To be honest if I could give zero points, I would! I can’t even describe what a load of junk this hotel is. The lady who welcomed us was desinterested in us, and the room reflected that sentiment. Old, run down, in DESPERATE NEED of an upgrade, mould in the bathroom. Airco? Cost you extra. If you happen to have a bootle of soda, they can fine you for bringing in a beverage from outside ( where’s the fridge in your room for then)?
I really like this traditional hotel with a beautiful taverna and garden. I will recommend this place. The breakfast was perfect, and I will try to get back in the future, with my family and/friends for holidays. The room was nice too. Thank you very much :)
I booked a room for two nights through Booking.com, thinking it was affordable and well-located. Unfortunately, my experience leads me to think that the management could be voluntarily engaging in deceptive practices to exploit customers who book through Booking.com.
Upon arrival, they acknowledged my reservation and gave me a room. However, when I checked out, they claimed they "could not see the payment." I showed them proof of payment, but they still forced me to pay again. After months of numerous calls and empty promises from June to September—assurances like "Don't worry, we don't steal from people"—I realized it was possibly deliberate. In the end, I was advised by the receptionist to send an email. When I asked for the email address, I was told they didn’t know it and that I should check the booking details. Conveniently, they also claimed not to speak English well when it came to emails!
Apart from this, the service was mediocre and not particularly friendly. Conclusion: Avoid this place at all costs.
Special mention: Booking.com's customer assistance was entirely useless, as they subcontract to a company called Bedsonline.com.
I had my wedding reception here 20 years ago. Wonderful memories and fantastic photos in beautiful authentic setting. I've since come back twice to visit. Each time had a very warm welcome from owner George. Looking forward to visit in the future.
I had a dreadful experience with that hotel. The pictures posted on their website do not reflect the reality. I booked a room with 2 beds, but got a room with 1 bed too small for 2 persons and with a worn-out matrass. The room was dark, dingy and with a view on an outdoor refuse area It is clearly not a 3-star hotel. The hotelier and personnel were lackadaisical. I had to find another hotel on the spot, and I never got my money back.
After my holidays I filed a claim before the European Consumer Centre (ECC). This hotelier never responded to the ECC enquiries. However, the ECC keeps a record of all claims and might investigate at some point.
