Paphos Gardens Holiday Resort

This was my first solo trip to Cyprus and the location of this wonderful hotel was perfect. Walking distance to local amenities and Paphos night life, meters from the beach and a bus stop that can take you anywhere around the island. The hotel itself was lovely, very clean with immaculate rooms. My bed and pillows were very comfy and the rooms had good aircon, I couldn’t hear other guests and had a great night sleep each night. All the staff were so friendly and helpful Alexandra, Leonidas and Mr Yannis were exceptional at taking care of their guests and always happy to help. The food choice was amazing I loved every breakfast, lunch and dinner I had with lots of choice! As a solo traveller I was very happy at the hotel around the pool and on the evenings, the relaxed, friendly atmosphere was perfect. I made friends and had a right laugh during to this. Great value for money, so much so I have booked to come back with my mum and best mate and stay again in October, I can’t wait! Don’t hesitate to book this hotel, it’s fabulous!!

Location is perfect and super close to the beach. The staff created a really welcoming atmosphere, they were all really friendly. The apartment was basic but had everything you needed for a relaxed stay. The area was quiet and really clean. The rooms were cleaned daily which was perfect with all the sand about from the beach. The on site facilities looked great, we went to the beach but the pools looked great and perfect for people not looking to venture too far to the water.

Just back from 2 weeks at Paphos Gardens, where we had an amazing stay. The hotel is a little old and tired, but clean and comfortable and the staff are very cheerful and helpful. If there were any issues they were quickly resolved - especially Susil and Roulla, who were both extremely helpful.

It's location is a little outside the main town, but there are nearby shops and you can catch a bus from the bottom of the road. There are some sandy beaches just on the other side of the road, only a few minutes walk away.

The food is very good, especially the evening meal with lots of variety and the deserts are way better than the bought-in mushy ones we usually get. Lots of lovely cakes - coconut, mango, cheesecake, black forest, baklava's and amazing walnut cake - you name it they made it. They have a lady who makes them and we made sure to tell her how good she was. The restaurant manager, Stelios, is also really nice and helpful. He told us about the lovely cheesecake and we told him it had all gone before we could get any. He said he would have a word with the desert lady and, sure enough, we got some cheesecake the next evening. My wife also told him she had been after some of the local commandaria wine - so he went off and brought her a glass - nothing is too much trouble. Just a warning - if you are on a diet do not come to this hotel - you will certainly put on some weight.

They also listen to previous guests comments and used them to make improvements. Two in particular are allowing all-inclusive guests to use the bar at the smaller pool and also being able to have ice cream between lunch and dinner.

There is also a nearby animal sanctuary, which we and several other guests went to see - worth a look if you like cats, dogs or donkeys. You can go in and see the animals after 11am. We left a donation as well as some cat and dog food. If you like cats there a lots of lovely cats at the hotel - especially one who said hello to us every time we came back from our evening meal - we bought some biscuits to reward him or her. The main issue that the hotel could possibly result to improve the experience, would be to have designated smoking areas. We both have asthma and constantly had to move to escape the fumes from the people who sat down and started smoking nearby. Smoking is only allowed outside, but that includes the outside tables of the restaurant and around the pools, which made it unpleasant at times.
