This enchanting hotel is nestled in a peaceful area of Paphos, around the main tourist area and just a few paces from the nearest beach. Guests will find the nearest restaurants, bars and nightspots in the immediate vicinity of the property. Located a stone's throw from the Tombs of the Kings, the resort offers history and culture as well as the advantage of being away from the commotion of the busy harbour and the old and new town centres and Paphos Castle, all of them within 1.5 km, while golfing fans will find the nearest golf course just a 20-minute drive away. The accommodation units are colourful, bright and fitted with cosy furniture and modern comforts to create a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The lovely restaurant offers Greek and international dishes in a carefree ambience and excellent service. This snug complex also features an indoor swimming pool with a poolside snack bar and a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Personally I feel Tasmaria deserves a lot of praise. Ahead of our trip I was concerned by some of the negative reviews that had been left but I can safely say my experience was not the same.
We arrived late in the evening to find that the check-in process had been completed for us, making it very simple to get our key and get some rest.
The room was clean with fresh sheets, the bed was slightly on the firmer side (which was good for me) and the aircon worked very well (there is a €8 charge per night for this). The room itself was typical of a budget friendly hotel, my only criticism is I would prefer electronic locks, as a keycard is much easier to carry than a physical key.
Throughout the stay the staff were incredibly friendly, always greeting when entering / leaving the hotel. The owner was specifically very friendly, and was very helpful with our needs.
Location wise the hotel is perfect, the bus interchange is right next door making travelling very simple. Despite being right next door, I noticed little to no noise and was not disturbed by it at any point. The ongoing construction is also next to not noticeable.
The hotel offers a secured room to leave luggage following checkout, which is at a very generous 11:30AM. There is also complimentary shower room where you can book a 30 minute window to freshen up, which I was very impressed with as have previously not had this offered at both 4 and 5 star hotels.
Overall, a very positive experience at the hotel and one I would definitely use again. It is budget friendly, and excels in parts above what would be expected.
The Tasmaria is fabulous, location is excellent rooms were very comfortable spacious . Cleaned daily . And well equipped even have an air frier and washing machine !! Not that we used either. Swimming pool was clean and a lovely temperature , sun bed were excellent snd no one hogged them or put towels out at the crack of dawn . Absolutely perfect and definitely would book again .
Very disappointing experience. We were charged an extra €40 for 4 nights for air conditioning, but this was never mentioned on the Booking.com listing or before we checked in. Hidden charges like this are completely unacceptable and made us feel misled. The lack of transparency ruined our stay. If extra fees apply, they should be clearly disclosed before guests book, not added afterwards. I would not recommend staying here due to the unexpected charges and poor customer experience.
After seeing some of the old reviews,we didnt know what to expect,as we didnt originally book tasmaria, but our travel agent, changed our booking...but we were very surprised ,when we got there..on arrival the staff were friendly and helpfull, the checkin was easy, the rooms are basic but comfertable,ok sometimes getting the electric to work with the fob,was a bit hit and miss, but after giving it a wiggle we got it working..the pool is spotless and plenty of sunbeds to go round ( no 9am towel racing to watch lol)..pool bar good, friendly staff..overall we really ejoyed our stay here, and will definatly be back..great location, right next to the bus station, great local resturants and bars and not too far from the beach..only negative is having to pay €8 a day for aircon and thats for just 1 room...but overall we would definatly recommend staying here...
Stayed here in july for a week for my birthday. On arrival at checkin the manager realised from my passport it was my birthday so then he upgraded my room free of charge. I had a fantastic stay in a beautiful suite very clean complex the staff were very friendly and helpful i had no problem getting a sunbed also situated in a great location. I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone who is thinking of coming to paphos.
