Wonderful hotel
Fabulous hotel location walking distance to the harbour, very clean & tidy. Great staff especially Anna-Maria in the restaurant a lovely lady… nothing too much trouble for all the staff. Had a wonderful relaxing holiday.. thank you.

Our 2nd year at this hotel.. Where do I start? This hotel has it all.. Location, a short walk to the beautiful harbour, although there is a bus stop located outside the hotel with a regular bus service. The hotel itself is spotless with a real friendly atmosphere. Not one of the staff passed you by, we were always greeted with a good morning or afternoon. There were so many staff to mention, who are all so friendly & hardworking. The staff on reception do an amazing job, we were given a warm welcome on arrival & a lovely sandwich and drink. The restaurant is run like clockwork, staff there to greet you and take you to your table, always with a smile. Elena (station leader) is such a beautiful girl, she made us feel so welcome, always asking how our day was & if all was well with us. The food was lovely & plentiful. We were half board plus and as we had missed our dinner on our first night we were given a voucher to use for lunch. We were also impressed with the lunch choice & the fact you could swap dinner for lunch. We requested the room we had last year & were given it on arrival, along with a bottle of prosecco ( lovely gesture) The room as usual was perfect, spotlessly clean with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Sheets changed regular & towels changed daily. The allocation of sunbeds is a winner for us & nothing is any trouble for the pool attendants. The pool bar is spotless and very professionally run. The waiting staff are very attentive. Always making sure you are attended to. Joanna at the pool bar is an absolute treasure, nothing is any bother, always over straight away to ask if we wanted food or drinks. The young lad Kyriakos is so hard working, we saw him both day & night and he was still smiling & singing away. The animation staff are a fab team, such a cheery bunch, asking us to get involved but not pushy if you just wanted a quiet day. We also loved the fact you could put any food or drinks on a bill to your room and pay at the end of your stay. There really is nothing you could fault at Alexander the Great.... It really is GREAT!!!!! We will see you next year 💕

An oasis on the ocean
We have been returning to this hotel for many years and every time, we leave more satisfied and pleased than the time before. A great deal of the credit goes to the entire team, from the General Manager and the F & B team, to guest Relations, the Head Hostess, Reception, Pool Services and all their colleagues. The warmth of their smiles, their genuine friendliness and their sincere personal approach make every stay truly special. We leave with wonderful memories and already look forward to our next visit. My partner and l love the Hotel.
Alexander The Great hotel it's absolutely superb .My partner and l stayed 3 times and we are booked May all ready. Location it's beautiful so close to the Harbour. Staff very friendly, food amazing. Superior room it's perfect View from the room it's amazing.

We stayed here for 2 weeks September 2026 as a base for our wedding in Paphos.
Good points: Extremely clean Food is excellent Restaurant and entertainment staff excellent House keeping exceptional and very helpful Fabulous location walking distance to main harbour/bars/restaurant areas and beach a stone throw away
Bad points:
Asking reception/guest services/management for any help on your stay. Forget it. EXTREMELY unhelpful and don’t care. We had 35 guests in the hotel and we asked for simple things and it was like pulling teeth and just get shut down on a simple NO. No explanation or anything. Sunbed allocation service is a great idea so you haven’t got to get up early to fight for beds however the staff who deal with it clearly don’t know how to use the system we had constant agro action with being moved about, people on our allocated beds due to the staff keep messing the system up and most of them other than Stefanos are rude and arrogant. Lifeguards. Yes every hotel needs them but again very rude and after our autistic child have a lilo and a floaty dolphin for 12 days of our 14 day trip they decided to all of a sudden change the rules to no floats whatsoever and were so rude to us and our child about it. Drink prices. I get everyone needs a mark up and to make abit of money but when the shop literally I mean opposite the hotel sells the same drinks for a fraction of the price no wonder everyone and I mean everyone buys there own drink and brings it around the pool. Odd few who can’t be asked to go across the road and get it use the bar service but otherwise don’t bother. Also after 11 days we find out the hotel does “happy hour” 5pm-6pm where drinks are sold at half price. Thats when everyone buys there drinks at the hotel. Otherwise a beer in the hotel is €4.50 ( KEO ) shop opposite €1.95 same with any cider, spirit or soft drink. Hotel is predominantly an older crowd especially with the SAGA crowds so for families and younger adults I’d suggest elsewhere
