Kefalos Beach Tourist Village

We had a week's stay at Kefalos Village Beach at the end of July- start of August. We were actually booked in for my friends wedding which was unfortunately cancelled but my fiancé and I still decided to have our holiday and I am so glad we did!

I hadn't really looked at the hotel much as it was chosen for us but I was really pleased with our stay!

We arrived really late but we were welcomed instantly by the very attentive staff, check in was nice and quick as we were the only ones arriving at that time. We were then escorted to our room on a little golf buggy and the member of staff pointed out all the key parts to the hotel before dropping us off to our room.

Well our room was absolutely incredible, I was amazed! We had a one bedroom apartment which was a really decent size. It was all very clean and had everything you needed, including a bath which you don't usually get aborad! We were All Inclusive so didn't need the kitchen but it's great to have a fridge to keep drinks cold and a sink to wash bits up! Obviously the time of year meant it was very hot in Cyprus but it the air conditioning was fabulous and worked very fast and there was a unit in the bedroom and one in the living room. It was lovely having so much space whilst away and we spent a bit more time in the room than we would usually!

The rest of the hotel was all very clean, the reception area was very modern and was nice to have a drink in there sometimes. There were plenty of sunbeds, most of this were on grassy areas near the beach. It wasn't an issue for us, but there is only one swimming pool, and a tiny kids pool, which got very busy and the sunbeds around it were always taken early in the morning. We didn't mind as we don't have kids but that could be a factor to consider if you do! I liked the calm sunbeds overlooking the ocean. We don't swim in the sea but that seemed to be very popular too! Just be careful on the rocks as I did slip when I wandered down there and cut my arm! What I will say though is the hotel staff were amazing and gave me first aid attention straight away!

We were all inclusive but this hotel has a mix of guests with different boards. I thought the drinks offer was amazing with a great range of cocktails that I enjoyed making my way through! The food was tasty, it was just a smaller offer than I'm used to on an all inclusive and do prefer to have more options. The hummus and olives were delicious! We also ate in the hotels A La Carte restaurant one night, you have to pay for it, but it was well worth it with sunset views and the steak was probably the best steak I've ever eaten!

The hotel has daily and nightly entertainment (apart from Wednesdays) which is really popular. We did a quiz one night and played Bingo which was great fun!

For me, the highlight of the hotel was it's location. It is great being right on the beach but also it's a short walk from local shops and restaurants and only 10 minutes walk from the Tombs of the Kings which we went to one morning and it was so interesting! We also got a cab to Paphos Harbour one evening which isn't far and definitely worth a visit. We also did a day trip through TUI as well where we got to see a lot of historical sites, well worth it!

All the staff at Kefaols Village are super friendly and really help make your stay a pleasant one, I would definitely return but maybe not at the hottest time of year!

AMAZING PLACE! The online photos really don’t do it justice, the staff are amazing, the pool is amazing, the beach being right there is amazing! We haven’t gone all inclusive so can’t comment on the buffet as we like to explore in the evenings but the pool restaurant is amazing for lunch, the child portions are cheap and huge and I highly recommend the steak sandwich. We just took 3 x e-scooters out to the harbour and had drinks along the way at sunset - we’re 2 days into a 10 day holiday, we’ve done the camargue, Kenya, Zanzibar, Italy and Morocco more recently - mix of package and all “exclusive” as my son calls them and he announced today this is the best holiday he’s ever been on. And we haven’t even got on a boat yet. Ps. Take a bus up to coral bay you will not regret it. Back for another glorious day by the pool tomorrow before our boat excursions begin! Paphos has always been one of our favourite holiday destinations Especially Kefalos Beach This being our 5th visit! Check in went smoothly and we were shown to our room Unfortunately it was a little underwhelming we’ve previously stayed in better apartments on previous occasions The bathroom was tight especially for my husband who has a 46”chest & shoulders to match ! The view partially overlooked the building work opposite As we knew the layout of kefalos we made the best of it We stayed on a B & B basis which soon became repetitive There’s so much could be offered as an alternative ie pain au choc ,cinnamon whirls ,waffles,doughnuts,muffins a little more flare Salads even mixed leaves, red onion would be great occasionally To keep guests keen on a daily basis Rooms were cleaned daily along with fresh towels All staff were friendly and polite A welcome bonus was a familiar face Rico who has been with kefalos a number of years & still doing a good job with his fire show . Also the lady in the shop remembered us ! On the whole we had a very relaxing holiday! The surrounding area has numerous restaurants and shops along with the kings mall and added bonus 👍 Cyprus is a beautiful place with the most stunning weather and climate Hopefully we will return if only for location weather and a bit of nostalgia However kefalos needs to improve in certain areas as mentioned I’ll be sure to email ahead of room request next time!!
