Kerkyra Blue Hotel and Spa

We have just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at the Kerkyra Blue Hotel and Spa. The hotel was welcoming from the moment we got there. As we were late arrivals a small snack of sandwiches and fruit as well as a well stocked fridge, which was replenished daily, were in the room. The room was spacious , comfortable, very clean, we had a great view of the cruise ships port, very quiet and a great air con system and Marianna and her colleagues kept the room spotless clean. The pool areas were kept very clean, the sun beds plenty full we did notice a lot more beds were reserved, early morning in our 2nd week when the hotel was busier. The best sunbeds I've ever had with thick mattresses . Pool service for drinks and a special shout out to Faye who worked tirelessly in very high temperatures with her colleagues.
The animation team were amazing, showing great enthusiasm from their wake up dance in the morning to their end of the day dance at 5pm., loved the break dancing by Alvin and Desmond. They are always smiling, encouraging but never pushy. The best animation team Ive come across and I've stayed at a lot of hotels, great team work. Another special mention goes to Lilas for motivating me to do her yoga, pilates and stretch classes, a different one each morning, by the sea, which I loved. I wouldnt have done this at home so thank you Lilas. The food was excellent and my husband and I enjoyed the fact we could sit in an adult only area, inside or out. Christiana always greeted us with a smile for breakfast. We also enjoyed eating in the Japanese and Greek restaurants situated in the hotel. Drinks were plentiful and all the main brands were available on all inclusive. The only negatives I had about the hotel was the beach, it could be made to be a bit more inviting. The hotel isn't situated near anywhere in walking distance but a bus can be caught at the bottom of the drive, giving easy access to Corfu town. Top tip buy the tickets from machine its cheaper than on the bus.

All in all this hotel was excellent, the staff hardworking and we would definatly return.

Where do I start? We had the most amazing week at Kerkyra Blue and honestly couldn't fault a thing. Our room was spotless and the sea view from the balcony was beautiful. The whole hotel was immaculately clean every single day and the sun loungers were honestly the most comfortable we've ever had on holiday. What really made this place special was the staff. Every single person we came across was so friendly, from reception and housekeeping to the waiting staff, pool maintenance team and the animation team. We were always greeted with a cheerful "Kalimera" and made to feel so welcome. One lovely waiter even taught my husband a new Greek word every day and he enjoyed practising them throughout the week. It was such a lovely personal touch. The food was excellent with so much choice. Our 16 year old daughter is vegetarian and she had no trouble finding plenty to eat at every meal. Everything we tried was delicious and the drinks were great too. The entertainment was brilliant. The animation team worked so hard and their breakdancing performances were amazing. Greek night was another highlight. The local dancers they brought in were fantastic and before long everyone was up dancing and having a great time. We also went into Corfu Town during the day and again one evening. The taxi was a flat rate of €20 each way, which we thought was excellent value. Having Lidl just across the road from the hotel was really handy too. We hired a boat from the beach and picked up food and drinks beforehand. I always say I never go back to the same hotel twice because there is such a big world to explore, but this place has completely changed my mind. I am genuinely thinking about booking Kerkyra Blue again because it was that good. The biggest compliment I can give is that my 16 year old daughter said it was the best holiday she has ever had. If I could give this hotel 6 stars, I would. Thank you to everyone at Kerkyra Blue for giving us such a wonderful holiday. We can't recommend it highly enough.
