Amazing hotel - will defintely return

From the time we arrived at the hotel till the time we left - it was incredible! We arrived very late, just before midnight and were able to go to the Patisserie and have a sandwich and profiteroles after which became a daily ritual as they were just the best. Everything was explained to us at check in regarding the a la carte restaurants, the sun bed reservations, meal times etc.

Room - was nice however we did have a few issues the first day with our shower leaking terribly, housekeeping were there very quickly with plenty of towels for us and they mopped it all up. The next day maintenance came and unblocked it and put new sealant all around. We then had a problem after our first day hanging our damp pool towels up as they became covered in flies. I went to reception and they then instructed the pool reservation department that we could change our towels everyday at the end so we didn't have to take wet towels up to the room. They also offered for us to change rooms but we were all unpacked and settled by then and reallt didn't want the hassle. Instead I asked if we could keep our room on free of charge on the last day as we weren't leaving until 4pm - this was no problem. It was kept spotlessly clean all week although our maid kept forgetting to leave us face cloths which we sometimes had to go and ask for but it wasn't the end of the world. Beds were comfy but the air conditioning was so loud even on low setting. I am not a good sleeper so was glad I had taken my ear plugs.

Sun beds - The sun bed reservations is an absolute game changer, I wish all hotels did this. They showed us a map, we decided to go on the grass in front of the pool looking on to the beach and explaoned we wanted the sun and not shade. We were right in the middle so a 1 minute walk to the pool and a 1 minute walk to the sea, we could go on a list if we wanted to move to the pool when they became available but were were happy where we were - there was a breeze, it was lovely and quietand we had the best of both worlds.

Food - oh where do I start? The breakfast was amazing, anything you could possibly want, my daughter loved the pancakes, there were freshly cooked fried eggs, in fact any kind of eggs you wanted were there. The buffet restaurant for the evening was also very good with lots of choice. always something you liked, in fact to many options for me - I always over ate!

The A La Carte restaurants were also lovely, tip - book them as soon as you can as they do get busy. We didn't do the Asian and I wish we had but we did Route 66 - best burger I have ever had. Greek - best lamp cutlets I have ever had - cooked to perfection and my daughter loved the moussaka. The Italian was also very good although personal choice I did prefer the other two.

Staff - this is what makes this hotel the best. They all are so polite and friendly and the service was always excellent. Special mention to Anna and Kristina who made us the best iced vanilla lattes every morning (now hooked). I have never drank alcohol in the daytime but everyday we had a strawberry or a lemon daiquiri - it was wonderful. Special mention to Ina and Margerita aswell who sorted out our room issues.

If there were any negatives it would be the air conditioning in the bedroom was very loud, no plug sockets by the bed which is unusual, bit of a pain having tp plug them in on the other side of the room and the ice machines never worked at the self service drinks section so always had to go the bar to get ice. It didn't spoil anything though.

All in all a fabulous stay at the St George - we will definitely be back.

Not so great this time :-(

This was our second year as returning guests for our 2 week stay at St George Hotel. Unfortunately, it did not measure up to our experience of the previous year.
The first issue was checking in, when we arrived at 2am along with a large wedding group. The night manager was completely overwhelmed and gave us about 30 seconds of his time where he rushed through the details of the hotel which neither myself or my wife understood as it was spoken at such a speed. Thankfully, as returning guests we already knew everything but had we not been it would have left us very confused and unsure. (Note to hotel) If you know a large number of people will be checking in at a late hour put more staff on so guests can be welcomed and given the time they have paid for.
Last year was calm, relaxing and an around wonderful holiday., hence the reason we returned. However, this year the hotel seemed full of much younger guests (18 or below) and large noisy wedding groups that monopolised areas of the restaurants, pool areas, bars or entertainment areas. A prime example of this happened in the Tiki bar where a large drunk wedding group were screaming and shouting so loud the live singer could not be heard and a 3ft inflatable penis was being thrown around by the party . I felt like I was in Blackpool not a luxury 4 star hotel in Cyprus.
The staff on the whole were very attentive and friendly, special mention to Ioanna who remembered us from the previous year and the other girl (sorry I didn’t catch your name) who made us feel very welcome and provided first class service in the Semeli Wine Bar. The young girl in the Boulevard Patisserie on the other hand was miserable and clearly did not was to be there.
We tried all of the à la carte restaurants and all had decent menus and pleasant food except Route 66 and the inedible steak (you have been warned) The rooms were clean and our housemaid was always asking us if we needed fresh towels or anything else. A nice touch by house keeping was when they noticed we had used our 3 coffee sachets in our room on the first day and the next day they were replaced 10 fold, Sun lounger allocation is another reason we returned as not having the 7am fight everyday was a godsend. My wife and I really did have such an incredible holiday last year but I think the hotel has changed it’s business model now and are looking into becoming a hotel to attract a younger clientele and as a wedding venue for larger groups. Unfortunately, I think it’s losing that calm, relaxing dare I say mature atmosphere it’s had in previous years. I might be wrong but can only go on a comparison from the previous year.
We won’t be returning next year sadly but I don’t think the hotel will lose any sleep over that.

