Visited Aprohdite sands for 10 days on 8th-18th August, there was 10 of us including 5 children ranging from 3yrs to 17yrs. We arrived about 11pm. Peter met us on arrival and showed us all to our rooms and gave us a little tour of how things worked in the room including the air-conditioning which was bliss and definitely needed! Rooms are lovely and spacious, we were pool facing in a 2 bed/2 bathroom with a huge balcony. No complaints about the rooms at all. Housekeeping came regularly and provided fresh towels and emptied the toilet bins. Huge bonus for us was a washing machine and airer. Came home with barely any washing!
Pools were lovely and warm, very clean. No sunbed wars which was a huge bonus also, you could go down at any time and grab sunbeds. An ice cream van came around 4pm everyday which was lovely as there is no shop on site. The kids really looked forward to it. Try a Rambo!! The local shop and restaurants are lovely. The shop is very basic and you can get essentials like milk and bread but ideally you need the larger supermarket in Timi which is about a 5 minute drive. Peter arranged hire cars for us which were reasonable and stress free, reasonably priced aswell. We drove to Paphos harbour for dinner most nights and visited the water park and Coral bay beach. You are fairly remote so if you like to get out and about a car will be essential. Fantastic holiday and would definitely return.
This appartment complex in the quiet, sleepy village of Mandria is perfect if you just want to relax by one if the 2 pools or as a base for exploring. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroomed appartment. The veranda was large, full length if the apparment, which was equipped with everything needed, including a washing machine. Every room had independent air conditioning and was spotless. Angeliki and Peter were so friendly and helpful and both speak very good English, which was helpful as my Greek is non-existant. If you look at the photos on their website, believe me, they are not doctored, what you see is what you get. It was the perfect, quiet location, which we wanted and we plan to go back again next year. Oh and the sockets are 3 pin British ones, so no need for adaptors!
Place need to advertise a bit more than already, apartment which we choose looking on poctures and reviews is much better than we thought. Honestly, we have too many bathrooms air con x 4 . Peter is the man who knows everything and knows how to speek with holiday makers. If you looking for place free from loud nights and wild parties next door . Place with 5 star swimming pool etc. Place with quiet a private space fully arranged this is the place. Shops very close, Peter will give you gold advises about surrounding aeras, resort will provide you with complete guidance in the area . Honestly you will.not have any questions. Our flight was massively delayed , we arrived at 3am and Peter was waiting "fresh and enthusiastic " to welcome us and provide all necessary informations. He become a close friend to our son after just 15 min (very quiet boy our son) so this is a huge thing folks.
So here's my honest review of Aphrodite sands. We arrived around 9pm and Peter was around to meet us and show us to our accommodation, we had booked a 1 bed apt but were given a 2 bed "townhouse" which was a lovely surprise it was equipt with everything even a washing machine. It was spacious and clean. Aircon was perfect, ensuite, downstairs wc and family bathroom. The shower cubicle in the ensuite was very small and hard to wash as you couldnt turn around very easily so we didn't use it and used the shower In the main bathroom instead which was no bother. Pool was lovely and plenty of beds but we went out of school holidays so maybe busier july/August. About 5 mins walk away is the village Square and that has 3 bars/restaurants and a fish and chip shop/restaurant. We ate there 1 night and the food was lovely and portions were huge but thats not uncommon for Cyprus. Alpha mega is a supermarket 5 mins drive away and sells everything you need for a SC holiday plus they have a hot counter which sells pork leg, roast chickens etc plus salad bars which we enjoyed. Cats onsite are no bother and the complex is kept clean with no cats smells. The gym is a bit dated and the equipment quite rusty, pins for weights are missing or broken and only 1 aircon unit was working when we went in so didn't stay in there long (in the uk it would be a h&s nightmare) 😂. We hired a car which is a must but there is a bus service a few mins walk away. We didn't use Mandria beach so can't comment on that only to say it's a few mins drive away and maybe a 20min walk. Aphrodite waterpark and airport is an easy 10 min drive and Paphos is 20 mins by car. On our last day our flight was at 21:10 so we asked if we could keep our room on so we could use the pool, shower and change and we were allowed to at no extra charge which we were so grateful for, staff were so attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely relaxing break here, accommodation was great 3 bed apartment with en-suite and air conditioning washing machine all you could want. There were six of us so more seating or loungers on the big terrace might be a good idea. The pool was spot on plenty of beds a gym and spa, ice cream van comes a 4pm. The beach and beach bar are around a ten to fifteen minutes walk visit Hannah there, free loungers for patrons. Nice restaurants in the village and the large Alpha Supermarket is excellent. We hired a car from Car jack for five days organised by reception I would recommend them polite and professional. Finally the wonderful hosts Angelica and Peter were brilliant Peter met us on arrival friendly helpful and kind, Thank you.
