TRYP by Wyndham Corfu Dassia

Great little hotel but what is outstanding are the staff all professional,efficient and polite. Nothing is to much trouble and they are always willing to go the extra mile. Leonardis and Nikos the breakfast kings unfortunately Nikos is a spurs supporter so you cannot have everything. Manos and Georgia run the pool bar a real treat and Aris in the evening making a real mean espresso martini the lovely Yillka looked after our room. Reception team perfect. Sorry this review is all about the staff but they are faultless and made a real impression on my stay

Where do I start? This was our first visit to Corfu, and we chose this hotel based on the brilliant reviews of the staff, and the fact it was a smaller hotel, which suited our needs.

It is a smaller but beautifully kept hotel. From the warm welcome and very welcome cool drink on arrival, to our spotlessly clean room, we knew we would be looked after.

We were a family of 3 (with our nearly 18 year old daughter) and although the room wasn’t the biggest, it was perfect for our needs with a decent sized fridge.

Aircon was reliable and so needed in August (!) and although the bathroom was on the small side, everything was well maintained and beds super comfy.

One of the nicest things about this hotel is there is a beautiful garden with sun beds just past the swimming pool area, so always plenty of room, and no hint of anyone getting up at 6am to put their towel out!

Fresh towels were available daily from the pool bar which was very helpful.

The little jacuzzi was a nice addition, and the shower/toilets that were available next to the pool were new and very clean, and really handy to have.

Breakfasts were brilliant, huge selection, beautifully presented each day.

The pool snacks available for lunch and also throughout the afternoon to order were delicious and always arrived quickly.

The main thing I have to say is what a difference it makes to your holiday having such lovely and helpful staff. The entire team go above and beyond, and we really very much appreciated this.

There are too many people to mention, but Georgia, Manos, Leonardis, Lucia, Nikis, Michaela were so lovely. Aris the lovely bar manager kindly made us a ‘Vesper’ cocktail (thanks again!!), Olympia was fantastic keeping our room spotless each day, Manos made us wonderful freddo cappucinos and frozen margaritas, and the wonderful Andreas on reception really went above and beyond making our stay so memorable.

As others have said, there isn’t a huge amount to Dassia, but it’s worth coming back just to stay in this hotel again, and it’s only a 30 min bus ride to the old town, which is absolutely beautiful.

If you are looking for a relaxing place to enjoy the sunshine, a good base to get around the island, and friendly kind staff, this is the hotel for you.

We have been to Corfu 12 times over the last 25years and this is the best hotel we have stayed in. It cost cost a bit more than others previously, but we decided to treat ourselves for our 30th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed, the level of attentiveness of the staff is fantastic, the cleanliness is top drawer and the quality of the beds meant we had a great nights sleep every night! I asked for a softer pillow and it was on my bed by the time I got back to my room. Breakfast here is superb, a great selection of hot and cold choices, my personal favourite is the bacon and scrambled eggs with chives with the fresh bread rolls, while my wife enjoyed a huge selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts and honey. The hotel Spa is also worth a visit, nothing better than a relaxing massage to get you into the holiday mood. Highly recommend, the staff are all amazing.
