- we didn’t feel the need to try any of the other A La Cartes, although if we stayed longer than a week, we probably would’ve done. We booked a taxi through reception to get to Corfu town one day, but weren’t given a number to ring for the way back. I’m not sure if this is standard practice or not?
The good-
- The whole hotel is spotlessly clean, and the cleaners work really hard
- Grounds are very well-maintained on the whole
- Our room, although only a standard, was perfectly spacious and had decent storage. The room is modern and clean, with AC that worked very well
- Mattress was very comfortable and didn’t make a noise
- Blackout curtains were excellent
- Our view was unexpectedly nice
- Staff in general are very friendly, especially Matthew on the entertainment team, who always made a fuss of our son
- The world buffet had excellent choice and the quality was consistently good
- Drinks are of a good variety- with premium spirits and no half measures- loved an ice coffee/frappe and a frozen daiquiri at the pool bar. If you order fresh orange juice at breakfast as well, very tasty. With the banana smoothie at breakfast particularly nice.
- No wristbands! You were just trusted to be a guest at the hotel and that was that
- There were plentiful sunbeds in each area, and the guests didn’t really reserve them and walk off
- A very family-friendly hotel: kids clubs, lots of equipment to hire for free for the room, and lots of high chairs complete with baby crockery set out. Kids felt very welcomed, which is the main reason we booked here originally.
The not so good/could be better-
- Our mini bar wasn’t stocked much- we had a pepsi/orangeade on day 3 and there still weren’t any on our final day- we probably could’ve asked at reception, but this should be checked by the staff. Our half-empty water bottle got taken away by a cleaner and not restocked.
- Our privacy/’make up our room’ door handle hanger was taken away by the cleaner part way through the week and not returned
- The beach areas, although man-made were very nice, but the giant inflatable park was pretty much unused and somewhat of an eye-sore
- Excess food at dinner/lunch at the buffet seemed to be turned into a new dish at a later time- good on the waste front, but not so good on variety
- Staff that offered juice/coffee at breakfast weren’t always around- there seemed to be too few staff on at times. Empty dishes were sometimes slow to be taken as well
- There is a wasp problem, seemingly not a hotel-specific problem but they were everywhere as soon as you started eating/drinking, and around all the bars. They weren’t aggressive, but annoying nonetheless.
- I thought the bedroom could do with an extra full-length mirror on the wall, and some more towel hooks/rail in the bathroom for used towels.
- Our balcony was pretty tiny and overlooked by the room next door
- The golf buggies got quite annoying sometimes- we kept having to manoeuvre in and out of pathways with a pushchair, and one almost reversed into us at one point.
- There was a topographical survey being undertaken during our week. Not really an issue as such, just interesting to note.
So room for improvement to make this hotel truly 5 star, but the value was decent overall. We don’t tend to return to the same hotel time and again, but we agreed we would definitely return in the future, funds permitting..

Fabulous Corfu
Just back from a fab trip to Corfu Hyatt Ziva is a lovely hotel & the staff are amazing. Greeted by staff with a welcome drink. The hotel is a lot bigger than we had expected. We were lucky to be given a large room located near the main restaurant. The food was exceptional throughout our stay. Plenty of choice, fresh each day & attentive waiting staff. We tried all speciality restaurants & enjoyed all of them. Wide choice of foods, lovely presentation & great staff. All inclusive, so drinks included. Plenty of choice again. We did not venture to see the entertainment, this was partly due to the weather as it was abit cooler at night (& the entertainment was outside). A lot of guests stayed in the bar area, chatting & playing games( cards & board games) It would have been nice to have a band or light background music in the bar area. We would definitely return to this hotel & highly recommend it. The hotel has lots of steps & is perhaps not suitable for people with mobility problems. If you stay in the main building it would be fine, but going down to the beach area & restaurants maybe be difficult for wheelchair users.

Amazing
Absolutely loved this hotel , the preferred club is definitely worth the extra . Nice pool area and the preferred club is lovely to sit and have snacks and drinks . We used the hotel taxi for a trip into Corfu town . All the restaurants are worth a visit , nothing not to like here
