St George Beach Hotel and Spa Resort - Adults Only

Just got back from a week at this hotel and honestly, what a truly hidden gem! From speaking to other guests, the majority were returning customers, which really speaks for itself.

The best thing about this hotel by far has to be the sunbed allocation. We were positioned right outside the Sunset Bar and, after a day or so, we were given the opportunity to upgrade our beds to around the main pool. We actually refused because, in our opinion, we were in the best position! We had the most spectacular views, a lovely breeze, and most importantly we were right by the bar! 😂

The food was fantastic and you really couldn't ask for more. There are a couple of sandwich bars about offering fresh salads, wraps, sandwiches, ice cream and desserts, as well as the main restaurants. We booked all four à la carte restaurants but ended up cancelling the Greek one simply because we could not fit everything in during the week and wanted to experience a trip and meal out. The portion sizes are huge, but I would definitely recommend booking the à la carte restaurants as soon as you land, they say after 20 mins of arriving they activate your card to book these restaurants they're well worth it.

For those who love their wine, make sure you visit the wine bar by reception. Sit outside, grab a drink and watch the sunset — the views are absolutely stunning.

We also visited the Tiki Bar, which was great for a bit of entertainment and a change of scenery.

One thing I would 100% recommend if you're staying in Paphos is the Ocean Vision boat trip from the harbour. It cost us €75 and OMG, it was worth every single penny! In fact, we all said we would have happily paid double. I honestly don't know how they make money at that price!

From the moment you arrive, the entertainment is incredible — saxophonists, singers, dancers, acrobats, a DJ, fireworks and even a water display. Food and drinks are included and everything was so well organised, with food being served table by table. It was easily one of the best experiences we've ever had.

If you're going to Paphos, you absolutely need to do this trip — honestly, you'll regret it if you don't!

We've had such an amazing time that I've actually just booked another trip for May, and I genuinely cannot wait to come back!

Ignore the negative reviews because you'll always get a few negative nancies 😂. For us, this hotel was a fantastic find and we couldn't fault the overall experience.

We honestly couldn’t fault the St George Beach Hotel & Spa. From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptionally clean and well looked after. I didn’t see a single fly or insect during our entire stay, which is quite an achievement for a hotel in a warm climate!

The service was absolutely perfect. The staff were amazing, always pleasant, friendly and genuinely helpful. Our room was serviced every day, and we were even surprised with a bottle of Prosecco for hubby's birthday, which was such a lovely touch.

One of the best ideas was the allocated sunbeds. It completely removes the usual stress of having to get up early to reserve a bed. You can easily manoeuvre your sunbed into the sun or shade as the day goes on, and if you want to move somewhere else, you can do so easily. Such a simple idea, but it makes a huge difference to the experience.

The food was brilliant, and most importantly, it had FLAVOUR! Even the standard buffet food was really enjoyable, which isn’t always the case with all-inclusive hotels. There are four à la carte restaurants to choose from, and the Asian restaurant was definitely our favourite.

The views are beautiful too. Being able to see the sea from virtually everywhere in the hotel makes the whole place feel special. Some branded spirits are also included with the all-inclusive package, which was another nice bonus.

The only downsides for us were the sea and the evening entertainment. The sea can be tricky to access because of the rocky seabed, so water shoes would definitely be useful. The pool water was also quite warm, although we were there at the end of August, so that’s perhaps to be expected.

If evening entertainment is important to you, this might be one area where the hotel could improve. What was available tended to start quite late and was fairly short, and the quality was a little mediocre, although Elvis was actually very good!

Overall, though, these are minor points compared with everything the hotel gets right. The cleanliness, service, food, facilities, views and genuinely lovely staff made this one of the best holidays we’ve ever had.

We would absolutely return and highly recommend the St George Beach Hotel & Spa.

Stayed for 7 nights with my daughter and overall we had a fabulous holiday. We found the AI food fantastic, plenty of choice and good quality. The coffee bar and cakes are lovely and the snack bar pizza is great, freshly made. The drinks are ok, better than some hotels I have been to but could be better. I don't think Gordons pink gin and Aperol should be chargeable but not much of a downer ! The beach bar is just beautiful and we enjoyed a wine there after a swim in the sea - this was my favourite part of the day ! The Asian restaurant is great, other 3 Alacarte restaurants we could take or leave and actually the buffet is just as good in our opinion. Entertainment was fine pretty average for an AI. Now for the negative, I was not a fan of the Sunbed allocation system, as we had a shady grass area for 4 days before we could move and even then only got by the pool, where I would actually choose, on day 6. We were bitten galore by tiny flies or ants whilst on the grass area. I know choice is limited due to capacity and yes you pick from available spots, but when it is unfamiliar you are a little clueless and plenty of people we spoke to felt unhappy with the choice. I prefer choosing my own and have never had a ‘sunbed war’ ! Other than this, I love the hotel and would definitely return, along with feeling a little better equipped with knowledge of where I would want a sunbed !
