A disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel
We expected a 5-star experience, but it was far from it and we returned home with a huge disappointment. Mosquitoes & Bees: The hotel is located near a swamp, meaning it is infested with millions of mosquitoes. My entire family, including my young children, got bitten all over their bodies and faces. The kids were crying and scratching throughout the whole trip. During the day there are many bees, making it impossible to sit outside in the afternoon/evening. Mice in the room: In the middle of the night, I saw a mouse that had probably been in our room since day one. My young children were terrified and started crying. I had to wake up the whole family and pack all our bags at midnight to move to an alternative room. No kids' activities: There is almost nothing for children to do. There is no indoor play area or air-conditioned arts and crafts room for them. Towel service: Most of the time, the towel station at the beach is empty. The staff member ran out of towels and had to leave his post to fetch more. Location & Transit: The hotel is very isolated, which strictly requires having a car to get around. Additionally, the car rental prices offered directly by the hotel are quite expensive. Poor drinks quality: The tap water taste is terrible and undrinkable, including the bottled water in the minibar. The soft drinks from the machines are overly sweet and taste very cheap. For a 5-star hotel, we expected proper, quality beverages.Bottom line: There is a significant gap between the professional photos on the website and the actual experience in reality. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations for a 5-star resort.

Having traveled extensively for Family summer vacations (02 Adults + 02 Kids) across five-star resorts in Greece, Turkey, Malta, and Spain over the years, I can confidently say that 🇬🇷 Almyros Beach Resort in Corfu is, by far, the top-of-the-tops FAMILY Vacations experience we have ever had.
We'd stayed for 14 days at Almyros Beach Resort and what sets this resort apart isn't just the beautiful, pristine facilities, the beach location with gorgeous sunsets, or the fantastic pool slides—it is the extraordinary people. The entire staff goes the extra mile in a way that is truly genuine and heartfelt. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with overwhelming warmth, care, and attention every single day. The level of personal touch was incredible—staff members made an effort to learn our names, quickly remembered my kids' favorite foods, and went out of their way to ensure every single day was flawless. Their respectful, friendly, and deeply caring attitude was constant, with every team member actively checking in to make sure we were having the absolute best vacation experience possible. We have never felt so genuinely welcomed, cared for, and appreciated throughout an entire stay.

THE BEST ANIMATION TEAM EVER!! ✨ : Eroi, Enci, Cathy, Diana, and Misho are absolute stars. (FANTASTIC FIVE) Their patience, warmth, and dedication with the kids around the pool and sports activities were extraordinary. The Mini Club kept our children thoroughly engaged with a fantastic variety of creative games, arts, crafts, and interactive play every single day and the evening mini-disco was a massive hit full of high energy, fun dancing, and endless smiles that our kids looked forward to with so much excitement all day long.

Perfect holiday
Our stay at Almyros Beach Resort & Spa was simply outstanding and exceeded all our expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and cleaned thoroughly every single day. A detail that deserves special recognition is the presence of mosquito screens on all windows and doors. Considering the number of mosquitoes on Corfu, this is something we rarely see in hotels and it made our stay much more comfortable. The food was among the best we have ever experienced during our travels, and we travel frequently. The quality of the products was exceptional, everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The variety was enormous, and every meal felt like a culinary experience. There was always something new to try, and every dish was prepared with great care. The à la carte restaurant deserves special praise. The view was absolutely breathtaking, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable evening. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there, and thanks to the wonderful staff, it became an unforgettable experience. Our lovely waitress took care of every detail and surprised us with a beautiful anniversary cake. Thank you for making our special day even more special. All the bars – the beach bars, the lobby bar, and Nectar Bar – were fantastic. The cocktails were delicious, and every bartender was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Their positive attitude added so much to the holiday atmosphere. Thank you all for your kindness and professionalism. And finally, the animation team... what can we say? Simply the best! Every single member of the team was friendly, energetic, welcoming, and always smiling. A huge round of applause for preparing your own evening shows and performances – they were absolutely amazing. You create a wonderful atmosphere and make guests feel involved and connected. Special thanks to Anna for the stretching and Pilates sessions. You are such a warm, positive, and cheerful person, and your energy is contagious. Aqua Gym sessions were another highlight. He is a wonderfully positive crazy guy who makes it impossible not to smile whenever he is around. His enthusiasm and sense of humor made every activity fun. And last but definitely not least, the yoga instructor. Your classes brought peace, relaxation, mindfulness, and balance to our holiday. The meditation sessions were exactly what many of us needed. Beyond your professionalism, you are a truly beautiful person inside and out. Talking with you and simply being in your presence was one of the greatest pleasures of this trip. There was always a reason why your classes were full – they were exceptional. I sincerely hope our paths cross again someday. To all the other animators whose names I unfortunately cannot remember – thank you as well. I was not able to participate in every activity, but that does not diminish your contribution in any way. Together, you have created what is undoubtedly one of the best entertainment teams we have ever encountered. Thank you, Almyros Beach Resort & Spa, for an unforgettable holiday. Wonderful holiday with the kids
We had a wonderful family holiday here - great value for money. Enormous buffet, lots of variety and high quality food. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lovely beach right outside the hotel.

Amazing experience
We arrived late but were taken care of brilliantly by reception and bar staff. Stunning location. The food and drinks were much better than we had expected for a budget holiday. Friendly atmosphere, nice bars and activities available. Walking to town is not far. Reception staff were great advisors to plan our activities and trips. Helpful and friendly warm service seemed second nature to all staff. Pool area and entertainment were great. A real gem. Thanks Staminata, Christos, Giorgios, Antonis and Anastasia especially.
