Lovely stay

Another lovely stay at St George, 14nights passed all too quickly. Facilities are very good, grounds, common areas and rooms all kept to a high standard. Staff are the backbone of any business and it was good to see lots of familiar faces giving a first class service. Special mention has to go to Andreas and his team along with Wojtec entertainment, and Anisha small pool bar. As well as team smile at the sun bed station. I note many negative comments re the Drops terrace entertainment for me it was ok ( but I would still like to see a bit more veriety ) I think that we need to remember we are at a hotel resort and not the O2 or Hydro. All in all another great stay and will hopefully return.

Very good 4 star hotel

Very relaxing hotel and you are made to feel welcome from the start. Staff are freindly. Although the hotel was near full, you are never rushed and restaurants never seem to be full. Super stress free. Allocated loungers with parasol. Great idea and it works. Beach towels allocated at same time. Food is 4 star quality, inline with the hotel, with some real star dishes at the buffet. I particularly liked the beef stew. Look out for the roasted joints of meat each evening....the lamb was excellent. Also there is an online booking station at reception where you can book your themed restaurants. Filtered water stations dotted around everywhere so wise to bring your own drinking vessel. Two bottles of 1 litre size mineral water in your room on arrival, these are not replaced and will need to be refilled at one of many water stations when empty or you can buy bottled water in the onsite shop. The fairly large onsite shop sells vaps, tobacco, alcohol, tourist gifts etc we bought a good beachbag from the shop.

There is a small beach area which has a rocky bottom so aqua shoes maybe a wise choice.

Floor level zero is Reception and a reception bar which opens at 6pm is a fantastic cocktail bar. Also on this floor is a great wine bar with outside seating. Other bars onsite as well. Very good snack bars onsite that open at 10am so if you miss breakfast you have some food choices.

Sometimes it feels like you are in a five star hotel. Very good value. Want to rebook.

Fantastic time

We have just returned from a fabulous 10 night stay at St George. Everything from start to finish was seamless. All the staff are helpful and friendly. Sunbed allocation is a game changer and we were allocated sunbeds on the grass area which were perfect. Big shout out to Anna and Christina at the pool bar. The food was amazing, you will never go hungry here and we especially enjoyed the Asian restaurant. We have already booked to come back in November and next July. If i had any complaint it would be to allow people to play tennis after 8pm. There is no shade on the court and during the summer months it is just far too hot to play in the daytime.

A Week of Blissful Paradise

We stayed at St George’s between 10-17th July and were delighted with the hotel. Upon entering the resort, we were greeted with champagne and a room upgrade to a suite which set the tone for our wonderful stay. For reference, we are a couple in our late 20s with no children. I would highly recommend the resort for couples and older families looking for a week of sunshine, rest and indulgence!

Food and Drink After a flight delay, we were peckish although that is never a problem at St George’s as the cafe-patisserie-bar was open with an assortment of wraps, toasted sandwiches and cakes which can be enjoyed whenever you fancy. In addition to the cafe, there is a daily evening buffet which we thoroughly enjoyed, plenty of options ranging from pasta, freshly grilled meat, salads, bread and more. There are also 5 restaurants that you can book into, we tried four of them throughout our stay (Asian, Italian, Greek, USA and live dining). Our favourite was the USA restaurant (the chicken burger was great, as was the big burger!).

As for drinks, cocktails, coffees and soft drinks can be enjoyed at six different cafes and bars within the resort, including a swim up pool bar. I was thoroughly impressed with the wide variety of cocktails available as often all inclusive resorts can be a bit stingy with their offerings but St George really does offer the works. I recommend the pina coladas by the pool, margaritas at the sunset bar and strawberry daiquiris at the tiki bar. The sunset bar made for a very romantic evening watching the sunset over delicious cocktails. The tiki bar offers an evening tropic vibe with fun glasses, adding an extra bit of whimsical fun. The wine bar and cocktail bars were also firm favourites for us during our stay, with plenty of space both inside and on the terraces overlooking the sunset.

Customer Service Our overall experience with the staff at St George’s was very positive, especially with the concierge who went above and beyond to help us settle in, moving our bags and assisting us to our transport as we checked out. The staff at the sunbed allocation were also very friendly, as were those at the pool bar, cocktail bars, wine bars and the buffet.

Entertainment The resort offered a nice range of activities throughout the day which whilst we didn’t necessarily utilise, could be beneficial for someone who enjoys darts, table tennis, pilates or aerobics. I did join in with the pool aerobics on one occasion and must give props to the instructor for his high energy and positivity, even ending the class with a shot of peach schnapps! It isn’t usually my scene but I found it to be a good laugh.

The resort is also well located right next to a water sports facility at the beach where you can rent jet skis, water skis, paddle boards and more for a fair price. We enjoyed the jet ski and paddle boarding and enjoyed how convenient it was in its proximity to the resort.

The evening entertainment was also pleasant, offering live pianists, musicians in the tiki bar and a fantastic Elvis impersonator. We didn’t maximise the entertainment but if you enjoy hotel entertainment, I would rate it as a satisfactory offering. We were visiting during the world cup and this was well offered to guests, played in a range of their bars.

Accommodation We were thrilled with our upgrade to a suite and were genuinely impressed with the amount of space we enjoyed. The balcony offered a great view of both the pool and the sea and I would consider booking the suite again to enjoy the luxury of the additional room. The entire hotel is immaculate in its cleanliness and the cleaners work very hard to ensure a timely turnover of the rooms each day.

Sunbed Allocation I appreciated the hotel’s proactivity in resolving the frequent issue of reserving sunbeds. They have a special team who ask you where you would like to be based and we were given prime pool side spots for the duration of our stay. No arguments and very smooth. This is also where you get your pool towels.

Excursions If you can pull yourself away from the paradise that is St George’s, there are TUI reps on site daily who will advise you on the different trips available and book them for you. We went on one excursion to Aphrodite’s pond and a boat trip to the blue lagoon. This cost 35 euros each and for the price, we were very pleased with our experience.

Overall, I was really impressed with the resort’s luxurious feel, the food and beverages and peaceful vibe. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and indulgent stay, particularly for those who appreciate a 16+ resort. I would love to go back in the future!

Amazing Hotel and Staff

From arriving to leaving this hotel ticks all the boxes. All staff so friendly, amazing food, sunbed allocation a game changer.Absolute perfect stay, would highly recommend to anyone. As serving drinks to underage drinkers is a laugh, our daughter is eighteen and got asked about her age. No staff expect tips but they do deserve them, they all work so hard but still always smiling, even in the unbearable heat . If you feel like moaning, imagine how the staff feel working in unbearable heat. This hotel is spotless, housekeeping staff deserve a medal. We will return, Thankyou to all for an amazing holiday.
