There's so much to see and do in Paphos. It's one of the essential places to stay in any holiday to Cyprus. And when you stay at the Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel you'll have easy access to the beach, the harbour, the archaeological sites and the great shops too. But as well as all of that, you'll have the amenities of the hotel itself to enjoy and they really are worth writing home about.
For a start, there are three amazing freshwater pools to choose from (as well as an adults Pool, two paddling pools and a heated indoor pool (heated Nov - Apr).
The hotel's Elixir Spa is another highlight. At the Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel every consideration is given to making your stay relaxing and invigorating and nothing invigorates quite like one of their massages – followed by a wonderfully relaxing aromatherapy treatment. (There are 2 waterslides too for those who fancy a different kind of invigorating experience.)
If you fancy a bit of sporty action, you can take your pick from mini golf to bowls to tennis or table tennis. Or you can work up quite an appetite in the hotel gym. It's particularly well-stocked so you can continue your customary exercise regime, or enjoy a bit of a light holiday work-out to burn off a few extra pudding calories! With such a great selection of places to eat, all in the hotel, you'll certainly want to take full advantage. From far Eastern cuisine to local favorites, from a la carte dining to four course meals and the Zephyr adults only a la carte, there’s a menu and a setting for everyone. From the cocktail bar, lounge bar (open to the discretion of Management) rooftop bar ( adult only for Elite class) to the beach bar and adults pool bar to room service, you can choose what, where and when you eat.
It's certainly hard to resist the idea of a little room service now and then, particularly when you return to your room after a busy day. All guests' rooms are spacious and air conditioned for your maximum comfort. And we really do recommend a little light supper or drinks on your private balcony. (Side and full sea view rooms are also available, affording excellent views out over the Mediterranean.)
All rooms are ensuite and come with air-conditioning (May-Oct), central heating (Nov-Apr) satellite TV, phone, tea and coffee making facilities, espresso machine, fridge, hairdryer, minibar on request with charge, free WiFi, free safety deposit box. Lovely Stay
lovely stay, the waiters accommodated for my dietary requirements especially chef Miss Donna, beautiful beach front location, all the staff were super friendly and welcoming, and Leo, one of the entertainers, was also really great
Not worth the price — great location, but very disappointing stay
We were very disappointed with our stay. In our view, this hotel does not meet a four-star standard; it feels more like a three-star property. The rooms are dated, with small TVs and uncomfortable beds.
The biggest issue was cleanliness. When we arrived, the toilet had clearly not been properly cleaned after the previous guests—we even have photos. After we complained, a cleaner came but spent only about a minute addressing it. Later, we also found hair on the floor. This is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point.
The hotel also felt focused on charging extra for everything. Even water was not included during the stay, and the constant upselling made us feel more like “walking wallets” than valued guests.
The food in the dining room was disappointing as well. The meat was tough, the chicken was dry, and some dishes did not seem fresh, giving the impression that food was being reused from previous days.
The guest atmosphere is very quiet and seems geared more toward older guests than families. The indoor “hot tub” was also not hot at all—it was cold, so it did not function as a hot tub.
The positives are the outdoor pool area and the location, both of which are excellent. Unfortunately, these were not enough to make up for the room condition, cleanliness issues, food quality, and poor value for money.
Overall, we do not recommend this hotel and would not return. There are better hotels nearby for the price.

Having been a regular visitor since the year that it opened we have always been amazed how well the staff remember us. This year I asked for a specific type and location of room due to my reduced mobility. Not only was my request fulfilled but we also had an upgrade. Congratulations to what we believe to be the best hotel in Cyprus and we look forward to seeing you again.
Amazing
Just had a week here at the athena beach. What a wonderful place. The staff are fabulous. It is a very large hotel and has lots of choices of restaurants. Tip.... go elite class. You can book the a la cartes as many times as you look. Bring your own hairdryer. The hotel one is not great and burns out. Plenty of toiletries. Huge pool. Never had a problem with getting a sunbed at 8am.

A nice relaxing 7 days
The room we stayed in was a little dated and could do with modernising. Other than that the food is amazing, the choice of premium drinks is better than anywhere else that we have stayed in Cyprus previously (9 times). The staff are amazing and friendly with a particular mention to Rai in the adult only area during the daytime and Ahmed in the bar area of an evening.
