Nice Stay
Have stayed here the last couple of years and no complaints. Rooms are well equipped all with a sea view. Not sure if we will be there this year as I have heard that the hotel has apparently been bought and closed from 1st April. Not sure if it’s reopening.

Poor quality hotel
I've given the hotel a 2 star rating only because the breakfast was very good, sadly the hotel was no better than a Travelodge in the UK. It's only saving grace was the view from the balcony although you wouldn't stay on it for very long as the chairs provided were so uncomfortable obviously designed by some medieval tortuturer. The sofa provided had obviously been bought from a second hand shop and was very uncomfortable. The hole suite was poorly furnished throughout. Please see the pictures taken off our room, the pool was not open 😫 or the bar next to it. Overall it was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at on our travels around the world.

CHEC CHECK CHECK before you travel.!! We booked this Hotel as this was close to a wedding we were attending, we booked a superior room with sea views. We arrived late evening,and as some others have said the reception area is drab and gloomy. When we arrived the receptionist said that she was surprised to us, and they didnt think we were coming, she then said she had good news and bad news! The good news was our holiday was going to be cheaper, but the bad news was that the Hotel is now operating as a BnB only, and has been since begining of April, ( we had booked and paid for Half Board), she asked if anyone had told us this. She didnt know we were on a package holiday. She also said that the Hotel was meant to close in April, but it appears to be just running month to month. I asked to speak to a manager, but there was no management on site. She gave us keys to our superior room. When we found it, there was no working light outside the front door, and the door did not close properly due to some damage to the strike plate on the door, and the door frame not being secure to the brickwork. I metioned the light and door to the reception.and she sent a maintenance guy over. He fixed the door but not the light, as he said he could access the control panel as it was broken.The room was basic to say the least. The bathroom and toilet was only accessible through the main bedroom. I contacted my travel agents emergency number, and they could not believe that no one knew about the Amphora change of operation, but vowed to get me to another hotel. The next morning , in the light of day, it was clear that the hotel has been in decline for some years, it is in dire need of an overhaul, the bathroom smelt of drains, and was confined. There was a safe to use, but looked like it could break at any moment, the fridge was in a small cupboard, and the heat it was producing from being in a confined space was cancelling out its cooling. We went and had breakfast, but it was very basic, the staff was ok, but even they said the future of the hotel is in doubt. I suffer from anxiety, and i was suffering alot due with all the doubt if we would get moved to somewhere else. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone, even as a BnB I would be dissapointed staying here.
If you can change your place to stay if u have already booked here i would recommend to do it.
Luckily, between my Travel Agents , Cyplon , and Dionysis , yes 3 different companies involved, found this out the more phone calls i made, i got moved by late afternoon the next day, to a far superior location.
Please Avoid.
This is the third time we have visited Amphora, albeit not since 2018. This once idyllic hotel has gone downhill at a rapid rate of knots. It does not match the website description at all, there is no bar, no evening restaurant and no pool snacks. The hotel has been sold and no one in reception has any idea who has bought it, and are working month to month. The infrastructure is awful, with some areas I would only describe as dangerous.
Please seek alternative accommodation in Paphos, this once lovely hotel is now no more than a crumbling wreck.

Very enjoyable stay
We stopped at the amphora suites whilst over for a wedding, we found the hotel complex very nice, receptionist was very pleasant on check in and throughout our stay, our room was directly over from reception and was very clean, with daily room service, the balcony consisted of a pool and seaview, Breakfast was excellent with a varied choice, with the hotel manager greeting us every morning and offering his knowledge of the area, The hotel is ideally placed with x2 supermarkets and various restaurants and bars that are around a third cheaper than the harbour area, The hotel is opposite a sandy beach with plenty of space and beds unlike the all inclusive hotels in both directions, Yes the hotel does need a bit of work mostly around the pool area where the tiles are loose and missing in areas, flaking paintwork in other areas, but overall for the price we had a very enjoyable stay, If your looking to relax and explore pathos dont be put off by negative feedback, Ps fill in your free airport return slip 48hrs before you leave or like me you will end up paying 30 euros,
