Wonderful Restful Mini Break
We have just returned from a wonderful mini break. On arrival we was offered a bungalow with a beautiful view of the ocean. All the staff are so friendly and work exceptionally hard. The food and drinks was excellent. Swimming pool was great. We didnt go to the entertainment but it certainly sounded like a lot of fun. We couldn't fault the hotel and was sad to leave. The hotel is now closed for refurbishment. I hope the staff get to keep their jobs x thank you x

Restaurant -Dirty, inadequate and substandard food -The biggest challenge was finding clean glasses, cutlery and plates. I selected 15 wine glasses before I found a clean one to use. -Flies in the food servery -The staff used the same ‘cleaning cloths’ to clean tables, chairs, plates, etc - they used it to clean everything BUT they never used any cleaning products or rinsed it out. -Awful wine, cheap and undrinkable. -I didn’t think it was possible to go wrong with a breakfast, until I visited here. I had two pieces of toast for the holiday as everything else was awful. -Lacked atmosphere as most people were also dissatisfied with the food -We ended up eating out for the last 5 consecutive days.
Beach Bar -Servery was filthy, the plastic covers for the food were fit for the bin -‘Cleaning Cloth’ used to wash all the dirty plates and wipe the dirty surfaces -Plastic glasses not properly washed, just rinsed under the tap for a few seconds. -wasps everywhere, including inside the drink bottles, that were served to guests. They just picked the wasps out of our drinks. -Servery didn’t serve food for approximately half of the holiday owing to bad weather
- the covered seating area wasn’t waterproof, it leaked the rain water in, drowning all the tables, chairs ,pool table and peoples belongings. After the storm, the staff sat and watched hotel guests get tissues out from the toilets to dry the tables and chairs- unwilling to help in any way.
-Bins never emptied and smelt rotten -When the weather was so bad that they didn’t serve food, the restaurant was only open limited times of the day, so there were time of the day where you couldn’t get food. -Beach bar soft drink machine broke on the second day of the holiday, so you had to return to the main hotel if you wanted a soft drink or a mixer. They didn’t repair this for a week. -Staff using the bottles of spirits to break up the ice to use in our drinks. The bottles had been sat on a filthy, sticky surface, covered in wasps. -Broken sunbeds and chairs -Broken sun umbrellas
Pool area -The pool toilet was about an inch deep in water ( I’m assuming it was water), you needed welling-ton boots to use them. They were filthy, not cleaned throughout the days. We returned to our room to use the bathroom as the facilities at the pool were so disgusting. -We visited the kids pool and wanted to order a drink, we were told by the pool attendant that the bar man was on his lunch, so we couldn’t have one. -No food available
6th Floor Bar -Dirty glasses -Bright blue bead found in my drink on the first night -Lacked atmosphere -Staff couldn’t be bothered
Reception Area -The water jug in the reception area, available for guest to help themselves had brown fur grow-ing on the bottom of the jug.
- 4 star rating was so they can charge a higher rate of resort tax, this hotel wasn’t worth of a 2 star rating!!!
-Damaged stairs, loose trim that people could trip over

Nice family break in Corfu
Week at Louis Ionian Sun
Stayed with my family at the Louis Ionian Sun for one week on an all inclusive basis. The hotel was on first impressions pleasant. It is rated a 3 star plus & I would say it is about right. It is above basic but far from amazing. It is pretty dated & could do with updating.
The rooms are comfortable enough with lovely sea views. We had a third floor room. There was a kettle for making tea & coffee. There was also a fridge which was handy to keep pop & water.
Dining, the dining room was busy & had the usual selfish guests who had no consideration respect or good hygiene, this is not the hotels fault of course. The food was decent & was replenished throughout dining. The food at the beach bar was not great. There was a fridge with ice cream for guests to help themselves to which was delicious. The pool bar was ok, there was a lot of wasps, especially around the soft drinks again not the hotels fault.
There was a small shop at the hotel which sold essentials, it was useful. The beach is a short walk away either through a tunnel or across a busy road. The sun beds were past their best, some dangerous with sharp metal which could cause serious injury. The beach is very stony as is the sea, you definitely need sea shoes.
Corfu town is accessible from a bus stop over the road from the hotel, it is cheap but over crowded & an experience. We caught a cab back & it cost around €50.

Great time but unsure if we’d go again.
This hotel is so difficult to rate. At first glance the hotel looks dated and needs a facelift but if you delve deeper into what the service is like it becomes more attractive. Would we go back - I’m still not sure but we did enjoy our stay. This was our very first all inclusive holiday for a week - booked last minute and we really enjoyed ourselves. Prior to booking we checked the reviews and we saw awards and positive feedback with the odd negative response. So we went ahead and booked it. Once we booked, I started to see a lot more negative reviews so I was a little worried. However, the people and the service provided helped save the day. The decor is very dated and the furniture has seen better days but if I’m 100% honest it didn’t bother me as we were more bothered about the facilities such as the pools and the food. We mainly stuck to the adult pool and beach for swimming. In the pool there were keep fit classes and sports played which involved the whole family. Sara and Elvis did an excellent job with this. The beach is lovely but very stoney so take some beach shoes and most definitely a snorkel mask. Our kids and ourselves loved spotting the fish.
The food was really good and there was a variety of- I’d say there was something for everyone. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The entertainment team were amazing and again Sara, Elvis and the rest of them were loved by the kids. The mini disco was good fun and we made sure we got there in plenty of time to secure a spot every night.
If you have booked to go here you will have a great time if you’re not too bothered about the decor but the jury is still out if I’d return.

The best Hotel, the best food, the best place, the best costumer service, family friendly, i recommend everyone to visit. 👌👌 i’m willing to go again on 2025, the price is great, the food amazing, the only thing i want to add is the beach 🏖️ Bad need to upgrade. Thank you 🙏
