This beachside hotel is on the outskirts of Paphos. Only a five minute drive from the resort's busy harbourside centre, and within easy walking distance of local shops and restaurants, the Louis Ledra Beach has an ideal beach location.
We do normally go to the Louis imperial which is faultless, due to recent price hikes we struggled to justify the extra cost. We decided to try the Louis Ledra, after all it’s a 4 star and had some favourable reviews - a mistake, first impression was good, nice reception clean, bright and airy.
Sadly our room S49 was a let down. The room smelt fusty, and had areas of mould on the ceilings, the pufett seat and the outer quilt cover and curtains.
When we returned to the room after being out all day the walls were wet and the sheets felt damp. The hairdryer didn’t work and the AC when used was a little noisy. We raised these concerns with reception who immediately replaced the faulty hairdryer, and reduced the noise of the air con. They said they would get house keeping to pay extra attention to the room. Flowers, and robe and slippers appeared which were a nice gesture. The fusty smell didn’t really improve and we noticed when packing some clean clothing never worn smelt.
When we were checking out we noticed the TUI rep. I initially wasn’t going to complain and then thought, no we need to think of other guests that may be allocated that room and invited her to come with us to look and have a snell to she what she thought.
We have say, she was amazing, a credit to the organisation TUI, so please look after her!
Are concerns were taken very seriously and all noted with photographs. The response from TUI overall has been excellent.
I feel sad writing this review TBH but felt it necessary not for complaining sake or to try get compensation, were not like that, but just so this can be addressed to improve other guests experience .
Room wise, In contrast we were given a courtesy room 124, yes it overlooked the beach so probably had a premium charge but it was absolutely lovely, no smell, well decorated and what you should expect with a 4 star hotel.
Now for the good points, the food was very good, plenty of it and a good choice, the adult pool was lovely and relaxing ( just a shame not a little bit bigger) and the hotel location is really good for a nice walk to the harbour. The vast majority of staff were very nice, working tirelessly for the guests.
Would we go back, probably not, we’re not snobs but lesson learnt, you do pay for what you get.
Very nice hotel, close to the beach. Good food and service everywhere. Big thank you to friendly Mohamed Ragab for very good service in the lobby.
We stayed in the Louis Ledra as a family with our grown up children in their early 20's. The location was excellent, only 20 minutes from the airport and a 40 minute pleasant stroll into Paphos Harbour, buses were also available from outside the hotel. It's one of the few hotels along the strip which has direct access to a sandy beach, although it is rocky in places, so remember your beach shoes! The schools had gone back, so there were always sunbeds to be found, but there are the usual people bagging their preferred spot as early as 6am! Sunbeds and umbrellas were also available for guests on the beach. The food was plentiful and varied. Lots of choice at the bars too. We didn't take part in the entertainment programme but there always seemed to be something going on with live music in the evenings. Our rooms had side sea views, overlooking the pool, which was perfect. They were cleaned daily to a good standard. Parts of the hotel are in need of an upgrade but in general the hotel was as I expected for a 4 star in Cyprus for the price we paid. The service and the staff were always ready to help and we had a lovely stay.
Returned last week from our first ever trip to Cyprus and an amazing stay at The fantastic Louis Ledra Beach Hotel. We were met on arrival in the hotel reception with free drinks and snacks and smiles from friendly staff after a long flight. We were a family of 4 and booked two double rooms both exceptionally clean with a free mini bar and beautiful sea views. The food in the restaurant was exceptional with a different themed cuisine night every night and I was blown away by how much choice there was. A highlight was the entertainment provided by the exceptional Hotel entertainment team. Daytime activities included pool aqua and pool yoga, beach volleyball, table tennis, and quizzes. In in the evening there was a different act every night in the outdoor stage area including an amazing variety of singers, dancers and comedians and magicians, all very appropriate for a family audience. Maksym from the entertainment team went out of his way to make sure everyone had a great time and always had a warm smile and made everyone feel so welcome. We will definitely be returning 😊
Our stay at Louis Ledra Beach was nothing short of extraordinary. Everything from check in, to check out was smooth, seamless and a complete pleasure. The room, cleaned every day, had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the sea which made it perfect for watching the sunset. Every single member of the staff met us with smiles and banter. A special thank you to Alina, Ali, Nicolas, Athena, Joanna and the ladies behind reception for answering all questions and doing their absolute best to make our holiday perfect. A beautiful touch was Lefki's salon. Lefki took myself and my partner in last minute and gave us both fantastic haircuts, and was a wonderful woman to talk to (thank you Lefki, for sorting out my bird's nest). Every inch of the hotel is spotless, and the food and drinks cannot be faulted. There is always somewhere to eat if you miss a meal, though I wouldn't recommend missing dinner, which amazed us every night. To my partner's delight, the hotel showed the English football league, so he scampered away to watch that while I enjoyed the pool (and free-flowing drinks). We tried the gym, which was acceptable, however could use a few upgrades for the more avid gym-goers. Instead, we found our exercise-fix in the volleyball match which happened every afternoon and left me ready for a nap!
Once again, thank you to all of the incredible staff for making our stay unforgettable!
