A lovely week in the sun in a superb hotel.
This is a lovely hotel situated in an elevated position overlooking 2 beaches.
The staff are all wonderful, from the reception area, all the waiters and waitresses, house keeping and maintenance. The food on offer is amazing. Very good breakfast options. Dinner varied every evening where the focus was on celebrating food from around the world. The à la carte restaurant here, and it the neighbouring sister hotel was excellent.
Once there we decided to upgrade to AI as we were further from the restaurants on the strip than we thought. Dinner in the hotel was going to cost €40 pp plus drinks so we thought the €70 pp pd was a good deal.
In our experience, if you stay in an even numbered room, you might experience noise from the service yard in the early morning.
The bus stop to Paphos is 5 minutes walk away, as is the nearby supermarket. Car hire seemed expensive and we were told taxis are also. Day ticket on bus €6.50 but they get very busy in town to the point, in busy periods, they don’t pick up unless they drop.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

The perfect hotel?
We have been here four times and it feels like home from home. We come for (in alphabetical order) the climate, the food, the location, the staff, and the tranquillity. Climate: Cyprus has 300-340 days a year of sunshine - enough said. Food: This is among the best we have found anywhere. The breakfast/half board/all inclusive buffet features an abundance of tropical fruits, creative salads, fish, seafood, roast & other meats, cheese, plus Italian style pasta/pizza as desired. Oh and an extensive dessert buffet! Evenings are themed so Mediterranean one night, Cyprus cuisine with dancing another night. The Psari fine dining restaurant is off the scale. The chef is so passionate about his food and it shows in the creations. My hubby was enjoying his warm goats cheese salad so much he said to me "I don't want this to end." And as for the white chocolate log with coconut ice cream and mango mousse... Location: This is unequalled - on the edge of coral bay - sunrise on one side of the hotel, sunset on the other. You can be in the sea in a couple of minutes or relax by the pool with the view across the bay. Staff: The staff are exceptional and are now more friends than staff. This is not just good service, the hotel have captured something quite special with their team led by an outstanding general manager, Andri, who hosts a weekly cocktail party for guests. The hotel is quiet and tranquil - the 5 star spa even more so. A fellow guest said to me "I walked in reception and just though wow - this place is instantly calming." If you want local tavernas, they are 5 mins walk away. Why do we keep coming back? Because it's the most perfect hotel we've ever found so why wouldn't we?!
Outstanding hotel and staff
When we arrived, we were given such a lovely warm welcome from the staff that we knew we had returned to our bit of paradise and were set for another fantastic holiday.
The Thalassa is a truly outstanding hotel, it is clearly evident that Andri (General Manager) and her management team are passionate about providing the best possible experience for the guests. Even since our last visit in June this year there have been a number of enhancements, particularly in the restaurant serving areas.
The location, with its spectacular views, coupled with the exceptionally attentive service from the amazing staff, make this hotel our natural choice for a pampered relaxing holiday, infact we have already booked for June 2027, which will be our 9th visit to the hotel.
A great thank you to Andri and all her wonderful staff. We can't wait to return to our bit of paradise.

Relaxed again
We love this hotel!! Third time here, so chilled,right on the beach,great food,cocktails,staff are the best,so helpful and friendly,hotel is classy but not blingy (it’s not trying to be pretentious just natural) If you’re looking to stay in a no fuss hotel in coral bay would recommend Thalassa.
Enthralled
We were enthralled with our stay in this intimate boutique hotel. It has a spectacular setting with perfect sea and hillside views plus the interesting Mycenaean site next door. The Thalassa Boutique Hotel exudes a truly peaceful and relaxing quality throughout.
The staff make this hotel, every single one impressed with sincere service always with such friendly smiles. They called you by name and quickly knew your quirks and preferences.
The hotel never felt crowded there was plenty of space to sit and relax around the pool and gardens and the lawn outside the Ippokampos Beach Bar.
At night when the terraces were lit they became enchanting relaxing spaces.
The buffet restaurant never felt crowded and it was always possible to sit on the outside terrace. The food is varied and of high quality with different themed evenings, supervised by a dedicated Head Chef always on hand to speak to and advise. Breakfast was extensive and varied and included fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh fruit. We looked forward to our freshly made omelettes prepared by Basel. He delighted in remembering your preferences, made it look effortless, when it was anything but and always with such an engaging smile.
The service provided at Ippokampos Beach Bar and the Captains lobby bar was second to none especially the skills of Alon who mixed the perfect Manhattan, and special mention to Bibash at the iko.
There was an excellent varied professional entertainment programme provided including a pianist, bazouki player, guitar and violinist, singers and Cypriot folklore folk dancers.
We were staying to celebrate a very special occasion and staff ensured this was memorable for us. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the Psari Restaurant and were surprised and delighted with a special cake presented to us from the management and with a card signed personally by Andrie the General Manager. Thank you Andrie and the whole team and to Joanna for her help with our booking and making our stay possible.