Great hotel stay.

Great hotel with great food in the restaurants. The sunset bar us the place to be to watch, enjoy and take pictures. Pool is a good temperature and plenty of inflatables to use. Allocated sunbeds was great. My only downside, for me, was the location. I like to be able to walk close by and wander around shops. Sadly there is little within walking distance but a bus ride to Pafos is nice and easy. I do wish their shop sold some quality clothing. The hotel is stunning and think a range of clothing would benefit the hotel. All in all, it's a great place which variety of excellent food options.

Exceptional Luxury in Cyprus

Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort was easily one of the most impressive stays I’ve had in Cyprus. The property is absolutely beautiful, set along the coast near the Akamas Peninsula, with incredible views of the Mediterranean and a sense of space and tranquility that immediately makes the stay feel special.

The rooms and suites are spacious, elegant, and beautifully designed, with a contemporary luxury feel that never becomes cold or impersonal. Everything was impeccably clean and maintained, and the entire resort feels polished down to the smallest details.

The facilities are exceptional. The pools, beach cove, spa, fitness facilities, restaurants, and beautifully landscaped grounds make it very easy to spend several days here without feeling the need to leave the resort.

Dining was another major highlight. There is an impressive variety of restaurants and bars, and the quality of the food matched the level of the property.

What really elevated the experience, however, was the service. The team managed to be attentive and highly professional while still feeling warm and genuinely hospitable. At this level of luxury, the small details matter, and Cap St Georges consistently delivered them.

The atmosphere is sophisticated but wonderfully relaxed. Despite being a substantial resort, it never felt overwhelming or hectic, and there are plenty of quieter areas where you can simply enjoy the sea, the views, and the surroundings.

This is true resort luxury rather than simply a beautiful hotel. From the setting and accommodations to the dining, amenities, cleanliness, and service, the entire experience felt thoughtfully executed. It is certainly a splurge, but for a special trip to Cyprus, Cap St Georges delivers the kind of experience that feels genuinely memorable.

I would return without hesitation.

So relaxing

Amazingly relaxing hotel with amazing staff. My wife and I needed this so much and was so pleased we chose this hotel as we had a great 2 weeks with the best staff in an amazing place. The sun bed allocation is a game changer and allowed us to sleep in when needed and still keep we on our bed. Jahan on the allocation desk was amazing and deserves all the credit she gets as everyone we spoke to were complimentary of her. We were up in the Iridar pool as it’s so quiet and relaxing and Anisha in the bar was amazing and her iced coffees and milkshakes were the best we’ve tasted anywhere. The four in house dining restaurants were absolutely delicious and worth booking into twice each, the main buffet restaurant was ok and the food good but nowhere near the level of the 4 individual restaurants. Our room was kept immaculately clean by our maid (didn’t get her her name but we was in 2617). Only a couple of niggles that we found is the entertainment wasn’t the best and was extremely loud at night that many were not happy with as was the music for the aqua aerobics and the pool got scummy around the edges near the end of our stay. Many guests said they were to return and we rarely return to many places but we would definitely come back here as the rest d relaxation we achieved were unrivalled. Thank you all at St George.
