This is my second visit to the Mariela Hotel Apartments which I recommend for peaceful time in a great location. Their is a good bus route to get to other destinations to explore amazing places in Cyprus with it's history. The views are stunning to see the landscape from the hotel if your in a particular apartment higher up. The village has plenty to offer with excellent restaurants, and gift shops so don't miss this chance to have a fantastic time here. People put bad reviews in which I don't understand, and they need to stop petty nonsense with small mindedness because the owners, and staff do an excellent job to welcome you to have a pleasant stay with them for an experience of a lifetime.

Great hotel in Polis
Great hotel,run by a nice couple ,cleaner comes most days,massive car park,5 minutes walk from the centre,looks like it has had a recent refurb,new air-con,2 decent pools,enjoyed our stay,good value,if we ever go to Polis we would use the Mariela again

Mariela Stay
We have just returned home from our second visit this year to Mariela. We have been coming here for over 20 years and always get a warm welcome from Pambos and Eleni. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we are always well looked after. The rooms are cleaned every day but Sunday and the cleaners are amazing. Our sheets and towels were changed every other day. I sit on the balcony every morning and the cleaners are always busy in the pool area cleaning the sun beds and the chairs and tables in the bar. The pool is cleaned daily. We have made many friends at Mariela over the years and look forward to meeting up with them again. It is a short walk to the bars and restaurants in Polis of which there is a good selection. A 2 euro bus ride takes you to Latchi where there are more shops and restaurants and the opportunity to take a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon. We think of Mariela as our second home and hope to be back next year. Trish and Dave

Great value for money
Lovely clean apartments owners are friendly. 5 minute walk from town square so very central. Two pools that are great for a swim. Apartments are cleaned most days. Quiet location but nice selection of restaurants to eat out in. Bakery across the road and a supermarket round the corner. Hoping to return next year.

Great place to stay
Great apartment. They were spotless thanks to the great work from the house keepers. Rubbish taken away every day and apartment cleaned and linen and towels changed every 2 days. Washing up liquid, loo rolls, soap and shower gel provided. 2 swimming pools with plenty of sun beds. Bar for drinks and snacks until 3:30pm. Great location and peaceful. 5 minute walk to Polis where you can get a bus to other places for 2 euros or 6.50 for a day pass (recommended). Fantastic bakery opposite apartment selling cakes, bread and hot food from 11am. The hot food is cooked fresh every day, is reasonably priced and most importantly delicious. The only negative comment Is not enough coat hangers and the tv is so outdated. Thank goodness for Netflix and an iPad. Also it says there is a safe but it is just a cash box which can easily be taken away. Air conditioning is an extravagant 5 euros a night. This isn’t very transparent on the Mariela website. The apartments only have air conditioning in the bedroom and a fan in the lounge area which doesn’t make any difference as it circulates warm air. But negative comments aside, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back there. It’s such a convenient location and the apartments. Although basic are very nice.
