Conveniently situated in Agios Ioannis Peristeron, on the beautiful and bright island of Corfu, this stunning accommodation is the ideal place to stay when visiting this destination. Nestled on the green mountain, visitors will be enchanted by the breath-taking natural surroundings and the blue Ionian Sea that extends right in front of the establishment. Corfu’s town centre is 16 kilometres away and Corfu International Airport is at around 15 kilometres away. All the air-conditioned rooms are fully equipped with modern amenities such as a satellite TV and boast great views to the sea, the hotel’s swimming pool or the mountain. The property offers several dining venues such as a restaurant, a lobby bar and a pool bar. Among other facilities, travellers may pamper themselves with a refreshing swim at the saltwater, outdoor swimming pool.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Having read some of the reviews before coming here we were slightly worried about what to expect. When we arrived we were greeted by Chris on reception who was amazing. He was friendly explained everything and engaged with the whole family exactly what you want in a hotel after a long day of travelling. It was late but there was sandwiches and water waiting for us as the restaurant had closed. All the staff were amazing. A few to mentioned was Elizabeth (Abi) who made our morning coffees and shared the same taste in music as my son as they sang together. Elena was amazing. Spoke to us at every meal and nothing was too much hassle. The room we stayed in was one of the newly renovated room with a direct sea view and we couldn’t complain. Was big enough for the family and spotless clean everyday. The cleaner was extremely thorough and chatted to me daily. She deserves great credit for the work she does unfortunately didn’t get her name. The food was ample and plenty of choices each day. Sometimes you might be surprised if you try something new especially the salads. The kids were a big fan of the ice creams and enjoyed serving themselves. In regards to the sunbeds these are placed out daily around 7ish as they are cleared each evening. We never had any issues getting a sunbed on any of the 9 days we were here but don’t expect to come down at 10am and have one waiting for you. The main bar at night time was amazing. George was fantastic. He memorised the orders and engaged with our children even putting on cartoons for them and made them feel special so thank you. Check out was fine and we were able to book a slot for showers as we had a later flight that day. All in all we would definitely recommend this scenic hotel and we will definitely return. Thank you
Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The hotel feels poorly maintained, with leaks across the walkways, unpleasant drain smells, mould in the room, and a general lack of upkeep.
The rooms are dated but otherwise fine; however, they are very noisy with thin doors. The hotel also needs much more accurate and up-to-date photos online, as the current pictures do not reflect the condition or overall feel of the hotel.
The food was repetitive, fine but not great! and the snack bar was very limited, so the experience hardly felt truly all-inclusive. The main bar was understaffed, and although some staff members were pleasant, helpful and nice others were very unhelpful and rude when we raised issues.
. There was constant jumping into the pool, excessive inflatables, and very little sense of a relaxing atmosphere.
Another major issue was the lack of secure storage for valuables after early checkout. Late checkout was unavailable, yet the hotel offered nowhere safe for us to leave valuable belongings.
The worst part was the courtesy room. We were given a room with hair on the floor, used towels everywhere, and a full bin. When we raised this, we were told that the room was “not meant to be cleaned” and that staff had no time to clean it or even go inside. This is completely unacceptable and unhygienic. A courtesy room being used by multiple guests should at the very least have the towels removed, the bin emptied, and the floor cleaned between uses.
We did not feel comfortable showering or changing in those conditions, and no reasonable alternative was provided. Overall, this hotel falls well below a 4-star standard and does not reflect the quality we expected from the Mitsis name.
Very disappointing. I have never left a review before but felt this is definitely not a 4* as advertised. Hotel very tired-lots of broken fittings in bathroom, a trickle of water from the broken shower between 5-7 and water either scalding or freezing. Air con leaking, adult sleeping on a Z bed. Raw chicken, literally no veggie food, not enough sun loungers or tables for guests, no where to sit. Two items of property taken from our room. Pool unusable due to volume of people and volume of thumping music. Lovely location, weather great, sea beautiful.
I don’t usually write reviews because I think people can sometimes be a bit overdramatic, but I wanted to leave an honest one about our stay.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday and made some amazing memories, but considering how much we paid, I don’t think I’d return.
The hotel itself was nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. The inside of the hotel was a little old-fashioned and could probably do with some modernising, but it was decently clean and well looked after. Our room was clean and comfortable, although my cousin’s bed had a whole board missing underneath when we first arrived, meaning it completely sank in the middle. We mentioned it at reception and, after asking a couple of times, it was eventually fixed, so we appreciated that it was sorted.
One thing that wasn’t a great first impression was arriving at the hotel. There was nobody available to help with suitcases or luggage, so we had to carry everything up a very steep flight of stairs ourselves, which wasn’t ideal after travelling.
The biggest disappointment by far was the food. I’m genuinely not a picky eater, and neither are my cousins—we’ll eat pretty much anything—but the food was honestly quite poor. There were only around seven options each evening, which I wouldn’t really class as a buffet. Although the fruit was really nice, Breakfast and lunch were manageable, but dinner was a real struggle most nights. We actually went to bed hungry quite a few evenings. Thankfully, there was a little supermarket right next to the hotel, which came in handy for snacks and drinks.
The absolute highlight of the holiday was the beach. It was absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear water, and we could have spent all day swimming and sunbathing there. The views around the hotel were beautiful too, and there were so many Instagram-worthy spots for photos.
We also did a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon and one of the nearby towns, which was a really good day out. The scenery was incredible and definitely worth seeing. However, if you suffer from travel sickness, I’d probably give it a miss or make sure you take travel sickness tablets beforehand—the boat can get quite rough!
Another thing that really made the holiday special was the people. The locals were so friendly and welcoming wherever we went, and everyone made us feel at home.
If you’re planning to visit Corfu Old Town, I’d definitely recommend using Uber rather than booking transport through the hotel. Reception quoted us €50 with around a one-hour wait, whereas our Uber cost €30 and arrived in just seven minutes. Corfu Old Town itself is absolutely stunning and is a must-visit.
The World Cup matches being shown on the TV was a nice touch, although the evening entertainment was fairly average.
Overall, we really did enjoy our stay and had an amazing holiday, mainly because of the beautiful surroundings, the beach, and the lovely people. However, for the amount we paid, we expected a much better standard, especially when it came to the food. Sadly, that’s the main reason I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
Very poor , shared balconies, bad , cold food. Condescending staff, under staffing in all areas except reception, hardly any choice at the bar , children helping themselves to ice cream, plastic glasses were a joke , I understand around the pool but not in the main bar. Dirty showers , dirty toilets , bad lifts infact one had a sharp bit sticking out of it just at ancle height.three types of Terrible terrible music playing on three different speakers all at once , family movie night was pretty woman, yep a film about prostitution lol, no we’re to sit half the time, hardly any sun beds , no organisation, entertainment was poor , infact the woman in charge grabbed 2 children around the pool to stop them jumping in, ramps and steps everywhere, broken lights, snack bar was a warm display fridge where everyone could touch everything just like the ice cream bar, never been in a 4 star hotel that bad I would give it a 2 /3 star , don’t waste your money, do not go .
