Combining the wonderfully laid-back quality of a true family-run hotel with the facilities and amenities you'd associate with a big name chain, the Veronica Hotel is quite the surprise. Situated in attractive gardens, and benefitting from an excellent location, close to shops and restaurants, it's a great choice for anyone holidaying in Paphos. And Paphos is a great choice of resort for anyone holidaying in Cyprus. It's got everything you want from this part of the world – the history, the culture, the sand, the sea and the altogether different pace of life, all wrapped up in one fascinating city.
Set in its own wonderful gardens, the Veronica Hotel combines charm and style to great effect. Inside, cool stone tiled floors throughout give it that distinctive Mediterranean feel. While its soft furnishings and comfortable chairs give it the feeling of a comfortable home away from home too.
The outdoor swimming pool is fringed with trees, giving it a Caribbean feel, and offering lots of cool shade to relax in, pre or post swim. We certainly recommend an afternoon dip, a snooze and a little something from the pool-side snack bar or some time in the games room.
Then if you fancy a siesta, you'll find your room wonderfully conducive to a pleasant afternoon nap as well as a peaceful night's sleep. The clean, white walls and tiled floors keep that fresh cool vibe going, and make each room a quiet haven away from the holiday hustle and bustle.
All twin-bedded, en suite rooms are air conditioned and feature a private balcony. And a little part of every day should certainly be spent on the balcony with a cool drink in hand. Rooms also feature phone, TV and hairdryer. A mini fridge is available on request and a safe is available with a fee.
As well as the poolside snack bar, the Veronica Hotel in Paphos features an expansive restaurant. The tall beams and crisp linen reinforce that lovely sophisticated air –while the cosy table settings make for all sorts of possibilities: romantic meals for two or big clusters of friends all enjoying dinner together.
The Veronica Hotel in Paphos is one of those special hotels. It's a place that will quickly feel like home. And it's a hotel you'll want to return to next time you're in Paphos. We're sure there will be a next time…
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This charming family run hotel is situated in attractive gardens near to a selection of shops and restaurants. The famous Paphos harbour and castle are also within easy reach. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with a pool side snack bar where you can relax and enjoy lunch.
Spent a lovely week while I was taking part in the Cyprus Marathon, and it genuinely exceeded our expectations for a budget‑friendly base. It offered plenty of small comforts that made our stay easy and relaxing.
What Could Be Improved: The hotel is a little dated.
A few more drawers in the room would have been useful.
Breakfast was decent, but the hot items could have been hotter.
What We Loved: The pool gets sun all day and the sunbeds were surprisingly comfortable — it would be a brilliant spot in high summer.
Our room had a firm, comfortable bed with good pillows, and the shower was consistently hot. We also enjoyed a lovely view over the pool and surrounding trees.
Staff were friendly throughout, and Petros the owner was always around with a hands‑on approach.
Maid service was reliable, the WiFi worked well, and even the hairdryer was powerful and conveniently placed near the mirror.
Practical touches like on‑site parking, a smooth‑running lift, and bedside sockets (even if only on one side) made things easier.
We hired a car for the week — plenty of free parking and only about 20 minutes from the airport, straight in off the main road.
It’s an easy 20‑minute walk to the harbour along the coastal boardwalk.
A few nearby bars and restaurants too: Pegasus was welcoming with good pub food, and Rimmini Italian served lovely meals.
Overall We didn’t pay for the Ritz, but for the price we paid, I’m very satisfied. The Veronica Hotel is simple, comfortable, and welcoming — exactly what we needed for a sunny week in Cyprus and a perfect base for the marathon. We were more than happy with our stay.
After having a dreadful experience with Airbnb we were fortunate to find the Veronica hotel. Wonderful welcome from Denisa at reception and Maria in house keeping. We ended up with a large king size bed in a lovely room with a sea view and pool view. It is a 3 star but the staff make it an absolute wonderful place that on our previous visit to a 4 star hotel couldn't compete with. The owner Mr Petros and manager Mr Lakis Evdoras were so helpful and always available. Constantly checking the hotel. Can we also thank Aiana at the bar and Jennifer in house keeping as they couldn't do enough for us. We can as guests and left as friends. We will be back
Very clean comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly and do not do enough to help us. Would definitely recommend staying here.
rated as a 3 star but I think its more like a 4 star. Excellent value. Large rooms. Big varied breakfast buffet. Large swimming pool / outdoor spaces/ lovely gardens full of fruit tress. Nice bar at the pool. Big bar area with pool table inside. Lot of public space. 5 minutes from beach. Would be nice to have a bottle of water in the room. let down by uncomfortable beds / pillows. Otherwise very good.
BE CAREFUL THEIR CLEANING LADIES TRIED TO STEAL OUR THINGS. It wasn't the first time we stayed there and lost stuff, but we thought had lost them, but yesterday it turned out to be the opposite. They should take responsibility. Great disappointment from the hotel staff and even from the hotel owner, during our stay at the hotel on 23/05/2026 for one night. Upon our arrival we knew that the next morning check-out was at 12 noon. In the morning we left the hotel and when we return at 10:30 and as soon as we opened the room door all of our personal belongings were missing and the room was clean without us doing any check-out and without allowing anyone to touch our personal belongings. We started searching and found a cleaning lady who pretended not to know anything, and then she started giving us our things from bags that she had thrown away or hiding somewhere, specifically some of our thing was in a basket with used toilet paper. We immediately asked the cleaning lady to call the management and the owner. Once in the room we reported the incident and the answer we got was that it's okay since we're stepping outside with our shoes on dirt. After many discussions with the owner and after we mentioned that we were going to file a complaint, he said that he would reimburse us for our money. And when I say our money, he also told us the value of some of our things at the cost of 250€. We packed up what was left and headed to the reception. When we got there to check out and get our compensation, the girl at the reception told us, thank you very much for your stay and have a good bye. So the girl at the reception was not aware of the incident, we reported the incident to the girl and she called the owner, when the owner came, he said sorry for the inconvenience, apologized and told us to good bye and the only thing he could do is give us one night free to stay at the hotel. We told him that there is no chance of us going again to stay over there!!After destroying our property worth of around 500€ they only reimbursed us with 80€ that we already had paid for the room!
