Mayfair Gardens

Fantastic experience very friendly and helpful staff including the entertainment staff sanni she is the most wonderful and friendly young lady I have come across on all our holidays would definitely recommend and come back for future holidays Thank you

3rd visit here once again everything Sanni is an amazing entertainer

We have just arrived back from mayfair hotel for two week break. Before we arrived we had changed our room due to some reviews we saw online about mayfair and where moved to Mayfair gardens. We contacted the hotel before arrival to ensure we had a 2 bedroom apartment due to having a 3 year old with us. We where notified that we had a 1 bedroom family room which wasnt ideal for our family. We did say we where not happy about this. When we arrived we where told which way to go to check in but with it being dark (1am) we found it difficult to navigate the grounds with three suitcases hand luggage and a 3 yr old in tow. No offers to assist to the rooms from the reception staff. The lift to the forth floor when we eventually found it had seen better days and felt extremely unsafe - we didnt use that lift again for the rest of the holiday. When we got in the room it did infact have one bedroom. So that then meant that at 1am we where having to move furniture around in order to get the single bed in the bedroom so our child could sleep in there and us adults could sit in the balcony of an evening. We thought about asking to move rooms but since we wouldn't be in the room other than to sleep or sit on balcony at the end of the night to persevered. The view from the balcony was not great, looked like staff quarters opposite and was quite noisy in the morning with deliveries. The room itself wasnt the cleanest and there where stains on the mattresses which we obviously noticed when we moved furniture.

On positives the pool area was lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds so there is no need to rush to put towels on sunbeds. We where able to get loungers in front of the pool each day and we didnt put towels down until 930. The kids entertainment wasnt the greatest, they did a "morning song" infront of one of the pools and mini disco in the evenings, I dont know if its because its approaching then end of the season but it seemed the kids entertainment seemed "over it" and there wasnt much get up and go from them to get the kids involved, that they where just going through the motions to get it done.

The food for all inclusive was nice with a different theme each night and plenty of selection. The all inclusive drinks where not great either with the Vodka being 17% proof with then having mixer added didnt seem worth it.

Location wise it is close to bus links and if you are ok walking in the heat it is a 20-25minute walk to the harbour which is lovely. There are also some bars near by which are nice. It is also a 20 minute walk to the market town which is lovely too.

Overall we did have a nice stay because we always make the best of what we get but the amount we paid for this holiday I definitely would say it is not worth the money which is a shame.

We went out a few nights to local bars, did boat trip and jeep safari which we highly recommend. We also did the archaeological walk up to the lighthouse which was really interesting and also visited coral bay to the beach which is a 30minute bus journey.
