Angsana Corfu Resort and Spa

Well what can I say..... 1st a foremost if you want to know about 5 star customer service from your staff send them to Amanti made for 2 .First off hotel is stunning as we all knew it would be as per pictures . Food was good George was the only 5 star rated person there who knew his job . Before we got to the hotel we messaged the hotel explaining it's a very special trip if there is any chance of a upgrade that would be amazing ( surprise surprise totally ignored our request .. im not surprised as they did not even know the price of a local bus ticket to corfu ... 5 star remember . ) lift broke down door key entry to room broke down . Had to change rooms and put us on first floor right over the noisy reception we requested to be moved to a higher room. Which was done.. but once again all felt like it was a inconvenience to them .Beach was nice resort is beautifull but any dealing with staff was so awkward even simple request . Then to add more insult the guy who takes you to the bottom of the hill told me he was doing me a FAVOUR!!!! . The truth hurts guys . And I will never turn or recommend.

We have just returned from a wonderful visit to Angsana Corfu. Ate meals at Sofrito and Oribu, both excellent. Huge kudos to the pastry chefs as the desserts were exceptional. Reception and front desk very helpful and accommodating, bus boys and shuttle bus drivers also friendly, fun and genuine. A-Lounge barstaff were excellent, going above and beyond for a request for a vegan ice cream. Cannot fault anything in their control, the lifts had a bit of a blip but was repaired quickly. Buffet breakfast fantastic [huge choice of different dishes] and well managed. Cannot fault a wonderful stay in a lovely room.

Ionian Junior Suite - The room was spacious the bed was comfortable. Housekeeping was good, the room was spotless. We were on the 3rd floor directly above the main reception entrance, overlooking a glorified drop off/pick up & parking area with ocean views beyond. Staff attempt to keep the area clear with valet parking, but there are always several parked vehicles. Constant noise of arriving and departing, taxis, shuttle buses, buggies, valet service etc., Voices of people below echoing up to the room, while waiting for vehicles and feet clomping on the wooden walkway into reception. I asked about noise on being shown the room, I was told that it wasn’t noisy and all the Junior Suits were on that side anyway.

Level -2 , infinity pool and surrounding area, the hotels main attraction and selling point. The pool is vast with excellent views. However, the design does not allow enough space for an adequate number of sun loungers. Guests were waiting for beds to become available and in some areas the beds were very tightly crammed together. Loud music was played constantly. It was not the relaxing experience I expected.

Beach area - quieter , always a lounger available.

Food - Breakfast was fine, with adequate choices. We did not use the other restaurants as those in Benitses are nearby, consistently good and considerably cheaper.

Management- lacking. The lift malfunctioned on the 3rd of our 7 days. As I was entering the door suddenly closed forcefully hitting my right leg knocking me off balance into the wall, resulting in bruising to my right leg and left arm. A guest getting in behind me commented that the same happened to her husband the previous day. I reported the incident to reception, showing the developing bruising, a note was made with our room number. During the remainder of our stay, I received no contact from management with either an apology or a welfare check. Subsequently all the lifts were serviced. I mentioned this incident at checkout and that the lack of an apology was disappointing. The staff member seemed concerned and as we did not leave for the airport until late afternoon, they would talk to a manager, but no approach was made prior to our later departure. In my opinion this reflects badly on the management at Angsana Corfu, and the Banyan Tree group.

I would not return to this hotel.
