Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
It was such a nice stay, very nice staff, the cleaning ladies Sarita and Sabrina are the nicest we have ever withnessed. A nice clean hotel, perfect clean rooms, a very good pool, good breakfast and just overall a 10/10. Such a nice atmosphere with the nice staff! Also a very good place to be because its a 5 minute walk to the boulevard! I would totally recommend this to anybody!
We recently stayed at Anemi Hotel & Suites and, overall, it’s a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious, modern and immaculately clean, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and professional. We genuinely couldn’t fault the hotel itself.
Unfortunately, there were two issues that really took the shine off what would otherwise have been an excellent stay.
We booked a self-catering holiday, so naturally we bought drinks and snacks from the local supermarket. We were then told that we couldn’t consume our own drinks around the pool. A waiter called Som regularly patrols the pool reminding guests of this. I want to make it clear that this is absolutely not a criticism of Som. He has always been polite and respectful and is clearly just following the hotel’s instructions.
The issue is with the policy itself. Nowhere before or during our stay were we informed that guests on a self-catering basis could not consume their own food and drinks around the pool. It feels unreasonable to book self-catering accommodation and then be expected to purchase expensive drinks from the hotel bar every time you want a drink by the pool. Had this policy been made clear before booking, we could have made a more informed decision.
The second issue was with the lifeguard. On more than one occasion, our children were told to stop splashing or throwing a ball in the pool. They weren’t behaving dangerously or causing problems for other guests; they were simply being children on holiday and enjoying themselves. We eventually had to ask the lifeguard to leave them alone because they weren’t doing anything wrong. He attempted to make light of the situation afterwards, but from our perspective it wasn’t a joke. Families choose hotels like this so their children can have fun, and constantly policing normal play takes away from that experience.
It’s a shame because the hotel, facilities and staff are genuinely excellent. With a more guest-friendly approach to self-catering around the pool and a little more tolerance towards children enjoying their holiday, this would easily be a five-star review.
Hari! I just want to say thank you for giving me a one of kind experience! Your service and smile in the morning and evening added towards the hospitality and warmth. You are a great addition to the Anemi hotel! you guys are the best the service and team are fantastic. Thank you Hari!
Just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel. We stayed in a deluxe one bedroom apartment, very spacious and was cleaned every day which was great. Balcony’s are a bit small but was fine. Pool area was good and bonus floats are allowed so kids were happy. Drinks and food at the pool was good but a bit overpriced in my opinion. €12 for a cocktail . Hotel is in a great location, 5 minute walk to the harbour, shops and pubs nearby.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return if the price was right, as we spent quite a lot on food and drink with being self catering it probably would have worked out cheaper staying at an all inclusive hotel.
Lovely hotel, really spacious apartment which was fully kitted out with kitchen equipment, kettle, toasteretc. Room cleaned and bed made every day and a compact fridge freezer which was a real step up from the usual mini sized one hidden in a cupboard. Absolutely amazing and friendly cleaning team, the whole hotel and pool area was immaculate. Would have given our stay 5 star but for the fact that we'd requested a high floor and quiet room and was given a ground floor almost next to the pool. Pointed this out when checking in and was told it must have been a TUI error as they had received no request and that the hotel was full and there were no other apartments free. The only other issue was no acknowledgement or greeting from the front desk staff when entering or leaving the hotel (apart from a lovely guy called Hari I think and he wasn't strictly desk staff) Overall a very enjoyable stay and would we stay there again.....definitely
