Aliathon Resort

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was a beautiful place, full of life, with a welcoming atmosphere. Everything was exceptionally clean, the staff were polite and friendly, and there were several great restaurants to choose from.

We had hoped to book a swim-up pool room, but they were all fully booked. Maybe next time!

There were plenty of activities for everyone, so there was always something to do, whether you wanted to relax or stay active. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely recommend this hotel. We look forward to coming back in the future.

We have just returned from an amazing week at the Holiday Village Aliathon in Cyprus, and honestly, we could have stayed even longer.

Our family of eight stayed in two villas in the Fishing Village, and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The resort had a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, and although it was starting to get busier as we were leaving, there was never any struggle to find sunbeds, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

The food was fantastic, with plenty of choice and consistently high quality throughout our stay. The staff were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything was done with a genuine smile.

Cyprus itself is a beautiful country, and the location of the resort made it the perfect place for a family holiday. We created so many wonderful memories and would return without hesitation.

I do, however, want to give a very special mention to one member of staff who truly made our holiday unforgettable – Soula. She went above and beyond every single day. She was amazing with our children, wonderful with all of us as a family, and made us feel so welcome and valued throughout our stay. Her kindness, warmth, and enthusiasm were exceptional, and she genuinely made our holiday what it was. People like Soula are a real credit to the Holiday Village, and we hope she receives the recognition she truly deserves.

I'd also like to say a huge thank you to the reception team. Every member of staff we dealt with was kind, patient, and professional. They always did their very best to resolve any issues promptly and effectively, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. They are a real asset to the resort.

To give a completely honest review, the only negatives we experienced had nothing to do with the hotel staff or Cyprus itself. Unfortunately, a few inconsiderate fellow holidaymakers were very loud late into the night on a couple of occasions, which led to disrupted sleep. Reception did deal with it after we contacted them, although it did take a few calls before the noise eventually stopped.

One thing worth mentioning is that there are quite a lot of cats around the resort and the surrounding area. If you're not a cat lover, it's something to be aware of. However, they aren't a nuisance at all—they keep themselves to themselves, and we never noticed any unpleasant smells or mess from them.

I'd also recommend booking your excursions with the local Cypriot companies just outside the resort rather than through TUI. We cancelled the excursions we'd booked with TUI because the local companies offered better trips at much better prices. On top of that, you're supporting local businesses and the local economy.

The only criticism I have of the Holiday Village itself is that the Fishing Village accommodation is looking quite tired and would really benefit from some investment. A refurbishment, a fresh coat of paint, and some general modernisation would make a huge difference, as parts of it are beginning to show their age. The outside areas could also be maintained a little better at times. There was occasionally rubbish left around the grounds that wasn't cleared as quickly as it could have been. None of this spoiled our holiday, but with a little attention to these areas, the resort could be absolutely outstanding.

Despite those few points, we had a fantastic family holiday, made memories that will last a lifetime, and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you to everyone at Holiday Village Aliathon, especially Soula and the wonderful reception team, for making our stay so special. We can't wait to come back one day.
