This hotel is situated directly on the beach (around 200 m away) and in the middle of the tourist district of Paphos. There are countless shops, bars, nightclubs, taverns and restaurants to be found in the immediate vicinity. Kato Paphos is around 3 km away and Paphos, with its harbour, is 4 km from the hotel. Links to the public transport network are located directly in front of the hotel.
Last renovated in 2020, this hotel comprises of 422 rooms. The facilities include a 24-hour reception and 6 lifts. There is also a café, a shop, a bar, a nightclub, a games room, a TV room, an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area, free wi-fi connection and car hire. There is also a car park as well as a children's playground. A kids' club for those aged from 3 to 12 years of age is also available. The rooms come with a bathroom with hairdryer. In addition, there is a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a mini-fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, free pool/beach towels, air conditioning, a hire safe, central heating and a balcony or terrace.
Guests will find a swimming pool, a children's paddling area as well as a snack bar, a terrace with parasols and sun loungers. Leisure facilities also include an indoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a steam room, a sauna, 2 tennis courts and a gym. Sport enthusiasts may play a game or table tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, darts, bocce or badminton. For an additional fee, guests may take advantage of the billiards/ snooker, green bowls, cards room for bridge players and massage service. On the beach, guests are offered sun loungers, parasols, windsurfing, canoeing and pedalos may also be tried out. An entertainment programme rounds off the diverse range of leisure offers. The hotel has a water park which is free for hotel guests only, and operates from first May—till End October. It includes 2 outdoor swimming pools, 2 outdoor kids pools, one of which has splash pool and accommodate 8 waters games.

Definitely a family hotel to visit
What a hotel the Phaethon beech is. I will write this review as honestly as i can. This holiday was a late booking as our holiday to Dubai had to be transferred to next year due to the conflict. We arrived at the hotel after a 15 minute transfer and were greeted by very friendly check in staff, we were shown to our room first impressions the room looked basic and a bit tired but spotlessly clean throughout including bedding and to be honest suited our needs. Two pool areas cleaned thoroughly every morning, sun beds were comfortable enough and plenty of them. We went for breakfast and wow we were greeted by Amad absolutely brilliant looked after us, as well as Handy, Sofia, Mosafa, and many more names I have forgotten. The food in this hotel is second to none, we have been all over the world on our holidays and I would say it is up there with cruising on P&O. We stopped for eleven nights, and were all inclusive and every day was a different choice all fresh food. The Chinese at dinner time is exceptional and a must try. I would like to thank the manager of the hotel Mr Rudí De Ponte and all his staff for a fantastic holiday experience and hope to see you in the future. Many thanks Terry & Lynne Robinson

A wonderful return after 20 years to The Phaethon!
Returning to Louis Phaethon after 20 years was a truly special experience. As a little girl, I came here every year with my family for several years, so returning after such a long time brought back so many wonderful memories.
The hotel itself was excellent, with great facilities, lovely food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Everything was very good, but what made our holiday truly exceptional was Ahmed.
From the moment we arrived, Ahmed went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional, always taking the time to check that everything was perfect for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he always had a smile on his face. His genuine care for guests shines through in everything he does.
What made our stay even more memorable was the effort Ahmed put into helping us celebrate my grandad’s birthday. He made the occasion feel really special and ensured that it was a day we would all remember. After returning to a hotel that means so much to me and my family, those thoughtful touches meant the world to us.
A special mention also goes to Hany, who looked after us so well in the evenings. He was always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, remembering our favourite drinks and making us feel at home every night. His excellent service and warm personality added even more to our holiday experience.
Ahmed’s kindness, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service turned a very good holiday into an unforgettable one. Together, Ahmed and Hany helped make our return after 20 years incredibly special, but Ahmed in particular went above and beyond and is a huge credit to Louis Phaethon.
Thank you to both Ahmed and Hany for helping us create new memories alongside the old ones. We will always remember your kindness and look forward to returning again soon.

Our Second Stay — Already Planning Our Third! Absolutely Outstanding Hotel
We’ve just returned from our second stay at Louis Phaethon Beach, and honestly, it’s even better than we remembered. We’re already planning our third visit — it’s that good.
From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was fantastic. The room attendants, restaurant staff, reception team and bar staff all work incredibly hard and always greet you with a smile. The service here is consistently excellent, which is why it’s so hard to consider going anywhere else.
A few special shout‑outs:
Ahmed (Restaurant) – Ahmed is an absolute credit to the hotel. Every meal came with a warm welcome, and he always made sure we were comfortable. Friends of ours visited a few weeks before us and spoke so highly of him — and he even remembered them! His kindness and attention really make a difference.
Rudi – Every time we’ve visited, Rudi has gone above and beyond to make sure our stay is perfect. He’s always smiling, always helpful, and he took time to chat with my son when he saw us to make sure he was happy. A genuinely lovely person.
Jamie & the Entertainment Team – They work incredibly hard, from daytime activities to the evening shows. The entertainment was brilliant throughout our stay, and you can see how much effort they put into keeping guests engaged and happy.
Lifeguards – A fantastic bunch! Super friendly, always up for a laugh, and they help create such a relaxed atmosphere around the pools.
Louis Phaethon Beach sets such a high standard that it’s genuinely difficult to want to stay anywhere else. The staff, the atmosphere, the service — everything is consistently exceptional. Thank you again for another amazing holiday. We can’t wait to come back!

Overall loved it
Amazing stay at this hotel. From the waiters to reception to the amazing entertainment team we truly enjoyed our stay. Everyone made sure you was always happy and the staff is what makes this hotel.
The downside to this hotel is the man behind the bar we got told he’s the head bar manager. He was rude towards guests and his staff. Refuse drinks to some guests but not others and was generally the let down to his team. The wonderful lady think her name was jeni was always picking up after him and apologised to not only me but other guests around the bar every evening.
The entertainment upstairs was one every other night while the team downstairs performed some amazing show. Some of the best we’ve seen at a hotel.
The food is the highlight to this hotel. The Chinese was always amazing and the restaurant was always hot and delicious food. It would be nice to have some bacon or sausage to make a sandwich during the day on the buffet but wasn’t a main concern
