Princessa Vera Hotel Apartments

Yet again another fantastic stay . .separate bathroom (bath&shower) btwin beds and kitchenette area . Kitchenette has a microwave , fridge ,kettle and cutlery & cups. Breakfast plenty of choice cold and hot food , variety of teas , coffee and juice or water . Great location to all areas . Near Mall , tomb of the king's and 10 minute stroll to harbour .The staff are all lovely . I would highly recommend it !!

Good location, close to bars restaurants mall beach, not much of a atmosphere, staff nice, bar decent,rooms decent size cleaned every day, breakfast was same everyday smoked sausages cold beans, scrambled eggs,streaky bacon so unfortunately we ate out to get a hot meal.

Just to make people aware all rooms have adjoining doors in them which some maybe ok with unfortunately not for me, no mention of this on any webpages ie hotels or jet 2 had I known I wouldn't have booked this hotel, there's no privacy you can hear everything from adjoining rooms due to the doors being a standard one, we were woken by the next room guests making a cup of tea/ coffee with the spoon being stirred around the cup, talking which wasn't loud, chairs being dragged across floors,using shower asked for a change of room which we eventually got but once again 2-3 later other guests arrived and once again the noise was terrible woke 3 times with music being played at 6.30 am loud voices at one point we woke thinking they were in our room, supposed to be soundproof I would beg to differ on that. On day of leaving at 7.30 am we had asked at reception to keep our room but were told there were no rooms to have,when handing in our key at 10.30 we overheard a couple ask if there's a room to keep on and surprise they were offered a room until 6pm when we questioned this at reception they could not give us a reason why we hadn't been offered. We have stayed here 3-4 times in the past but sorry I will not be using the Princessa Vera again.

We arrived at midnight and not even offered water or snack was just given the room key with no welcome. Upon opening our room door we were shocked at the room we were given. I had confirmation that the room I had booked was a ground floor room with pool view. The room we were given was on the 1st floor at the end of the building which had a building site and a busy road out of both windows. I went straight to reception and told them there had been a mistake and showed them my booking. That person I spoke to told me as it was late if we wouldn't mind staying in the current room for that night but if we came to reception in the morning they would move us. We did this and that morning we had to deal with another member of staff who told us they don't know why we were told that and there were no other rooms and there was nothing they could do. So we put up with the room which had noise non stop day and night from building supplies being delivered throughout the night causing us to have no sleep. Bins being emptied at 4am cement being delivered at 5am daily. I complained and others did too and the staff didn't care. Housekeeping try and got into our rooms at 8.30am everyday day which was annoying and thy just come in. The pools aren't like the pictures they are dirty with lots of broken sunbeds. We would just go to other hotels to enjoy our holiday and will never be returning to the hotel again. The evening that we left the staff just took our key and didn't ask how our stay was or holiday they literally just took the key and starting talking to eachother. I would advise anyone who is thinking of staying here to think twice. Only plus was that it is very close the shopping centre but alot from that do not stay here.
